The study group of the research consists of seven students having at least one traumatic experience and studying at a high school in the province of Rize. A semi-structured interview form consisting of 8 questions was used as the basic data collection tool in the study. The obtained data were analyzed by using qualitative data analysis techniques and content analysis technique. Views of five middle and one high school music teachers who have special needs students in their classes were taken for investigation. The purposeful sampling method was used for creating the study group. Qualitative data was collected through the use of a semi-structured interview technique which was designed by the researchers. Arastirmanin calisma grubunu Guzel Sanatlar Lisesinde muzik ve resim alanlarinda ogrenim goren 130 kadin (%67) ve 65 erkek (%33) olmak uzere toplam 195 ogrenci olusturmaktadir. Arastirmada nitel arastirma desenlerinden fenomenoloji deseni kullanilmistir. Arastirmada elde edilen veriler metafor analizine tabi tutulmustur. Arastirmanin bulgularina gore arastirmaya katilan ogrenciler universite kavramina yonelik olarak toplam 174 gecerli metafor uretmislerdir. Empati kavramı pozitif psikolojide ve güncel hayatta oldukça kabul gören bir kavram olmasına karş... more Empati kavramı pozitif psikolojide ve güncel hayatta oldukça kabul gören bir kavram olmasına karşın bireylerin empati düzeyini ölçmek için yeterli psikometrik özelliklere sahip güncel Türkçe ölçüm araçlarının sayısı sınırlıdır. Bu çalışmada Auyeung ve arkadaşları tarafından (2009) geliştirilen Çocuklar için Empati Bölümü Ölçeği’nin Türkçeye uyarlanması ve geçerlik-güvenirlik çalışmalarının yapılması amaçlanmıştır. Orijinal formu 27 maddeden oluşan ölçek geçerlik güvenirlik çalışmaları neticesinde Türkçe formunda 14 maddelik nihai haline getirilmiştir. ÇEBÖ Türkçe formunun Cronbach alfa değeri .73 olarak hesaplanmış; psikometrik özelliklerinin geçerli ve güvenilir olduğu bulunmuştur.

Araştırma nitel araştırma yaklaşımı çerçevesinde fenomenolojik (olgubilim) yöntem benimsenerek yürütülmüştür. Kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme tekniğiyle oluşturulan çalışma grubunda toplam 10 sınıf öğretmeni bulunmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat tekniği kullanılmıştır. Mülakatlar ses kayıt cihazı kullanılarak kayıt edilmiş, daha sonra bu kayıtlar yazıya dökülmüştür. Mülakatlar sonucunda elde edilen veriler içerik analizine tabi tutularak, sürekli karşılaştırmalı analiz tekniği kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular tematik olarak kategorize edilmiş, tablolar halinde sunulmuş ve öğretmenlerin görüşleriyle desteklenmiştir.
