1. General
A water sterilizer is a device whith starilizes drinking water, and has
a filter. This device radiates efficiently ultraviolet rays of which wave
length is 253.7 nm, of which sterilizing action is extremely hard, and
steril.izes colitis, dysentery and typhoid oerms·underwater for a short time,
so that it makes sanitary water. ..

2. Features
1. Ultraviolet rays are efficiently radiated from the center of the
waterway, so it is econo.mical.
2. Even if the lamp break, its fragments don't mix into drinking water
because of indirect radiation.
3. Easy filter exchanging because of cartridge filter.

4. Inspection
1. Examine the source and change germicidal lamp or glow lamp when
germicidal lamp is not lighting.

5. Caution
1. Handle the germicidal lamp and special U.V. rays passing glass tube
(Quartz glass tube) in the sterilize container wh'en they will be cle·aned.
2. An inspection and a changing of the filter and opening of the flanges
must be done after closing input valve and drain.
3. Don't look at the lamp directly because U. V. rays is injurious to our
eyes. look at the lamp with wearing glasses or glass plate if the
lighting lamp will be looked at.
4. When the plumbing, you tighten FlANGE from both sides more carefully
so as not to hold by force. If you tighten it from one side only,
there is a crack in the main body and a possibility of a water leak.
5. You check (examine) a filter about every three months and wash it.
.ll
If the filter does not clean or little water from the outlet flow
after you had It installed, you wi II change old to new.

(( Deterioration And Machine Life of Low-voltage Breaker ))
The electric machine life is generally defined as follows: "the period until reliability and
safety in use cannot be maintained because of having less electrical and technical ability
due to various stress and deterioration as the years go by."
Even if within the range of life, deterioration or out of life may cause not only less react to
the change ofload intensity but also mechanical accident.. We'd like t.o ask you t.o update lor
preventing an accident beforehand and for improving the reliability of power feeding.
A low-voltage breaker has such functions as open-shut in circuit, over current , cut in
short-circuit current ,and cut in ground current.
The received factors while accomplishing these essential functions are as follows:
1.Electric factor
2. Mechanical factor
3. Thermal factor
4. Environmental factor received for long-period installation ,long use
These factors make low-voltage breaker deteriorate and exhaust the life. The open-shut
longevity of breaker cannot be depended on the used year alone. It depends on the size of
energizing current ,the open-shut current ,the environment and the situation in use.
Appropriate treatment should be done especially in a ship where is used under a hard
condition.
The content of troubles which can be forecaster due to deteriorated factor or deteriorated
phenomenon in low-voltage are shown to page 2/6,3/6. If these troubles are recognized, the
machine can be judged dead clearly. Even though the functions seem normally when you
don't use it for fill ratings ,there is a case that the basic performance might has been already
dead.
When you continue to use the dead low-voltage breakar,
1. Incapability of open-shut with abnormal rising temperature
2. Load equipment scorched
3. Power failure by sudden trip
4. Expansion of accident by over current clue to inoperative removing
device
5. Incapability to operate
such serious troubles may happen.

(( Deterioration and Machine Life of Fuse for wiring and
I
electrolysis Condenser ))
Be sure to repair set-up electric devices when necessary, not only daily check or regular
check, to maintain the normal condition. When the measure is taken only in troubles, the
machine life might be shorten as well as decreasing the machine ability.
(2] Condenser
The declining operation rate due to breakdown can be avoided by taking suitable regular
maintenance as well as fuse.
(1) Caution
1. Please do not touch the condenser terminal directly.
2. Please do not be short- circuited by the conductor between the condenser
terminals.
3. Terminals may be broken or hurt the connection part of inside element when
strong power is added to the terminals or lead line.
4. Please do not use in a place where moisture and oil exist.
5. Please do not use in a place where ozone, ultraviolet ray, and radiation are
irradiated.
6. Please do not use in a place where such poisonous gas as sulfuretted hydrogen,
sub-sulfuric acid ,sub-nitric acid ,chlorine, and ammonia permeate.
7. Please do not use in a place where excessive vibration or impact exist.

(2) Maintenance Check
Please turn off the power supply and discharge saved electricity in condenser when you do
the maintenance check. Please confirm the polarity when you use a tester beforehand. In
addition ,please do not stress to the lead terminal line at this time.
Please confirm the specification of condenser and do an appropriate treatment like the
exchange when abnormality is recognized.

4. [Excercise caution during maintenance and inspection]
Please take the following precautions to prevent electrical shock, burns, overheating, and
fire.
o Maintenance and inspection should only be done after the power source has been cut and
the equipment has been cooled thoroughly to about room temperature.
o Remove trash, dust, drops of water from around the equipment.
o After the insulation resistance is measured, before touching the terminal, make sure that
the measured, before touching the terminal, make sure that the measured terminal is
momentarily grounded, and once the electric charge has been removed, perform the
inspection.
o Prior to resuming operation, make sure that no tools have been forgotten in the area, that
there are no loose screws, bolts or nuts, check for short circuiting and confirm safety of
equipment.
o When inspecting and doing maintenance of the equipment's inner parts always be sure to
wear insulated gloves.
o Be careful not to jam fingers when opening and closing the door.
o Sudden closing of the door, due to rolling and pitching, during inspection of the
equipment's inner parts has been known to occur. Please exercise caution.
o Always use the proper tools when exchanging or inspecting parts (fuses, lamps, etc.)
o Periodically confirm that no nuts, bolts, screws or other tightening parts have become
loose.
o Alterations and repairs are only to be performed by the person who delivered the
equipment.
