Merging items

edit

Hallo Prüm,

For merging items, you may want to use the merge.js gadget from help page about merging. It has an option "Request deletion for extra items on RfD" to automatically place a request to delete the emptied page. This way of nominating makes it a lot easier for the admins to process the requests.

With regards,

Thanks, I'll give it a try. --Prüm (talk) 20:24, 31 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

German user account

edit

Hi Prüm,

German is not my mother tongue and I don't know who has created my user account there. Please delete it, I'm only interested in editing Wikidata.

Kind regards, Батальйон Нахтігаль (talk) 21:18, 8 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

I understand that, it's because you have a global account. Unfortunately, your dewiki account can't be deleted, because it became linked to your global account once you visited dewiki and edited there. I should go on to have your account blocked on dewiki then, but keep in mind that there are stewards who could argue likewise that your account name is inappropriate for editing on any Wikimedia project. Therefore my advice to you would be to contact such a steward and ask to have your account renamed globally. --Prüm (talk) 21:26, 8 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
