Being an object-oriented technique, UML provides a vast set of diagrams, in order to represent the various abstractions of the system, of which the most used are the use-case diagram and the class diagram. Often, in the modelling of less complex systems, only these two diagrams are used, where one represents the functionalities of the system (use case diagram) and the other the static structure of the system (class diagram). However, it is often difficult to make the connection between the two diagrams, and mainly, it is difficult to verify when one matches the other. In order to solve this problem, a matrix is proposed that links the two diagrams, using a case study to verify the utility of the matrix.

The present study explores the meaning and the importance of citizenship for the poor through a questionnaire answered by 515 users from 84 telecenters in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Using Principal Component Analysis (PCA), three dimesions with 31 indicators were obtained for citizenship and three dimensions with 33 indicators for digital citizenship. Assessed in the context of today's society, these dimensions proved to be complementary and inseparable for the effective exercise of citizenship. Thus, the results of this study contribute to the improvement of public policies for digital inclusion and prevention of poverty.

The emergence of these online platforms has changed the business dynamics, the restaurant sector was no exception. The main goal of this work is to understand how different factors impact the final review rating of a restaurant, using two Jamie Oliver restaurants as a case study. A model was applied that allows us to identify the such factors and their associated sentiment through text mining methods. Using this model, it was possible to understand which factors influence the rating the most. Results show that the factors most mentioned in the reviews were 'food' and 'service' and the least mentioned were 'atmosphere' and 'location'.

This study sought to extract latent information on theme park visitor perception and experience through sentiment analysis from user generated content. In general, satisfaction and sentiment differed between the eight theme parks, wherein the three theme parks with higher positive sentiment were Disney's Animal Kingdom, followed by Universal's Islands of Adventures, Discovery Cove and finally SeaWorld. Furthermore, it was found on the one hand that drivers of customer's satisfaction were associated with sentiments such as 'fun', 'great', 'lovely' and 'amazing', and on the other hand experience and services like 'rides', 'water', 'dolphins', 'experience' and 'show'. Those results are valuable to support theme park management to improve guest experiences and consequently achieve sustainable competitive advantage.

Since different studies highlight different results, this research aims to explore these differences by analyzing the perceptions of adults involved in playing a competitive digital game, in this case, FIFA, considering data that were collected during the COVID-19 pandemic period. The main question is ‘How do adults perceive anxiety, stress, and socialization when playing the FIFA digital game?’. The research comprises two studies involving volunteer participants: In the first part, which adopts a qualitative approach, the participants’ perceptions of what they think and feel when playing FIFA were analyzed and interpreted using text mining analysis. In the second, a quantitative study, FIFA users’ perceptions of the gaming experience were statistically analyzed. The results show that adult users tend to refer to positi...

This study was conducted with 295 professionals, among them managers and employees of hotels in Brazil and Portugal in order to validate a measuring instrument of organizational learning, properly adapted for hotel industry, and identify differences in the degree of efficiency of the organizational learning process between hotels of different categories, and between managers and employees. Initially a content validation with representatives of the hotel industry was made, then a confirmatory factor analysis was performed. As a result, we obtained a scale with 4 factors and 12 items, which was able to identify differences in the level of organizational learning between hotels and between managers and employees. There is evidence that the ability of individuals and groups to learn is encouraged, but is not being achieved in full in this industry, and that the most critical part of the process involves the dimension of creation and knowledge management in this industry.

The purpose of this study is to assess the satisfaction of the participants with the Facebook page, and how that satisfaction influences the dissemination of the organization through the word-of-mouth and the donations practices. In this context, a questionnaire was administered to 204 participants that were aware of the Portuguese non-profit organization " Leigos para o Desenvolvimento " (People for Development). The results show that the participants are satisfied with Facebook page of the organization, and that there is influence of satisfaction on the word-of-mouth and on the frequency and amount of donations. However, satisfaction with the Facebook, itself, does not appear crucial to the realization of donations, either in the present or in future as intended. The study focuses only on one organization and includes a sample that may not represent all the population extracts and so inhibit the generalization of the findings to other populations. The paper includes implications for the development of an effective use of the Facebook as a digital marketing tool that can contribute to the sustainability of non-profit organizations. The study confirms the importance of the Facebook as a digital marketing tool that can contribute to the sustainability of non-profit organizations.

Thus, this study aims to evaluate the impact of a recruitment application in Portugal. This application was developed to meet the needs of candidates and employers, and its evaluation is made in terms of quality-in-use by both parties, small and medium-sized companies in Portugal and potential job offers applicants. To achieve the results related to the defined objective, managers from six companies were interviewed, producing a qualitative evaluation of the application, accompanied by a survey to achieve its quantitative evaluation (3.36 in 4 points). Simultaneously, a quantitative study was carried out among the candidates for evaluation of the mobile application, 3.67 points out of 4 possible. Thus, it was verified that the application developed is suitable for candidates. However, despite the positive evaluation, recruiters point to improvements in the company module.

To this end, a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was performed, where two hundred and fifty-nine hotel industry professionals were rated. The presented results support a structure with three factors and eighteen items. It was concluded that the factor "job satisfaction" does not contribute to the formation of the Organizational Culture construct. It is understood that an appropriate Organizational Culture to the hospitality environment can make employees feel valued, which can impact job satisfaction, but job satisfaction cannot be considered part of the values shared by members of an organization.

In turn, business simulation games have shown their educational effectiveness in developing management skills crucial for African countries. However, its use is still incipient. Although they present different characteristics favourable to its implementation, for example: The African Continental Free Trade Area, the Digital Transformation Strategy Project for Africa (2020-2030) and The Pan-Africa Games Group, they also present singular characteristics such as the predominance of the informal sector, political instability and high corruption rates. These factors influence the design and adoption of a Pan-African Business Simulation Games Framework suitable for this specific context. This proposal aims to contribute a gaming framework to support collaborative development and appropriation by the end-users and MultiUser with content representative of their contextual diversity. The successful EVER project and Bootcamp created by the Mozambican firm ITIS, which adopted a lean startup methodology to add local content in Business Games, can serve as inspiration for the Pan African Business Simulations Games-PABSG.

Advances in information and communication technologies, especially online digital applications, p... more Advances in information and communication technologies, especially online digital applications, provide new experiences at a personal, community and even social level. To understand how digital technologies influence users' perceptions, what they value most and why they adopt them, conceptual models are developed-and tested-based on predicted causal relationships between latent dimensions, in each context. Digital games are used in the most diverse contexts and by all age groups. Given their relevance in terms of play, fun, or, eventually, in terms of learning or socialization, they have conquered a legion of fans. At the same time, and consequently, the characteristics of games, the role they play for users, and the influence they have on human behavior, are investigated by a growing number of authors, namely in topics, such as, cognition and learning, health and well-being, socialization, advantages, and disadvantages of its use. Digital games derive from the evolution of electronic games, incorporate new technologies and run-on game consoles, computers, cell phones, tablets, and other mobile devices. In this context, we emphasize the use of digital games in teaching and learning among adults. The main objective of this work was to find out what are the more important dimensions in previous studies that analyzed the use of digital games by adults, in the context of teaching and learning. To achieve this goal, we analyzed the most relevant articles that propose and evaluate technology acceptance models in this research topic and were published in the last fifteen years-according to predefined inclusion criteria. In this systematic review, we had selected forty-eight scientific papers (indexed), from which the abstracts and keywords were analyzed with textual content analysis techniques, using the Iramuteq 0.7 alpha 2 software-through Descending Hierarchical Classification (DHC), Similitude Analysis and Correspondence Factor Analysis (CFA). We considered the following inclusion criteria: articles published in journals or proceedings of international conferences (indexed by Scopus or WoS), between 2006 and 2021, that have at least one significant keyword (serious games, social games, mobile games, or computer games), and are focused on the use and acceptance of digital games among adults-so, only studies that explore technology acceptance models in adults' samples were considered. The results highlighted the dimensions that have been considered as most relevant in the use of digital games among adults, particularly in terms of teaching and learning. This is also an important contribution at an academic-scientific level, to propose a new conceptual model to explain the adoption of digital games among adults in a broader context-giving us suggestions for future work, such as the possibility of learning through socialization while using online digital games.

We obtained survey data for 378 Portuguese consumers and carried out a hierarchical cluster and a logit analysis to assess the buyers' profile, choice criteria and satisfaction. We found that the profile pattern influences the level of direct selling preference and satisfaction. The results led to identification of three specific clusters and confirmed the importance of the buyer's experience with this way of shopping. The interactive nature of direct selling renders the customer highly permeable to the salesperson's influence. These findings contribute to a better understanding and prediction of post-consumption behaviour.

Everything that relates to technologies, telecommunications and information systems, may give us benefits, facilitating and speeding up many tasks, in a convenient way. Here, we highlight the impact of the virtual worlds in children's lives and experiences, particularly, the role of computers in learning-as an essential tool that also facilitates interactivity between teachers and students. (The technological innovations can also be poorly used, due to ignorance or perversity, for instance, to disseminate misleading information or private images, online). We conducted an exploratory study, with a population of boys and girls, between 9 and 11 years old, attending the fourth year of schooling. We intended to verify the importance that children give to the computer in their personal, social and cognitive development-and how they use this technology, daily. The main goal was to identify the perceptions of children in relation to the importance of the computer in their learning, and in their lives. Most children said that can't live without the computer, emphasizing the help it gives them, mainly by the possibility to research on the internet, where they can learn, find help for their homework, and access (so often with no control) to information previously unknown. They also like to feel connected to friends. Children associate the use of computer with intelligence, because through it they can answer to questions and have access to information about everything happening on the world. Girls use the computer especially to perform research or homework, and to talk with friends, while boys use the computer mainly for entertainment and gaming (including online games). Children surf in the virtual worlds with ease and practical sense, searching for knowledge, emotions and experience. Yet, they run risks, especially in social networks (like Facebook).

However, over the past years there is evidence that some of the expected benefits have not been achieved. Among several causes, supplier’s low adherence to such platforms has been regarded as one. The focus of this work is in supplier adoption of e-Procurement. It will help to better address the issues actually faced by suppliers within e-Procurement. The authors have conducted a questionnaire-based survey to 721 Portuguese companies and performed an empirical analysis of the data. The findings from this work provide evidence that the supplier perceived indirect benefits and business partner pressures are most important to e-Procurement adoption while barriers have a negative impact on their adoption. The main critical success factors on e-Procurement adoption are also presented.

However, over the past years there is evidence that some of the expected benefits have not been achieved. Among several causes, supplier's low adherence to such platforms has been regarded as one. The focus of this research is in supplier adoption of e-Procurement. It will help to better address the issues actually faced by suppliers within e-Procurement.

a means of attracting investment, donations or loans to finance
projects, companies, organizations and causes. In equity
crowdfunding, the investor acquires a stake in a company or
project and is remunerated according to its success. This article
aims to demonstrate how Distribuited Ledger Technology
(Blockchain) can help mitigate some of the problems associated
with equity crowdfunding platforms or even add features and
capabilities, making them more appealing to fundraisers and
investors. Through the design and modeling of an equity
crowdfunding platform that uses a deconcentrated ledger to
record the transactions that took place there, with the capacity to
load and execute smart contracts, it was possible to verify that
blockchain technology can create value in this type of platform,
being able to mitigate or even solve some of the problems
associated with this type of crowdfunding.
Information Systems Architectures recommend carrying
out additional research on the support of Information
Systems Architectures to the organization´s businesses,
using models of reference frameworks. The subject is so
important mainly with regard to the support of the
architectural maturity model in National Organizations
for Official Statistics. However, this research has not yet
been carried out, which means that there is a gap in
relation to scientific knowledge. This project, therefore,
aims to conduct new research in order to build a new
framework to address this issue, and thus contribute to
knowledge. The design science research method was
selected for this research, as it is suitable for design, in
addition to its pragmatic and positivist character. Two
organizations producing official statistics from two
different countries (Portugal and Mozambique) were
selected for the empirical study and the validation of the
final result. The expectation is that the new framework
allows technological solutions to meet the requirements
of the organizations involved in the statistical production
process, generating compliance and alignment with its
strategic objectives and ensuring that Information
Technology takes the right actions to deliver benefits in
short time.
where technology predominates in the areas of health and offers
an extensive range of features that allows the population to better
monitor and control health and well-being. The new technologies
thus came to promote and encourage the practice of regular
physical activity, for all age groups, through the use of devices and
applications properly programmed to improve the individual's
physical condition, and to empower its user to acquire good and
lasting results. Smartwatches are a great example of devices that
promote physical activity, enhancing the fight against physical
inactivity, offering all the necessary tools for its development and
consequently allowing its user to achieve greater success, always
based on the preferences of its user. In order to modify and
dismantle the paradigms of gyms and fitness studio, smartwatches
have come to encourage its user to perform any type of physical
activity regardless of the environment that surrounds them. Thus
smartwatches, not only help in the implementation of a healthy
lifestyle, breaking the barriers built by sedentary behaviors, but
also seek to establish a healthy and lasting routine. This article
presents a study, with data collection through a questionnaire,
through which it was found that, despite society's sedentary
behaviors and resistance to the implementation of a healthy
lifestyle, the existing technology favors the use of devices that help
promote the user's physical activity.
models took place during the last half of 20th century. Despite the
longevity they are still used today, and the use was increasing in
the last years, reflecting its importance as valid tools to
understand the complexity of technology adoption phenomenon.
During the last twenty years, one of the areas in the field of
information technologies that re-emerged with a most advanced
development, was artificial intelligence. This study aims to
identify what is the state-of-the-art on adoption theories of
information technologies at individual level, and what challenges
comes from artificial intelligence that could stress the
conventional adoption theories. Finally, a new work is described
as a proposal to overcome these challenges.
