Web-based applications provide the power of desktop and server applications with the exibility and accessibility of the web. The special issue strives to explore the advanced web-based information systems and database applications in healthcare area. About the editor
Dr. Athina Lazakidou is currently a lecturer at the University of the Peloponnese, Sparta, and a visiting lecturer in informatics at the Hellenic Army Academy & Hellenic Naval Academy, Greece as. Prior to that, she worked as a visiting lecturer at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Cyprus (2000-2002). She is also an internationally known expert in the field of computer applications in healthcare and biomedicine, with seven books and numerous papers to her credit.
