The micro-robot features three axes in a body, small dimensions and internal sensors. Computer simulation and experimental results show that this micro-robot has good dynamic characteristic and high repeatability. It can not only be used as a single equipment, but also can be installed on the end effectors of widely-used industrial robots to compose high accuracy assembly robots

In this study, the non-linear relationship between the two methods was evaluated with the entropy in addition to the linear relationship using correlation coefficients. The correlation coefficients within the amplification method and between the two methods were significantly high, 0.98 and 0.88, respectively. Comparing the entropy as increasing fold-change difference (k), the average entropy value was reduced to 0.02 in the cell line and 0.09 in the tissue samples, indicating that the number of different genes between the two methods was decreased. In addition, the threshold of k according to the percentage of p estimated from entropy values could be used to provide the cut-off line on gene selection. The quantity discordance rate of 0.3-5.47% and the common outlier proportion of 84.2-94.3% between the two methods were detec...

Here a new burst-polling-based delta (DBA) scheme is proposed for quality of service (QoS) using class of service (CoS) in EPONs. The proposed scheme consists of two parts: one is inter-ONU scheduling, which is

To solve the congestion and achieve load balancing, many protocols have been proposed. However, existing load balancing schemes just avoid the congested route in the route discovery procedure or find an alternative route

However, the tiny sensor node has very limited network resources due to its low battery power, low data rate, node mobility, and channel interference constraint between neighbors. Thus, in this paper, we proposed a tree based self-routing protocol

In this paper, a beacon-based self routing (BSR) scheme of a beacon-only period (BOP) mode is presented. The proposed scheme, BSR routes packets from sensor nodes to sink based on the parent-child relationships and from the sink to sensor nodes by BOP formation. Simulation results using TOSSIM (TinyOS SIMulator) and experimental results with Mica-Z show that the BSR scheme outperforms well in comparison to the conventional AODV routing scheme over the parameters such as: average throughput, number of collisions, number of network commands and delivery ratio. Since this work considers utilising beacon payload for routing information delivery in contrast to the previously published in-band conveying approach like AODV, it is concluded that this algorithm could provide better optimisation during the commercialising phase with regard to the level of expectations.
