Socionica in psychologia et sociologia est theoria informationis producendae et typorum personalitatis, per exemplar psychae (exemplar A appellatum) et exemplar congruentiae interpersonalis distincta. Quae theoria opus Caroli Jung de Typis Psychologicis et theoriam metabolismi informationis Antonii Kępiński coniungit. Socionica, variatio theoriae typorum personalitatum Jungianae, octo potentiis, contra exemplar Jungianum, quod solum quattuor potentiis, utitur. Quae potentiae informationem variis facultatis gradibus in uno homine producere et cum potentia congruente in aliis hominibus agere habentur, affectus animique motus gignens qui praedici possunt—quod reapse theoria coniunctionum inter typos est.[1][2]

Socionica annis 1970 et 1980 excolebatur, plerumque ab Aušra Augustinavičiūtė, investigatore Lithuaniana, oeconomo, sociologo, psychologo, decanoque facultatis scientiae familiaris in instituto paedagogico Vilnensi.[3] Nomen socionica a vocabulo societate derivatur quia Augustinavičiūtė credebat cuique typo personalitatis est propositum sociale, quod a socionica describi explicarique potest.[4][5][6]
