Dr. Satish Pandey is currently working with School of Petroleum Management (SPM), Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU), Gandhinagar as Associate Professor in Organizational Behaviour & HRM area, since August 2007. He has done Ph.D. in Psychology from Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar (Uttarakhand) in 1995. Prior to joining SPM, he has worked with reputed institutions like Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad (MICA), Nirma Institute of Management- Ahmedabad , Institute of Banking Personnel Selection-Mumbai (IBPS) and BITS-Pilani. In his two decades’ academic journey, he has presented papers in national and international academic conferences; and published papers in refereed journals and edited books on topics related to stress management, personality, organizational culture, cross-cultural management, organizational turnaround, organizational learning, behaviour change communication and films in management classroom. His book “Stress and Work: Perspectives on Understanding & Managing Stress” (Co-editor: D. M. Pestonjee, Sage India, 2013) has received good reviews in journals Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences and Human Resource Development International. He has been reviewer to academic journals European Journal of Training & Development (Emerald), IIMB Management Review (Elsevier), Journal of Creative Communications (Sage), Asia Business & Management (Palgrave McMillan), Human Resource Development International (Taylor & Francis), International Journal of Training & Development (Wiley) and Editorial Board Member of International Journal of Stress Management (APA, 2016-18). He is currently serving as Editorial Board Member to the journals- Human Resource Development Review (Sage), European Journal of Training & Development (Emerald), International Journal of Training & Development (Wiley) and New Horizons Journal of Adult Education & HRD (Wiley). He is also a member of Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD, USA), Indian Academy of Management (IAM) and Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA). He has also received “Journal of European Industrial Training Highly Commending Paper Award" at UFHRD-AHRD Conference-2011 and “Emerald Literati Outstanding Reviewer Award for European Journal of Training & Development” for the year 2020.

Role of human behaviour in mitigating climate change, controlling Green House Gas (GHG) emissions... more Role of human behaviour in mitigating climate change, controlling Green House Gas (GHG) emissions, reducing carbon footprint leading to sustainable development, is at the centre of all policy discussions across the globe, thereby tailoring human behaviour is considered imperative by contemporary scholarship. This study attempts to understand the psycho-social interaction of individuals that promote such a human action. Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) framework has been used to predict human behaviour assuming human behaviour for energy conservation is one of the pro-social low-cost behaviour. Value orientation of individuals, energy conservation beliefs, subjective norms, perceived behaviour control, and energy conservation attitude have been measured to gauge the behavioural intention, along with capturing the socioeconomic realities pertaining to households and individuals therein. Awareness towards energy conservation efforts and social interaction are found to be key behaviour influencers, whereas energy conservation intent is found to be gender neutral. Study implies the underlying necessity to explore mediating and moderating models in order to decipher complex interplay among key variables for predicting energy conservation behaviour intent.
