Carolus Bulfinch (8 Augusti 1763–15 Aprilis 1844) fuit architectus Americanus, a multis primus habitus homo in America natus qui architecturam professionaliter exercuit.[1] Bulfinch cursum vitae Bostoniae in Massachusetta et Vasingtoniae in Districtu Columbiae degit, ubi Curator Aedificationis Publicae meruit mediamque Capitolii Civitatum Foederatarum rotundam aedificavit. Sua opera notabilia sunt propter simplicitatem, compensationem, et iudicium, atque origines sunt proprii modi architecturae Foederalis, praecipue tholos, columnas, et ornamenta classica exprimens, qui in architecturam Americanam saeculi undevicensimi ineuntis dominabatur.
