Textus muscularis est secundum terminologia anatomica (H2.00.05.0.00001) unus ex textuum principalium. Textui musculari facultas se contrahendi est. In mammalia inveniuntur tria genera textuum muscularium:

  • Musculus striatus - fibrae musculares "musculorum voluntariorum"
  • Musculus levis - fibrae musculares viscerum et vasorum sanguineorum
  • Musculus cardiacus - fibrae musculares cordis

Cellula singularis dicitur myocytus. Myocytis non solum sed multi nuclei esse queant[1].
