The crystallite structures of samples were refined using the Rietveld refinement method. The results show that the Ni2+ ions are all soluble in BT lattice with the given concentration, which induces the decrease of tetragonality. The dielectric and ferroelectric properties of samples were systemically investigated. With the doping of Ni2+ ions, BT–Ni shows a diffuse phase transition behavior. Both of the dielectric and ferroelectric properties of BT–Ni are decreased compared with those of BT. The mechanism was also discussed.

Prognostic value and correlation with other clinicopathologic factors were evaluated in two classifications.ResultsThe expression of PIWIL1-4 was significantly higher in tumor tissue than that in adjacent tissue; A significant correlation was observed between the higher expression of PIWI protein with the T stage, lymph node metastasis and clinical TNM (cTNM); Survival analysis by Kaplan-Meier survival curve and log-rank test demonstrated that elevated PIWIL1 and PIWIL2 expression in cancer tissue predicted poorer overall survival (OS) compared with group in lower expression (36.5% VS 67.6%; 37.4% VS 54.2%; respectively). Notably, multivariate analyses by Cox’s proportional hazard model revealed that expression of PIWIL1 was an independent prognostic factor in gastric cancer.ConclusionsThe PIWI subfamily protein is an absolutely key molecular factor along with the tumor occurrence and development. And the PIWI protein could act as a potential biomarker for prognosis evaluation of gastric cancer.

Their structures were characterized by single-crystal and powder X-ray diffractions. In these compounds, four coordination sites of each octahedrally coordinated Mn(II) ion are chelated by two dpt24 ligands in the trans and/or cis configurations. While the two remaining coordination sites are occupied by solvent molecules in 1 and 2, they are occupied by pyridyl nitrogens from neighboring Mn(dpt24)(2) units in 3, forming 4-connected 2D (4,4) networks. The Mn(II) ions in both 3a and 3b are uniquely chelated by dpt24 in the trans or cis configurations, respectively, but Mn(dpt24)(2) in 3c possesses both the trans and cis configurations. The packing fashions of these (4,4) layers in the three isomers of 3 are also different, in which 3a has a close packing structure, while 3b exhibits unique one-dimensional (1D) channels and 3c exhibits two distinct types of 1D channels. As revealed by powder X-ray diffractions, crystals of 1 and 2 can reversibly transform to each other when in contact with the corresponding solvent vapor (H(2)O/MeOH). The gas and vapor sorption studies for porous 3b revealed interesting sorption behaviors. Nitrogen adsorption for 3b was observed at 195 K rather than 77 K, demonstrating the temperature-controlled framework flexibility. It also exhibited high selectivity and storage capacity for carbon dioxide over methane and nitrogen at room temperature. Moreover, 3b also demonstrated potential to separate organic chemicals with similar boiling points, such as benzene and cyclohexane, via pressure swing adsorption process.

The model, Astragaloside and Perindopril groups were infected with CVB3. Meanwhile, the Astragaloside and the Perindopril groups were treated with Astragaloside (10 μg/ml) and Perindopril (1.3 μg/ml) respectively. Cytopathic effect (CPE), cardiac troponin I (cTnI), the SERCA activity and mRNA level of the SERCA type 2 were observed after 96 hours. Results: The CPE and cTnI of model group were significantly higher than those of normal, Astragaloside and Perindopril groups (P< 0.01). The activity and the mRNA expression of myocardial SERCA of model group were significantly lower than those of normal, Astragaloside and Perindopril groups (P < 0.01-0.05). Compared with Astragaloside group, the CPE, cTnI of Perindopril group were higher and the activity and mRNA level of Perindopril group were lower. But there were no significant difference between the two groups (P >0.05).Conclusion: Astragaloside and Perindopril were able to reverse the down-regulations of cardiac SERCA activity and mRNA expression caused by virus infection to alleviate the cardiomyocyte injury.

Renovascular hypertension was induced by two kidney-one clip methods. Two months after the operation, cardiac hypertrophy was determined by histological analysis performed in some rats (2K1C-2M), then the rats were subdivided into 2 groups: (1) 3-month old two kidney-one clip group (2K1C-3M) with rats receiving 0.9% NaCl per day for one month, and (2) CsA-treated group with rats treated with CsA for one month. Sham-operated rats were used as control. The ratio of the left ventricular weight to tibial length (LVW/TL), the area of cardiac myocyte, mRNA and protein expression and the activity of calcineurin were determined. Both the LVW/TL and the cardiomyocyte area were significantly larger in 2K1C-2M and 2K1C-3M rats than in age-matched sham-operated rats. Treatment with CsA significantly attenuated the increase in the LVW/TL as well as the cardiomyocyte area. The mRNA, protein expression and the activity of calcineurin were significantly higher in 2K1C-2M and 2K1C-3M rats than those in the age-matched sham-operated rats, while the elevation of mRNA, protein expression and activity of calcineurin were significantly suppressed in the CsA-treated rats. In conclusion, calcineurin plays a role in the progression of cardiac hypertrophy in renovascular hypertensive rats. The inhibition of calcineurin can reverse cardiac hypertrophy.
