Educators' thought process is undergoing a sea of change along with transition towards education brand building. Most of the branding frameworks focus on logo design, style and look & feel rather than covering deeper aspects of building a global brand. This study aims to cover broader aspects of global education brand building from the student perspective and identify key issues emerging economy management institutes face while building a global brand. Mixed method approach was adopted to delve deep into issues in building global management education brands from emerging economies. Open-ended unstructured interviews with 18 education experts resulted in the identification of key attributes and antecedents, also validated with a structured literature review. One of the key ways that environment and health consciousness is getting reflected is through consumers' increased interest in organic food (von Alvensleben, 1998). More than 140 countries are now producing certified organic food with 32.2 million hectares of agricultural land being managed organically globally by more than 1.2 million producers (Willer and Kilcher, 2009). Global sales of organic products had reached 46.1 billion US dollars in 2007 (Willer and Kilcher, 2009). Schlegelmich et al. (1996) have indicated that the increase in environmental consciousness has had a profound impact on consumer behavior whereby, the green product is expanding at a fast pace.

Further, the thematic analysis identified underlying themes and their inter-linkages.FindingsThe inter-linkages of 12 emergent themes were showcased in the form of a causal-chain conceptual framework, highlighting antecedents, mediators, moderators and consequences.Research limitations/implicationsFuture research involves six directions, and researchers should empirically test out the proposed conceptual framework and take the given research directions forward.Practical implicationsRetailers should understand UGC motivators to launch targeted campaigns to amplify UGC with firm-generated content and increase overall engagement and sales of a brand.Orig...

India stays to be a driving force for worldwide sourcing growth despite rising de-globalization moves across Western economies, challenges posed by East European nations, Russia, China and East Asia. A pertinent question that comes up is how will India take on the rivalry, while the Indian IT services sector seems to be content and complacent. One can see that the hunger for growth which we saw in the late 1990s and the decade of 2000s is fast eroding. India’s incentive to the world market was its economies of scale and cost advantage; however, the disruption created by the extant outsourcing or offshoring business model is fast receding. The Indian IT Services players turned complacent while competing as disruption and differentiation gave them a unique advantage and value proposition. This article builds on various articles in this domain while analysing how complacency a...

Established service quality frameworks such as SERVQUAL and SERVPERF have been applied in the banking sector. While these models are widely accepted, they are expensive because of the need for replication across bank branches. The purpose of this paper is to propose a novel, user friendly and cost effective approach by amalgamating the traditional concept of service quality in banks (marketing base) and sentiment analysis literature (information systems base). Design/methodology/approach In this study, the main objective is to analyze user reviews to better understand the correlation between RATER dimension sentiment scores as independent variables and user overall rating (customer satisfaction) grouping in “good” and “bad” as dependent variable through development of authors’ own logistic regression model using lexicon-based sentiment analysis. The model has ...

Design/methodology/approach The data set includes 232 variables studied in 35 research papers, collected using well-defined search and inclusion criteria. Thematic analysis is used to identify patterns in the data set. Findings The eight themes emerging from the analysis are arranged in the form of a conceptual framework to model the decision-making process of users. The position of themes in the model is determined by the most dominant variable type in the theme and by employing the technology acceptance model as the reference paradigm. Research limitations/implications The current review contributes to the advancement of literature by setting a research agenda for scholars working in the field of consumer behavior and human–computer interaction. Future research should improve the generalizability of the r...

It attempts to understand the variation in the advertising spend to sales ratio for the home region and global markets for a sample of marketers by analysing along the variables of category (surrogate for advertising task), region (home base) and companies themselves. This has been done by applying the C&RT technique of the automatic interaction detector (AID) family. The key point emerging from this analysis is that, at every level, the category is the main determinant for explaining the variation in global advertising to spend ratio as well as the home region advertising to spend ratio. Advertising budget setting methods Empirical literature suggests that advertisers are using diverse and multiple approaches to aid decisions on advertising budget setting. Most studies of advertising budgeting since Borden's (1942) pioneering work have analysed Western markets, and the US and UK markets in particular. These studies have examined primarily the descriptive issues of the process of setting the budget and the methods used in the process (e.g. recent times, a parallel stream of budgeting research has developed, which examines especially the processes involved in advertising budgeting
