In neurogenesi cellulae nervales (dextre) ab neuroblastis (sinistre) derivantur.

Neuroblastus vel cellula praecursor neuralis vel cellula nervalis primitiva est simul neuroni cellula progenitor et cellula postmitotica, quae non plus dividuntur, at post migrationem neuron format[1]. Neuroblasti non uniformes sunt, diversa genera cellularum praecursorum neuralium descripta sunt.

In cerebro adulto vero formationem novarum cellularum nervalium (neurogenesem[2]) regiones duas restrictam videtur: et zonam subventricularem secundum ventriculos laterales et gyrum dentatum (zonam subgranularem) hippocampi[3].

Neuroblastoma est neuroblastorum tumor aetatis imprimis puerilis.
