Express your thoughts on this: "Teacher is a highly promising technology". Technologies are part of our daily life; contributory to one's needs and play an important role most especially for innovations of the new aspect of instructional materials in the teaching-learning process. It makes teaching easier and more engaging. It plays a supporting role in the teaching-learning process for both teachers and learners in the school. However, in reality, most remote areas specifically in some municipalities of South Cotabato like in T'boli and Lake Sebu, there are public schools that don't have televisions, DLPs, cable and internet connection in the classrooms. The challenge for a teacher is how he or she can pull off his or her teaching with the absence of such technologies. Therefore, a teacher should be able to teach with his acquired knowledge, experience, and teaching strategies even without the use of modern technology in teaching. A teacher may use drawings and illustrations, role-playing and any other strategies in the teaching-learning process. What is more important is how a teacher delivers, explains, and demonstrates his lesson so he may be able to meet the objectives at the end of each class. Teachers are indeed highly promising technology. We are the one who teaches and touches the lives of our learners. Technology is nothing without us. We are the ones who get the learner's heart in the classroom. I know that being a teacher is not easy because you exert effort and time but it is our responsibility to teach and support every learner in the classroom. The best gift to the teachers is seeing their students become successful and at the same time, they enjoy learning. The best way for a teacher to become a highly effective "technology" is to equip himself with the right knowledge in his chosen profession. After all, no technology, modern and old can ever replace a good and competitive teacher.
