A new approach utilizing thermal fluctuations to investigate the spin dynamics of quantum magnets is introduced. It successfully identifies the spin Hamiltonian of a quantum antiferromagnet and elucidates the temperature-induced dissipation of quantum spin dynamics, which are challenging to assess using conventional spin-wave theories.

Two preasymptotic space-filling curves can lead to Moiré patterns when shifted or twisted against each other. If the curves are taken to be electric conductors, inductive coupling shows local extrema at the Moiré points, and zero coupling is possible, too.

The incommensurate magnetic spin textures within centrosymmetric single-crystal EuGa2.4Al1.6 are studied using resonant elastic x-ray scattering with full linear polarization analysis under no applied magnetic field. The findings unambiguously demonstrate a transition from a transverse spin density wave into a noncollinear elliptically modulated helical ground state with a large coexistence regime.

Recent experiments revealing magnetic memory in the superconductor 4Hb-TaS2 call for a theoretical explanation of spontaneous vortex creation without spontaneous time-reversal symmetry breaking. This mean-field parton theory offers such an explanation in terms of vortices in the slave boson condensate, thereby introducing the notion of a type-II heavy Fermi liquid.
