ps... more This study aimed to examine the predictive power of university students' life satisfaction and psychological resilience on their social media addictions using structural equation modeling. The study group consisted of 322 students studying at various state and foundation universities in the spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale, Life Satisfaction Scale and Brief Psychological Resilience Scale were used as data collection tools in the study. As a result of structural equation analysis, it was determined that there were negative, high and significant relationships between students' social media addictions and their life satisfaction and psychological resilience. Additionally, it was determined that university students' life satisfaction and psychological resilience predicted their social media addiction. Then, the differences in students' life satisfaction, psychological resilience and social media addiction scores according to gender and internet usage time were examined. According to the results, it was seen that male students had higher social media addiction levels and female students had higher life satisfaction. There was no significant difference between the psychological resilience of male and female students. Additionally, it was determined that students' social media addictions, life satisfaction and psychological resilience differed according to daily internet usage time. As a result of the research, it was seen that the life satisfaction and resilience of university students were important in reducing social media addictions, and various suggestions were made to educators and mental health experts.

Çocuğun yetiştirilmesinde aile önemli bir rol oynar ve okul ile aile arasındaki işbirliğinin önemi her geçen gün daha da önem kazanmaktadır. Bu nedenle velilerin bu süreçte öğretmen ve okul yöneticileri ile koordineli çalışmaları beklenmektedir. Beklentilerinin dikkate alınmadığını düşünen bir ebeveyn, çocuğunun okuldaki eğitim süreci hakkında öğretmen ve yönetici gibi okuldaki diğer aktörlerle aktif olarak işbirliği yapmaz. Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğrenci velileri ile okulun diğer paydaşları arasındaki işbirliği, iletişim ve paylaşımı belirlemeye yönelik bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Çalışma 336 katılımcı ile yürütülmüştür. Verilerin toplanmasında internet tabanlı yöntem kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan “Veli-Okul İşbirliği Ölçeği (VOKİ)” kullanılmıştır. Ölçek 5 alt ölçek ve 4’lü derecelemeli 30 Likert tarzı maddeden oluşmaktadır. Çalışma 1: Alt boyutların belirlenmesinde ölçek geliştirme istatistiği olarak Varimax rotasyonlu AFA (açımlayıcı faktör analizi) kullanılmıştır. Güvenirliği belirlemek için madde-toplam korelasyon katsayısı ve madde-kalan korelasyon katsayısı, Cronbach ve Rulon katsayısı hesaplanmıştır. Çalışma 2: Ölçek AFA (açımlayıcı faktör analizi) ve madde analizi ile yapılandırıldıktan sonra DFA (Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi) ile yapı geçerliği test edilmiştir. CFA modelinin uygunluğunu test etmek için CFI (Karşılaştırmalı Uyum İndeksi) ve RMSEA (Yaklaşıklığın Ortalama Karekök Hatası) uyum indeksleri kullanılmıştır. Bu kriterler göz önünde bulundurularak ölçekler için DFA modelleri oluşturulmuştur. Ölçeğin geçerli, güvenilir ve istatistiksel işlemler sonucunda kullanılabilir olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

The study group of this research, which was designed in the relational survey model, consists of 204 fourth-grade primary school students studying in the Pendik district of Istanbul. In the research, the “School Happiness Scale for Primary School Children” developed by Ozdemir et al. (2021) and “The Digital Game Addiction Scale” which was developed by Lemmens, Valkenburg & Peter (2009) and adapted into Turkish by Yalçın-Irmak & Erdoğan (2015), and later whose validity and reliability analyzes were made for primary school children by Oral and Arabacıoglu (2019) were used. According to the research findings, it was found that the students' school happiness was at a moderate level and their digital game addiction was at a high level. Students' school happiness levels and digital game addiction levels do not show significant differences according to their genders. Similarly, the digital game addiction levels of students do not differ statistically according to the gender of their teachers, but the school happiness levels of students with female teachers are statistically significantly higher than those with male teachers. On the other hand, while the digital game addiction levels of the students do not differ significantly according to the school success of the students, the school happiness levels of the students with medium school success are significantly higher than the students with low or very high school success. According to another finding obtained from the research, there is a negative, low, and significant relationship between students' school happiness levels and digital game addiction levels. As a result of the regression analysis, it was seen that school happiness was a significant predictor of digital game addiction. School happiness explains 3% of digital game addiction.

School administrators, teachers, and parents are the stakeholders of the school, together with the students. Coordinated and harmonious work by all stakeholders increases the success of the school. The family plays an important role in raising a child, and the importance of collaboration between school and family is increasing day by day. Therefore, we expect parents to collaborate with teachers and school administrators in this process. The sample consists of 336 primary school parents randomly selected from 4 schools in Edirne, Turkey. We used the "parent-school collaboration scale" to collect research data. The scale contains 30 items and 5 subscales. ANOVA (Analysis of variance) was used in the analysis of the data, and in cases where the difference between population means was significant, LSD (the least significant difference) test statistical techniques were used to determine the source of the difference. Interdimensional relationships were determined by the Pearson correlation coefficient technique. There is a recursive relationship between the parents' collaborative attitude and their communication with the school. If the level of communication between parents and other stakeholders in the school increases, the attitude towards collaboration with the school will also be more positive. According to the research findings, the importance of parents sharing information about their children is emerging.

In this research, which was designed in a relational survey model, the “Teacher Patience Scale” developed by Meriç and Erdem (2022) and the “Teacher Professional Resilience Scale” developed by Näswall, Malinen, Kuntz, and Hodliffe (2019) and adapted into Turkish by Limon (2022) were used as data collection tools. The sample of the research consists of 404 teachers working in public schools in the Kartal and Tuzla districts of Istanbul. According to the research findings, it was found that the teachers' patience levels and professional resilience levels were high. In addition, while the patience and professional resilience levels of teachers do not show a statistically significant difference according to the gender of the teachers, their educational status, and the number of teachers working in their schools, they show statistically significant differences according to their professional seniority and educational levels. These differences are in favor of teachers working in primary and secondary schools and teachers with lower seniority. According to another finding obtained from the research, there is a positive, high, and significant relationship between teachers' patience levels and their professional resilience levels. As a result of the regression analysis, it was seen that teacher patience was a significant predictor of professional resilience. Teacher patience explains 73% of professional resilience.

The aim of this study is to examine the dissertations on accredita-tion in terms of content and m... more The aim of this study is to examine the dissertations on accredita-tion in terms of content and method and to develop suggestions in line with the findings. The data of the research, which is a qualitative study based on document analysis, consists of 95 postgraduate education disser-tations written on the subject of accreditation in Turkey. The following questions were examined on the dissertations examined within the scope of the research: What is the distribution of the dissertations according to years and graduate levels?, What is the distribution of the titles of the faculty members who advise the dissertations?, Which data collection tools were used in the dissertations?, What is the distribution of dissertations accord-ing to departments?, What is the distribution of dissertations according to universities? The findings obtained as a result of the examinations are as follows: The theses on the subject of accreditation in Turkey were mostly made at the master's level and in 2019, the academicians with the title of professor were the consultants for the theses, the quantitative research method and scanning model were preferred more in the theses, the data were predominantly obtained from healthcare professionals. Questionnaire was preferred more as a data collection tool. The theses produced on the subject of accreditation were mostly published in the department of educa-tional sciences. Marmara University and Dokuz Eylul University stand out as the universities that deal with accreditation the most within the thesis. In line with the findings obtained, some suggestions have been made for re-searchers and practitioners.

In this research, which was designed in a relational survey model, as data collection tools, the “Technology Proficiency Self-Assessment Scale for 21st Century Learning” developed by Christensen and Knezek and adapted to Turkish conditions by Fidan, Debbağ and Çukurbaşı (2020); and “Teachers' Technology Integration Indicators Scale” developed by Çakıroğlu, Gökoğlu and Çebi (2015) were used. The research sample consisted of 398 teachers working in public schools in Istanbul’s Pendik and Tuzla districts. The findings showed that teachers' technology proficiencies and integration levels were high. In addition, teachers' technology proficiencies and ability to integrate technology into their lessons did not show statistically significant differences according to their gender, professional seniority and education level. However, the teachers’ technology proficiency and the level of integrating technology into their lessons showed statistically significant differences according to their educational status. These differences in both variables were significantly higher for teachers with graduate education than those with undergraduate education. According to another finding from this research, there was a positive, high level and significant relationship between teachers' technology proficiency and their ability to integrate technology into their lessons. As a result of the regression analysis, it was seen that technological proficiency was a significant predictor of technology integration. Technological proficiency explains 53.9% of technology integration.

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between school principals' democratic leade... more The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between school principals' democratic leadership behaviors and their ability to diversity management according to teacher perceptions. This study was designed using a correlational survey model. Sample of the research consists of 307 teachers working in Pendik and Kartal districts of Istanbul. “Democratic Leadership Scale” and “Diversity Management Scale” were used in the research. Research data were analyzed using arithmetic mean, standard deviation, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. According to the findings, the democratic leadership behaviors of school principals were at a moderate level, and their diversity management skills were at a low level. The results of the correlation analysis showed that there was a positive, low-level, significant relationship between the two variables. Finally, as a result of the simple linear regression analysis, it was found that school principals' democratic leadership behaviors were a significant predictor of their diversity management skills. The findings obtained from the research were discussed in line with the relevant literature and some suggestions were presented for researchers and practitioners.

In this study, relationship between pre-service teachers' attitudes towards learning and sustaina... more In this study, relationship between pre-service teachers' attitudes towards learning and sustainable learning levels are examined. Sample of the study consists of 428 pre-service teachers studying at Tekirdag Namik Kemal University. Scale for Attitudes Towards Learning and Scale for Sustainable Learning were used throughout the study. Data obtained during the study were analyzed by arithmetic average, standard deviation, correlation analysis and regression analysis. According to findings, it is determined that pre-service teachers' attitudes towards learning and sustainable learning levels are at high levels. At the end of conducted regression analysis, it is found that scores obtained by means of scale for pre-service teachers' attitudes towards learning predict scores belonging to both cognitive and behavioral sub-scales of sustainable learning scale at a remarkable accuracy. Obtained findings are discussed in accord with relevant literature and suggestions were presented.

Sustainable Leadership Scale, Organizational Commitment Scale and Job Satisfaction Scale were used in the research. Research data were analysed by arithmetic mean, standard deviation, correlation analysis and stepwise regression analysis. According to the findings, teachers’ organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and their perceptions regarding sustainable leadership behaviors of school principals were found to be at a high level. Research on organizations operating in different fields has shown that organizational hypocrisy h... more Research on organizations operating in different fields has shown that organizational hypocrisy has negative impact on employees' organizational behaviors. In terms of educational organizations, the studies show that organizational hypocrisy has a negative relationship with organizational silence, organizational rumor, organizational happiness, organizational commitment etc. Thus, these situations suggest that organizational hypocrisy may have a mediating role between organizational silence and organizational rumor. Based on this thought this study aims to examine the mediating role of organizational hypocrisy in the relationship between organizational silence and organizational rumor in educational organizations. The study was conducted with a total of 323 teachers, 236 females (73%), and 87 males (27%). The data were collected by using the "Organizational Silence Scale", "Organizational Rumor Scale" and "Organizational Hypocrisy Scale." In analyzing the data, descriptive statistics, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, path analysis, and bootstrapping method were used to test the significance of the mediating effect. The results of the study showed that there was a positive significant relationship between organizational silence, organizational hypocrisy, and organizational rumor. The bootstrapping results showed that organizational hypocrisy had a partial mediating role in the relationship between organizational silence and organizational rumor. It is considered that the results obtained can be used to reduce organizational rumor at schools. In addition, it can be said that the results obtained from the study will be a guide for future studies.

In this research, which was designed in a relational survey model, as data collection tools, the “Technology Proficiency Self-Assessment Scale for 21st Century Learning” developed by Christensen and Knezek and adapted to Turkish conditions by Fidan, Debbağ and Çukurbaşı (2020); and “Teachers' Technology Integration Indicators Scale” developed by Çakıroğlu, Gökoğlu and Çebi (2015) were used. The research sample consisted of 398 teachers working in public schools in Istanbul’s Pendik and Tuzla districts. The findings showed that teachers' technology proficiencies and integration levels were high. In addition, teachers' technology proficiencies and ability to integrate technology into their lessons did not show statistically significant differences according to their gender, professional seniority and education level. However, the teachers’ technology proficiency and the level of integrating technology into their lessons showed statistically significant differences according to their educational status. These differences in both variables were significantly higher for teachers with graduate education than those with undergraduate education. According to another finding from this research, there was a positive, high level and significant relationship between teachers' technology proficiency and their ability to integrate technology into their lessons. As a result of the regression analysis, it was seen that technological proficiency was a significant predictor of technology integration. Technological proficiency explains 53.9% of technology integration.

This study was designed using a correlational survey model. Sample of the research consists of 307 teachers working in Pendik and Kartal districts of Istanbul. “Democratic Leadership Scale” and “Diversity Management Scale” were used in the research. Research data were analyzed using arithmetic mean, standard deviation, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. According to the findings, the democratic leadership behaviors of school principals were at a moderate level, and their diversity management skills were at a low level. The results of the correlation analysis showed that there was a positive, low-level, significant relationship between the two variables. Finally, as a result of the simple linear regression analysis, it was found that school principals' democratic leadership behaviors were a significant predictor of their diversity management skills. The findings obtained from the research were discussed in line with the relevant literature and some suggestions were presented for researchers and practitioners.

Sample of the study consists of 428 pre-service teachers studying at Tekirdag Namik Kemal University. Scale for Attitudes Towards Learning and Scale for Sustainable Learning were used throughout the study. Data obtained during the study were analyzed by arithmetic average, standard deviation, correlation analysis and regression analysis. According to findings, it is determined that pre-service teachers' attitudes towards learning and sustainable learning levels are at high levels. At the end of conducted regression analysis, it is found that scores obtained by means of scale for pre-service teachers' attitudes towards learning predict scores belonging to both cognitive and behavioral sub-scales of sustainable learning scale at a remarkable accuracy. Obtained findings are discussed in accord with relevant literature and suggestions were presented.

In terms of educational organizations, the studies show that organizational hypocrisy has a negative relationship with organizational silence, organizational rumor, organizational happiness, organizational commitment etc. Thus, these situations suggest that organizational hypocrisy may have a mediating role between organizational silence and organizational rumor. Based on this thought this study aims to examine the mediating role of organizational hypocrisy in the relationship between organizational silence and organizational rumor in educational organizations. The study was conducted with a total of 323 teachers, 236 females (73%), and 87 males (27%). The data were collected by using the "Organizational Silence Scale", "Organizational Rumor Scale" and "Organizational Hypocrisy Scale." In analyzing the data, descriptive statistics, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, path analysis, and bootstrapping method were used to test the significance of the mediating effect. The results of the study showed that there was a positive significant relationship between organizational silence, organizational hypocrisy, and organizational rumor. The bootstrapping results showed that organizational hypocrisy had a partial mediating role in the relationship between organizational silence and organizational rumor. It is considered that the results obtained can be used to reduce organizational rumor at schools. In addition, it can be said that the results obtained from the study will be a guide for future studies.

spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale, Life
Satisfaction Scale and Brief Psychological Resilience Scale were used as data collection tools in the
study. As a result of structural equation analysis, it was determined that there were negative, high
and significant relationships between students' social media addictions and their life satisfaction and
psychological resilience. Additionally, it was determined that university students' life satisfaction and
psychological resilience predicted their social media addiction. Then, the differences in students' life
satisfaction, psychological resilience and social media addiction scores according to gender and
internet usage time were examined. According to the results, it was seen that male students had
higher social media addiction levels and female students had higher life satisfaction. There was no
significant difference between the psychological resilience of male and female students. Additionally,
it was determined that students' social media addictions, life satisfaction and psychological resilience
differed according to daily internet usage time. As a result of the research, it was seen that the life
satisfaction and resilience of university students were important in reducing social media addictions,
and various suggestions were made to educators and mental health experts.
