About Us
The Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) marked its 50th anniversary in September 11 this year 2023. The magnificent masterpiece that is the KICC has been and still remains the country’s icon and symbol since its inception in 1973. The Centre forms part of Kenya’s history and a companion that define and shape the country’s future. It remains part of Kenya’s rich heritage and provides a platform for the country to leap into its future.
The fact is, no one really thinks of Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, without the iconic building KICC, lining the blue skies. It seems to have been part of the capital for eternity, having played host to both local and international meetings, summits, exhibitions, and great world leaders and celebrities since 1973.
PRODUCTIVITY MAINSTREAMING
During the Financial Year, the Corporation collected data for computation of productivity index for the Financial year 2021 - 2022, 2022 - 2023 and is currently updating for the Financial year 2023 - 2024.

- CPA Samuel Waweru Mwangi is the Chairperson of Kenyatta International Convention Centre.
- Prior to joining the Corporation, Mwangi has served as head of Finance in various Corporates.
- Mwangi is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in accounting, financial management, and operations.
- He holds a Master of Science in Finance and Investment from and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) from KCA University.
- He is a certified Public Accountant and a certified Investment and Financial Analyst (CIFA). He is also a member of ICPAK
- Mwangi boasts of a proven track record in overseeing financial operations, managing budgets, and conducting detailed financial analyses.
- He is also a successful entrepreneur.
- His vast expertise in financial performance and management coupled with his leadership skills will be instrumental in steering Kenya’s MICE sector to even greater
heights.
