At 50 days after BLI, the mean population density of K laccaper varied from 44.95 to 50.28 in different treatments. There was significant difference in the mean population density of Lac insect in T3, T5 and T8 over T6. The former three were at par with each other. It was highest (50.28) in T3 Multiplex and lowest (44.95) in T6 Humic acid + Bolt acid + Bolt. At 62 days after BLI, the mean population density of Lac insect varied from 37.05 to 39.34 in different treatments but was at par among the treatments. It was highest (39.34) in T3 -Multiplex and lowest (37.05) in T2-Auskelp super. The mean population density of lac insects reduced at 76 days after BLI and it varied from 28.37 to 33.46. At 94 days after the BLI, the mean population density of lac also reduced in comparison to t...

Millsp. was conducted on the research field of Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh of India following randomized block design during 2019-20 and 2020-21. After harvest of C. cajan seeds and lac as cash crops, the left-over wood of C. cajan was evaluated for fuelwood (as an energy stove) for the small and marginal farm households. The mean dry weight of total fuelwood (including shoot+root) varied from 1196.67 to 1393.67 g plant-1 in pooled data. The estimated mean weight of total fuelwood (root+shoot) of C. cajan varied from 1447.98 to 1686.34 kg ha-1 in pooled mean of both the years. The value of total (shoot+root) dry fuelwood per plant varied from Rs. 7,239.85 to Rs. 8,431.70 in pooled mean of both the years. This total fuelwood can fulfill daily household requirement of fuelwood upto 3 years (891 to 1037 days) @ 4.06 kg day-1 household-1.

Only recently some workers have shown interest to work out the diversity of certain groups of animals. In this context, present paper reports three species of Hemiptera belonging to three genera and three different subfamilies. The three species are Leptocorisa varicornis, Riptortus fuscus and Lethocerus indicus. All the three species are reported for the first time from the Park.

In the district lac production is carried on both Butea monosperma and Zizyphus mauritiana plants. The lac productivity is low due to no nutrient management of these host trees. The study impact of nutrient management of Z. mauritiana on the yield of Kusmi lac was conducted in Dhapara village, Barghat Block, Seoni District, MP from May 2013 to February 2014. The trial consisted on forty eight Z. mauritiana plants with four treatments (basal application of Urea- T 1 , Urea and SSP-T 2 , Urea, SSP and MOP- T 3 , and control- T 4 ) and six replications. The results revealed that the mean weight of 100 fresh cells of lac at harvest as well as the dry cell weight increased significantly in nutrient treated Z. mauritiana plants as compared to the control. The highest increase in the mean fresh weight of 100 cells over the control in was T 3 (30.61%) followed by T 1 (17.26%) and T 2 (12.21%). ...

Majority of them are resource poor and practice rainfed farming. The returns from their fragmented farmland are usually insufficient to meet the household demands. In such a situation Jawahar Model is a low input approach for doubling their income.
