The present investigation was intended to ascertain the relationship between self-efficacy and life satisfaction among adults (males and females). The present study was conducted to study the relationship between self-efficacy and life satisfaction and to study the influence of self-efficacy on life satisfaction. The study was conducted purposive sampling technique on adults (60 males and 60 females) in the age range of 25-35 years. The General Self Efficacy (GSE) scale developed by Jerusalem and Schwarzer (1992) and The Satisfaction With Life (SWLS) created by Ed Diener (1985), were used for data collection. The results revealed that there is a significant relationship between self efficacy and life satisfaction. It also indicated that self efficacy has significant influence on life satisfaction.

The experiments were conducted using batch mode adsorption system. The kinetics and the isotherm studies were analyzed by varying the experimental parameters such as initial dye concentration, pH, and contact time. The correlation coefficients (R 2) were used to determine the best fitting kinetic and isotherm models. Thermodynamic parameters were also calculated. It was found that the polypyrrole chemically coated on sawdust is an efficient system for the removal of DG6 and RO16 from aqueous solutions and also found that the percentage removal of Reactive Orange 16 dye is high when compared with Direct Green 6 dye.

In this paper, we propose a novel shape based object detection technique using Contours Models. In this paper controlled pressure forces are used as level set function, which decides the boundary detection of the objects or shapes present in the images. These pressure forces are responsible for the direction of the evolution of the region. In this framework, we combine detection and extraction with high precision and efficiency. Contour based shape detection techniques are quick and compact when compared to the region based techniques .The proposed system shares all advantages of the C–V, ACM and GAC models. Flood Fill algorithm is further used to retrieve the object after successful detection of the shapes presents in the image. In addition, the computer simulation results show that the proposed system could address various shapes within an image and its extraction with highest order of efficiency. The major contribution of this paper is the implementation of weighted intensities of pressure forces with a novel level set function instead of average intensities. The contour based methods developed are found to be sensitive to distortions, noise and variations in scale.

It focuses on performance comparison of ShAPF and UPQC under Sinusoidal Current Control (SCC) Strategy. SCC ensures sinusoidal current to be drawn from supply system even the presence of non-linear loads. The harmonic power is provided by the Shunt Controller of UPQC, to restrict the harmonic components to be pulled at the supply, where as the series component is able to balance the voltage related problems such as unbalancing. The UPQC deals with the load harmonic power and the zero sequence power as well resulting to imbalance in the power system, additionally compensating the reactive power, so that the source voltage and the compensated current both will be in phase.

High frequency components are combined using absolute values of coefficients and low frequency components are merged using SR based fusion approach. The resultant fused image is obtained by applying inverse Transforms. The field of power electronics can be defined to be dedicated to the development of devices that ... more The field of power electronics can be defined to be dedicated to the development of devices that convert one type of power to another. There are four type of power conversions: AC-AC, DC-AC, AC-DC and DC-DC. An inverter circuit is used to convert to DC-AC at desired output voltage and frequency. This conversion can be achieved by transistors, SCRs, MOSFETs, and IGBTs. For low and medium power outputs transistorized inverters are suitable, but for high power outputs SCR's use is advisable. One of the biggest problems in power quality aspects is the harmonic contents in the electrical systems. Generally, harmonics are of two types: [51], [65], [70], 1) Voltage harmonics. 2) Current harmonics. Current harmonics are usually generated by harmonics contained in voltage supply and depend on the type of load such as resistive, capacitive and inductive load. Both harmonics can be generated by either the source or the load side. Harmonics generated by load are caused by nonlinear operation of devices, including power converters, arc-furnaces, gas discharge lighting devices etc. Load harmonics can cause the overheating of the magnetic cores of transformer and motors. On the other hand, source harmonics are mainly generated by power supply with non-sinusoidal voltage waveform. Voltage and current source harmonics imply power losses, electromagnetic interference (EMI) and pulsating torque in AC motor drives.[2], [28],[93] Multilevel inverters have been attracting in favor of researchers, academia as well as industry in the recent decade for high-power and medium-voltage energy control. In addition, they can synthesize switched waveforms with lower levels of harmonic distortion than an equivalently rated two-level converter. The multilevel concept is used to decrease the harmonic distortion in the output waveform without decreasing the inverter power output. This paper presents the most important topologies like diode-clamped inverter (neutral-point clamped), capacitor-clamped (flying capacitor), and cascaded multilevel with separate dc sources. This paper also presents the most relevant modulation methods developed for this family of converters: multilevel sinusoidal pulse-width modulation, multilevel selective harmonic elimination, and space-vector modulation.[86] Authors strongly believe that this survey article will be very much useful to the researchers for finding out the relevant references in the field of topologies and modulation strategies of multilevel inverter. To summarize many multilevel converter topologies proposed during last decade have been reviewed. Keywords: Diode Clamped Inverter, Capacitor Clamped Inverter, Cascade H-Bridge Inverter, and Sliding Mode Control Technique.

In this paper UPQC is realized using Matlab/Simulink tool and it is tested for varying load condition and single line to ground fault. Comparison of voltage and current level in different operating condition is done along with the comparison of Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) level with and without UPQC compensation is presented. It is seen that UPQC is effective in compensating current, harmonics, reactive power and improving the power quality of the distribution system.

One of the main factors in producing this high quality, low cost and functional product is the machinability factor. Work on the machinability of materials has been continuing with great acceleration in recent years. As a matter of fact, these studies provide not only the machinability but also the development of tool life and surface quality, and the formation of new material types. For this purpose, Korkut et al. (2004) studied AISI 304 stainless steels at different cutting speeds at constant cutting depth. At the end of the study, the increase of the cutting speed to a certain value causes the decrease of tool wear; but the increase in cutting speed after a certain value has increased the tool wear. (Korkut, Kasap et al., 2004) .Bh et al., in their work, have investigated the workability of AISI D3 hardened steel materials. The work was carried out using ceramic cutting tool without using cooling liquid. The effects of cutting parameters such as cutting speed, feed rate and cutting depth on tool wear and surface roughness were investigated. Three different cutting speeds, 3 different cutting depths and 3 different feed rates were used in the study, and the most important parameter on tool wear was cut depth (Varaprasad.Bh, Rao.Ch et al.) Wagh S.S. et al. have examined the machinability of AISI 304 stainless steels in their work. PVD plated carbide tool was used in the study. The cutting force and surface roughness and cutting temperature obtained during operation are measured. It has been determined that cutting force and surface roughness increase with the increase in working rate (Wagh, Kulkarni et al., 2013). Xavior M. Coconut oil has been reported to provide more surface roughness and less tool wear than the other two cooling fluids used (Xavior and Adithan 2009). Debnath S. et al.have investigated the effects of different grades of cooling fluid and cutting parameters on surface roughness and tool wear. The study was carried out with a TiCN + Al2O3 + TiN plated tool on a CNC lathe using mild steel. It is stated that the parametres affecting the surface roughness are the rate of advancement and the most effective parameters in tool wear are cutting speed and cutting depth. It has been reported Abstract— In this work using AISI 304 non-corroding steel, the determination of the optimum cutting speeds from the machining parameters for cutting force, surface roughness, tool life and tool wear has been investigated. Different blocks in Shared data are generally signed by different users due to data modifications performed by different users.
