The study adopted qualitative methods and secondary data collected from relevant reports, questionnaires randomly distributed to the general populace as well as interviews with Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) and the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) officials. The paper highlights the global and national status of ICT adoption in Zimbabwe which is the key driver to the successful implementation of e-voting, internet coverage, and use in the country. The research also investigated how Zimbabwe citizens in the diaspora, through new Internet platforms, can exercise their right to participate in the country's political discourse and vote using the e-voting model. The findings indicate that though it can be done, it is not...

The IoT ecosystem is expected to see considerable improvements in connectivity, speed, and capacity with the introduction of 5G networks. The potential advantages and difficulties of integrating 5G technology into the IoT landscape are discussed in this study, along with how it might change several industries in developing nations. This research also highlights how 5G technology might boost IoT capabilities through higher device densities, lower latency, and faster data transmission rates. Additionally, it looks into the particular ramifications for enterprises in underdeveloped countries, taking into account the difficulties with infrastructure, affordability, and the digital divide that these countries confront. It also discusses the potential hazards and obstacles to the deployment of 5G, such as the requirement for suitable legal frame...

The research findings also give credence suggesting Zimbabwe has sufficient infrastructure to implement e-voting methods as a trial in selected local government elections.

It is possible to address the problems of resource depletion and biodiversity loss by using ICT in many elements of environmental conservation, such as monitoring, data collection, and public awareness. However, it's crucial to consider the unexpected repercussions that could result from the broad use of ICT in this setting. In order to promote sustainable natural resource management and conservation, this study will examine any unintended implications of ICT. The study also identifies and examines four important areas of concern, including digital divide, data privacy and security, e-waste management, and ecological footprint, based on pertinent research and case examples. The research seeks to educate policymakers, practitioners, and academics about the importance of using ICT in environmentally conscious ways by emphasi...

It explored the obstacles and suggests how small economies can address these challenges posed by global digital firms that leverage the nature of their service and technology to evade tax. Qualitative research methods were applied with the use of key informant interviews and secondary data collection from relevant literature and reports. Five key informants purposefully selected from Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) were interviewed. The paper also classifies the nature of services provided by different digital economies. It highlights the challenges being faced by small economies such as the shift in the global business models, tax concept and evasion, international tax regulations, and lack of capacities thereof. The findings indicate how small economies are being taken advantage of by digital giant firms through operating in their jurisdictions, capitalizin...

It highlights the challenges being faced by small economies such as the shift in the global business models, tax concept and evasion, international tax regulations, and lack of capacities thereof. The findings indicate how small economies are being taken advantage of by digital giant firms through operating in their jurisdictions, capitalizing on profits, and circumventing tax payments due to non legally binding instruments that compel global firms to comply. Tax evasion by these firms leads to the shrinking of the small economies' tax base. A possible solution to this tax deceitfulness is the adoption of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development(OECD) Pillar One proposal to address and overhaul the current international tax regulations.

A geotextile was embedded between the crushed stone and ECC lining for some of the samples. After 28 days of water curing, the hardened surfaces were loaded and monitored for roughness and crack development by measuring surface levels and crack widths, respectively. Neither cracking nor significant variations in the lateral profiles were observed on all the samples for all the loads applied. However, significant variations which depended on the foundation types were observed in the vertical profiles. It was concluded that while ECC can resist cracking due to its high strain capacity, its flexibility causes ECC linings to assume the shape of the foundation material, which can increase the surface roughness at certain loading configurations.
