CATalyst Studios

Students Looking at a Laser Cut Project

CATalyst Studios

Visit our makerspace to explore new technology and collaborate with others in a welcoming space.

What can you do at CATalyst Studios?

At CATalyst you can:

  • Explore and use our equipment, including laser cutters and 3D printers
  • Attend our events and workshops to learn new maker skills
  • Create your own media and projects in our spaces, including podcasts and videos
  • Get certified in 3D printing, laser cutting, or CNC milling.

We're open to everyone! You don't need previous experience to use our spaces, equipment, and technology to create innovative projects. Our staff is here to support you and your next project.

Before you can use our space, we ask that you watch our orientation video and sign our user agreement.

You can access our orientation video, user agreement, and training materials for all machines in our CATalyst D2L Course, which is accessible to all UA students and affiliates.

While we focus on working with students at the University of Arizona, community members are also welcome to use our spaces and equipment. We invite instructors to bring your class to CATalyst Studios for hands-on learning opportunities.
