Persepolis (-is, fem.) (lingua Persica تخت جمشيد, Tacht-e Dszamszid?, id est 'Thronus Dszamszidis') fuit antiqua urbs et caput rituale Persidis. Aevo antiquo Persepolis erat caput Imperii Achaemenidarum (c. 550330 a.C.n.). Anno 330 iussu Alexandri regis incendio deleta est.
