Hence, this study examined the relationship between organisational learning and employee engagement. The study also investigated the extent to which supervisory innovative support moderates organisational learning and the effectiveness of employee engagement. Five hundred forty-one (541) participants were surveyed using stratified and purposive sampling methods to make up the sample size. To be more precise, Smart Partial Least Square (PLS 3.0) was used to analyse the relationship between the study’s variables. The role of entrepreneurial competencies in enhancing the performance of SMEs, especially in the ... more The role of entrepreneurial competencies in enhancing the performance of SMEs, especially in the agro-based industry of developing economies such as Nigeria has not been discussed extensively in extant literature. Therefore, this research is focused on examining the role of entrepreneurial competencies in enhancing the performance of agro-based SMEs. The study used 232 copies of questionnaires that were administered to agro-based business owners and managers in Lagos State as the data gathered instrument. Data analysis was carried out using regression analysis to show relationships between the variables. At different levels, the findings revealed that entrepreneurial competencies relates with the firms’ profitability, customer base, organisational effectiveness, and sales growth. Therefore, the study recommended that entrepreneurial firms should consciously develop the ability of being sensitive to the environment and the ability to recognize opportunities in the market place.

Hence, creativity is a philosophy and principle that should be adopted by every organization that desire success and creative engagement on the part of employees. This study critically examined the role of creative culture of an organization in influencing employee creative engagement. To achieve this objective, a total of 89 staff drawn from the academic and non-academic staff of Covenant University in Ogun State, Nigeria, was sampled. The data collected were analysed using regression analysis. The result showed that creative culture has positive significant effect on employee creative engagement. Based on the findings of the study, the implication for management of organizations is that there is a need to ensure that a creative culture is incorporated and embedded as an organizational policy geared towards fostering employee creative engagement.

The study adopted the survey research design in collecting data from three public universities that were chosen from three states to represent Southwest Nigeria namely: Oyo, Lagos and Ogun. The contiguity of the three States is another factor of convenience and reach which supported the selection of the States. Survey research design was adopted to assess the subject matter. Five hundred and forty-one hundred (541) respondents were surveyed across all the selected pharmaceutical companies in Nigeria with the usage of purposive and stratified sampling technique. Only four hundred and thirty-four (434) copies of questionnaire representing (80.2%) response rate was correctly filled, returned and analysed for this study. Structural Equation Model (AMOS 23) was adopted for the analysis of the effect of normative learning on employee cognitive engagement and efficacy of employee engagement to work and job task. The results from the test of hypotheses showed that normative learning significantly influence employee cognitive engagement (R2= 0.840 p-value = 0.000).
