Martino Doimo
Current Position: Associate Professor of Architectural Design at IUAV University Venice, Department of Architecture and Arts. In 2014 he obtained the Italian National Scientific Habilitation (ASN) as Associate Professor of Architectural Design (first round, 2012). Previous Position: Assistant Professor of Architectural Design at IUAV University Venice, Department of Architecture and Arts (previously Department of Architecture, Construction and Conservation), after teaching as Adjunct Professor at IUAV University, Faculty of Architecture since 2004. In 2000 he obtained the Ph.D. in Architectural Composition at IUAV University Venice, School of Doctorate Studies. Martino Doimo’s research interests focus on the topic of the relationship between elements of construction and composition in modern and contemporary architecture, with particular regard to the different forms of space and of tectonic expression. He published several articles and books, among which: Arte muraria, Spazio, Tettonica: Mies, Bacardi Building Cuba. Elementi della costruzione/figure della composizione, Canova 2009.
