Biju Longhinos
Biju Longhinos is an active academician and researcher in Earth sciences. He received degree of 'Philosophiae Doctor' in Marine Geology in Cochin University of Science and Technology, India, in 2009. Since 2000, he worked at the Department of Geology, University College, Trivandrum City, India, and since 2016 at Geo-Technology and Geology Division, College of Engineering, Trivandrum City. His research focuses on Global tectonics and landscape evolution since Pliocene. As an extensive field worker, he has come across a number of geological imprints that are either overlooked or suppressed by fellow researchers, which led him to convene an international meeting in 2011 at Kanyakumari, enabling scientists of different geological schools of thought to assemble and to discuss the possibilities on the evolution of earth, at planetary scale. Scientific thought processes must be non-dogmatic, which would give all observations and facts verified logically. He has worked on the tectonic evolution of North Atlantic, especially Iceland and the Arctic. He is currently involved in project looking into the planetary scale fractures and their geometry in south west Indian Ocean in relation with the geomechanics of the same exposed in land across India and south east Africa. He has five peer reviewed publication in earth sciences and is a member of high level core committee on river basin management constituted by the Government of the state Kerala, India.Thesis published @http://dyuthi.cusat.ac.in/xmlui/handle/purl/2408
