The study’s population consisted of employees from four different construction enterprises in Edo State to meet the objectives. Yamane’s (1967) algorithm was used to generate a sample size of about 302 from the whole population, of which 261 were received but only 251 were legitimate, while 10 were rejected. A structured questionnaire that has undergone a reliability test was used to obtain the necessary information from the respondents. Descriptive statistics and regression analysis were used to assess the information gathered from the respondents. The study discovered that the ideal workplace democracy feature that existed among the workforce of chosen construction enterprises in Edo State was justice. It also revealed that the workplace democracy characteristics of participation-criticism, transparency, and equality are negatively associated with employee ...

The lack of financial protection tools and insufficient levels of financial market development leaves African nations exposed to such harmful consequences of rates of exchange volatility. This study attempted to investigate the impact of exchange rate movements on the volume of reserves held by African countries struggling to maintain enough earnings to warrant floating their currency against the dollar. The non-linear autoregressive distributed lag (NARDL) of Shin et al. (2014) filters movements in exchange rates into the negative and positive partial sum, respectively. We found that devaluation weakens reserve volume in Morocco, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Malawi and Mauritius. Exchange rate appreciation significantly decreases Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, and Mauritius reserves. The magnitude of exchange rate devaluation, 0.94, 0.85, and 0.91 in...

The main goal was to present the best practices used by international oil companies in resolving conflicts with local residents (Odularu, 2008). The survey research design was used to collect data from 115 respondents. It includes senior and junior public relations workers. Because the sample was small, the total population was utilised, although 102 questionnaires were obtained from the 13 foreign oil companies actively seeking oil in the host regions. The data were analysed using mean, standard deviation, ANOVA, and regression using SPSS version 22. The study indicated that foreign oil companies often use compromise to resolve disagreements with host communities in the Niger Delta. The essential connection that international oil companies have with oil-producing communities in the region is unfavourable, as is the use of compromise tactic...

Cross-border business has created challenges and opportunities for rising and emerging economies. Globacom Nigeria Limited has always looked beyond national borders for opportunities. Due to product demand, the company seeks new changes and faces overseas competition. In undeveloped countries, there are few quantitative studies on the relationship between networking and profitability. The study is survey-based. This training involved 24,400 employees (Globacom, 2017, as cited in Odiwo, 2018). Using Freund and Williams’ (1977, as cited in Godden, 2004) sample size determination (Cochran’s formula), 243 questionnaires and oral interviews were employed to collect data. A test-and-retest sampling strategy was employed to determine the association between variables. Networking increased the profitability of Nigerian communication enterprises (R = 0.99, P = 0.000).
