Background: The targeted academic institutions have introduced many new online services aimed at improving students’ access to information and services, including a new online library, ERP or online forum, and the jobs-tracking system (JTS). This research is focused only on the JTS for two reasons. First, it is one of the most crucial systems for the Daffodil Family, as it enables efficient working across many institutes spread across the country and abroad. Second, it is employed in a wide variety of organisational institutes, not just the university. This study aims to discover negative factors that lead to a decrease in users’ intentions to continue using the system. The ultimate goal is to improve the motivation among administrative staff to us...

It is observed that ErPdBi satisfies the Born stability criteria nicely and possesses high quality of machinability. The anisotropic behavior of ErPdBi is reported with the help of theoretical anisotropy indices incorporating 3D graphical presentation, which suggests that ErPdBi is highly anisotropic in nature. It is noticed that the minimum thermal conductivity is very low for ErPdBi compared to the several species. This low value of minimum thermal conductivity introduces the potentiality of ErPdBi in high-temperature applications such as thermal barrier coatings. In addition, deep optical insights of ErPdBi reveal that our material can be used in different optoelectronic and electronic device applications ranging from organic light-emitting diodes, solar panel efficiency, waveguides etc. to integration of integrated circuits. The...

The current study investigated the health conditions, and the extent and pattern of cattle injuries, along with haemato-biochemical and hormonal changes, before and after long-distance transportation (≈648 km) from the market of origin to the market of destination. A total of 100 adult cattle were selected at the Benapole live cattle market, Bangladesh, for physical examination before and after transportation. Fifty of these cattle were randomly selected for additional haemato-biochemical evaluation just before the start of transportation (0 hour), immediately after arrival at the destination market (13.8±0.9 hours after the start of transportation) and 24 hours after arrival at the destination market. The external health conditions and injuries were assessed. Animals were fasting in the vehicle during transportation and provided only with paddy straw and water before sale at the de...

In this connection an important step was taken with the Wood's dispatch in 1854 which included the proposal for the establishment of a university in Calcutta a as well as in Bombay and Madras. The aims and objects of the proposed, university in Calcutta would be as follows:The rapid spread of a liberal education among the natives of India since the time, the high attainments shown by the native candidates for government scholarships, and by native students in private institutions, the success of Medical Colleges and the requirement of an increasing European, and Anglo-Indian population, have led us to the calculation that the time is now arrived for the establishment of universities in India, which may encourage a regular and liberal course of education, by conferring academic degrees as evidences of attainments in the different branches of arts and science and by adding marks of honour for those who may desire to compete for honourary distinction....The examination for degrees will not include any subjects connected with religious belief; and the affiliated institutions will be under the management of persons of every variety of religious persuasion... We should refuse to sanction any teaching as directly opposed to the principle of religious neutrality to which we have always adhered.1Thus the University of Calcutta, one of the oldest Universities of India, was established. It was founded in 1857 along with the Bombay and Madras Universities. It was more prestigious and outstanding than any of the two others. The higher education of Bengal, Central Province (CP), Uttar Pradesh (UP) and part of Burma and Ceylon was under its jurisdiction. It was started as an affiliating and examining body with a nominated Vice-Chancellor who was to act upon the advice and consent of a Senate and a Syndicated Lord Curzon's University act of 1904, reduced the jurisdiction of the Calcutta University over Burma and Ceylon, but assigned the University with the function of teaching post-graduate classes. It was also empowered to appoint the teaching staff for academic activities. During the Vice-Chancellorship of Sir Asutosh Mukherjee (1906-1914) teaching function of the university was set in motion.3Apparently the chief objective of establishing the Calcutta University was to impart liberal and secular education among the natives of northern India. But the Muslims of Bengal, in the first half of the 20th century, objected time and again that the Calcutta University authorities had not been following the fundamental spirit of its original principles. Their main objections as alleged, were against Hindu domination, Hindu oriented curricula, discrimination in matters of appointment of qualified Muslims to different teaching and administrative posts, lack of Muslim representation in different statutory bodies of the University and so on and so forth.4 Attempts have been made in this paper to analyse those allegations as objectively as possible.During the few decades of the establishment of the University the Bengal Muslims did not show any interest in the affairs of the University for socio-economic reasons. Later on, particularly during the eighties of the 19th century their interests in the matters became more and more apparent and they came forward with a zeal for education. But their enthusiasm met with resistance in various manners. A contemporary Muslim intellectual Muhammad Waliullah (1904-1978) gave an account of the plight of the Muslims in his autobiography Yuga Bicilra, which can be treated as a reliable evidence. He said that when the Muslims began to enter the University after shaking of their prejudices against English education, they discovered themselves to be untouchables. They found all the doors of employment closed to them, and the syllabus was biased against their religion. …

The most common signs and symp-toms of asthma are cough, breathlessness, wheeze, chest tightness and respiratory rate. They cannot be measured ac-curately since they consist of various types of uncertainty such as vagueness, imprecision, randomness, ignorance and in-completeness. Consequently, traditional disease diagnosis, which is performed by a physician, cannot deliver accurate results. Therefore, this paper presents the design, develop-ment and application of a decision support system for as-sessing asthma under conditions of uncertainty. The Belief Rule-Based Inference Methodology Using the Evidential Rea-soning (RIMER) approach was adopted to develop this expert system, which is named the Belief Rule-Based Expert System (BRBES). The system can handle various types of uncertainty in knowledge representation and inference procedures. The knowledge base of this system was constructed by using re...

In this paper, an encryption mechanism is presented which is the combination of cryptography and steganography technology. On the proposed system cryptography algorithm is chosen for encrypt plaintext by applying mathematical function. On the other hand steganographic algorithm is used for hiding the encrypted data into an image that no one can see the secret information. LSB (Least Significant Bit) method is used on the steganography part for hiding information into an image. Four keys are needed for decryption the information.
