The conference “Photography as an art: Current trends in study and the history of national schools" covers three main areas: - the study of photography as a medium and the scope of its realization as an art; - the methods and practices for writing national photography histories; - the teaching of photography, its history and technology, within art education and the study of photography in the educational context of the humanities. The aim of this meeting of experts is to define the current state of theory and research in the field, and also to create a foundation for future scholarship and study.
