It helps us identify the various parameters that can help control the epidemic if the modelling is done carefully. Physical modelling of the dynamics in the form of circuits and systems can augment the understanding of disease mechanisms. In this paper, we develop two electronic circuit models for realizing the dynamics of two compartmental models widely used in epidemiological studies. These models are important in the context of the current, rampant COVID-19 global pandemic. This innovative study will no doubt pave the way for developing electronic circuits and analog processing systems that can simulate the dynamics of more complex population models.

A wee bit of scruple and wariness was immensely opportune such that these claims could have at least been postponed to the aftermath of the elections. Yet the superficial naivety of these catch words conceal many hidden dimensions, enough to make one revel in semiotic delights. The most direct deconstructive readings will perceive the synthesis of a heartless Machiavellianism and an impudent Machpolitik in the flaunting of these slogans. Slogans of macho-politics, once when they fail to deliver, become expressions of ultimate tomfoolery, victims of a cosmic bash.

Our Ummah was the strongest and the most vibrant, when it was still an Ummiyy or illiterate society. During the heights of the so-called intellectual and civilisational splendour, the Ummah was Balkanized into many splinters and all sorts of decadence were rapidly creeping into its body. The basic issue is moral. Islam demands from us to assess the moral condition of the society and to take the necessary steps to reorganize the society on the true moral foundations. In Islam the purpose of learning is to act. Ilm should be followed by Amal. Prophet has said that acting upon what one knows itself is the means of increasing one’s knowledge. In other words, our incapability to act upon our knowledge and realization itself will lead to our intellectual decadence.

How does it relate to the essential being of man and the realization of his multifarious capabilities and potentials in the various domains of life and existence in this world? These are certain issues whose investigation has become more than ever relevant in our contemporary contexts. This paper is an attempt to search and shed light on some aspects of this matter, which I believe should be taken up in a much more comprehensive manner by more competent and knowledgeable persons. Prior to developing an Islamic discourse on the nature and reality of language, I think it would be worthwhile to dwell a bit upon the role and significance accorded to language in our contemporary world. Fundamental limitation of the western methodology in linguistics Contemporary debates on language revolve around many crucial issues even including the question on whether there exists anything called a language at all. This question has arisen in the scientific study of language called linguistics due to an important historical reason related to the emergence of modern science. The western scientific tradition has first experienced the separation of empirical science from philosophy and the consequent subjugation of philosophy to a role of interpreting the findings of the scientific 'discoveries'. This handicapped science, which feigned supremacy as man's highest and most trustworthy intellectual pursuit, with its strictly materialistic and empiricist methodology and goals accorded matter or physicality the absolute referential status of reality. The biological, chemical and other types of properties derived 'scientific' legitimacy from the 'fundamental' reality of matter. It is as if reality springs out from physical matter. The various dimensions of reality emerge out from the various levels of organization of matter. Thus even mind and language is described "the necessary result of a particular organization of matter". Thus the history of scientific progress and the concomitant proliferation into the multifarious disciplines and specialisations has totally imbibed to this spirit of the shadow of physical reality reflected in many other derivative dimensions. Thus the tradition of modern science instituted for a minor aspect of reality, i.e. matter, fundamental and foundational relevance and turned the process of intellectual enquiry upside down, that is, rather than from the source of divine guidance through derivative ideas into the minor details of existence including matter, to that from matter to other dimensions. Over riding this spirit of the upside down science is the Cartesian phantom of separation of mind and matter.

An attempt to critically analyze the movement of Islamization is not undertaken here. As such, it doesn't have any solutions disregarding the fundamental questions raised by the looming presence of the outdated dam in the seismically active and ecologically fragile belt, where it belongs. The two solutions proposed, one each by the states of Tamilnad and Kerala are as follows. The state of Tamilnad, taking resort to juridical, legal, technical and other means, asserts that the century-over dam is still safe and could be sustained with not-toosignificant repair works. Kerala maintains that, the dam is unsafe and poses a high risk to the districts, property and lives of 3.5 million people of Kerala. In a nutshell, this is seen as an 'inter-state' dispute.

The name given to such a man is Waliy, which means, 'the friend of Allah'. The name of the book itself could be translated as 'The Guidance for the Intelligent to the Way of the Friends of Allah'. The book defines the integral qualities needed for the attainment of total felicity. This can be achieved only through the realization of the immense potential ingrained in the human being. Sheikh Zainudin visualised the development of such a person to the station of Wilaya, through proper education and training. Hence this book is written in the form of advices for students expressed through beautiful rythmic verses. The verses touch upon all the vital aspects of the human being and elucidates the methods for training all human faculties to achieve the highest goals of human life. In this paper, we attempt to unravel the human personality that Adhkiya undertakes to realize through its counsels. The man of Adhkiya is not an abstract being journeying in an unreal metaphysical realm, but rather a full-blooded creature engaging with all realities of mundane human life. We argue that this man does not merely dwell in a poetic text, but rather is one which has been realized historically many times and still inspires the religious imagination of the Muslims people of Kerala. The man of Adhkiya had played a central role in shaping our religious consciousness and is of vital importance to the future generations also.

This framework is essential for understanding the phenomenon of takrār 0 2 B E in the Qur ān. In this study, we undertake to clarify some important dimensions of takrār with reference to the bayān 0 2 B E of the Qur ān. We attempt to unravel how the kernel of ideas in the above-mentioned verses is contained in the magnificent exposition on takrār by Badīuzamān Nūrsī in his celebrated work, Risāl-e-Nūr. The tenth topic in the eleventh ray (al-shuʾāʿ al-hādī ʿashr) of Risāl-e-Nūr of Said Badīuzamān Nūrsī, titled " The Flower of Emīrdag " (Zahra Emīrdag), offers critical insights into the nature of the various types of repetitions (takrār) observed in the Qurʾān. In this article, we try to situate these insights in a framework of the bayān of Qurʾān as explained in Sūra Ar-Rahmān. Here, we take the following definition of bayān: " It is articulation and speech through various languages and numerous phrases, with the purpose of conveying through the formulation of words, their meanings, and to further discern from them their significations, purposes, and ultimate intents. Know thee! Those are the kinds of gnostic knowledge and the metaphysical realities (al-ḥaqāʾiq) " 1. Thus the ultimate purpose of the bayān of Qurʾān is the articulation of deeper spiritual realities. Ustād Nūrsī presents takrār as an effective device in this regard. Objections raised towards the repetitions in Qurʾān are not a new phenomenon. This is mooted as part of a comprehensive critique that seeks to relegate the station of Qurʾān to a mere human speech and consequently to take issue with it according to the commonly-accepted notions regarding human speech. The profane mentality, which entails the negation of the sacred, attempts to shatter the essential unity of the transcendent and miraculous inimitability (iʿjaz) of the Qurʾān. Scholars of the Qurʾānic sciences (ʿulūm al-Qurʾān) have meticulously classified the various aspects of the iʿjaz of Qurʾān. It is not our endeavor to go into a detailed examination of all these aspects, but to draw attention to a singularly important dimension of iʿjaz, namely, the takrār or repetitions in the Qurʾān. The iʿjaz
