Why would anyone in Europe take Mr. Rubio at his word, is beyond me. The whims of his boss is the only thing that matters in the current administration.

Hey Apple, I shouldn’t have to download 8.8GB update to XCode to just keep doing what I was doing. Should I? Definitely. Should you make it mandatory to keep working? probably not.

Don’t for a second think that we are safe here in Europe. Right now, powerful, rich, people, are looking at America and see a dream. They are trying to figure out hoentje import that dream to the EU. We have to stay vigilant. We have to keep working for democracy.

I fear the United States of America, as a country, is going to end up like its current president. A delusional bully. Overweight. Of a slow mind, not understanding, yet loud and insulting. Arrogant and despised. It’s relevance diminishing, as more and more nations move to disengage and ignore it.

We here in Europe are watching the fall of democracy in real time. This is a warning, that if we do not do something drastic now, this will be us, sooner than we think.

My daughter, just now: “Catastrophe is one of my favorite words. It sounds like a combination of cat and philosophy” Now I can’t unsee it, or stop laughing.

Just bought tickets to see Kraftwerk! I have been a fan for over 35 years, and finally I get to see them live. So excited!

I’ve been learning the guitar for almost a year now, using the Gibson app. I sometimes wondered about how it would be like to play together, in a band. It seemed to me to be less fun and more stressful. I have rarely been so wrong in my life.
Today I had a lesson with a teacher and we played maybe 5 minutes together. I had no idea how invigorating and satisfying it is to play together with other people, even when you totally suck. It was just amazing.

I now need to quit Teams after every call because the minimized version of the call remains, as a hovering black box, until I close Teams. Even starting a new call does not fix it.

Often you find yourself in a situation where pull request merges (or rebases) has made sure the remote has good branch gygiene, but locally, there are still all these branches that are no longer in use, and are just hanging there. Running
linkgit fetch origin --prune
will pull your local git repo in line with the remote, branch wise. ` -
Though it’s a few years old by now, “Ghost of Tsushima” can still blow me away with how gorgeous it looks.

I remember when Ghost started. I was interested in it then, and I still am. If I wasn’t using Hugo (because SSG), I would probably be on Ghost. https://writing.exchange/@ernie/113397059753036716

Billionaires like Bezos support Trump in an offhand way because they figure out that if he wins while they don’t there will be a reckoning, but if Harris wins while they do, there will be little to no consequences to them. In a way that makes it a safe bet.

America, I am counting on you to prove them wrong. Actions, and inaction, should have consequences, even when you’re a billionaire. -
Inspired by all the indie web posts here, I picked up my website again. It’s in a bad shape but I am working on it. I also wrote a blog post again after checks watch 4 years. So yeah to that. I plan to do more of this indie web stuff. It’s fun!
Anyway, here is my blog post about apps vs physical devices https://kfirbreger.com/blog/there-is-no-app-for-that/

Finishing a weekends of firsts, I got the Teenage Engineering PO-33. I’ve been playing with it for the last couple of hours and I am loving it. It’s so much smaller than I thought, but also so much easier to use. Absolutely smashing. Now I want its big brother, the KO2.

Yesterday I had my first experience of touching actual, physical synths, drums machines and mixers. Now I want one, or more.
Also the first hands on experience with Teenage Engineering’s OP-1 field and the KO2. Such cool hardware. I get the appeal. It not only looks amazing but feels really good to use and touch. I’m a fan.

One of the songs I came across recently, while using the Gibson app to learn to play the guitar, is Santana’s “Samba Pa Ti”. It is a joy to listen to, and to play.

Connecting Hugo to AWS Amplify. Yes AWS is expansive, but the more I look at it, the more I can see the advantages. It solves a lot of common problems in a good way. Main that sounds like a commercial.

In kubernetes Persistance Volume (pv for short) are, like nodes, resources for the whole cluster and are therefore not namespaced. If the pv is configured for Retain it will not be deleted with the pvc. This can lead to some pv stacking up.
k get pv | awk '$6 ~ /^sunny*/ {print $1}' | xargs kubectl delete pv
The folowing command wil find all the pv that were made for a pvc from a given namespace (sunny in this command) and delete them. awk is used for the selection and xargs for execution of delete
