Yiyecek-içecek sektörü altında hizmet veren fırın ve pastane işletmesi çalışanları örnekleminde g... more Yiyecek-içecek sektörü altında hizmet veren fırın ve pastane işletmesi çalışanları örnekleminde gerçekleştirilen bu araştırmanın amacı çalışanlarının örgütsel adalet ve iş performansı algılarının çeşitli demografik değişkenlere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını belirlemektir. Araştırmanın örneklem grubu Mersin ilinde faaliyet gösteren fırın ve pastane çalışanları oluşturmaktadır. 295 fırın çalışanından yüz yüze temas yöntemiyle anket aracılığıyla, 2017 Mayıs-Ekim 2017 ayları arasında kolayda örnekleme yöntemi ile veri toplanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde yüzde, frekans gibi betimleyici analizlerle beraber, doğrulayıcı faktör analizi, Bağımsız Çift Örneklem T-testi, Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi (ANOVA) ve Post-Hoc Analizi uygulanmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen fark testleri sonucunda cinsiyete göre örgütsel adaletin tüm boyutları ve iş performansının anlamlı şekilde farklılaştığı, eğitim düzeyine göre yalnızca dağıtımsal adalet algısının anlamlı şekilde farklılaştığı ve gelir düzeyine göre ise örgütsel adaletin tüm alt boyutlarının anlamlı şekilde farklılaştığı anlaşılmıştır (p≤0,05). The aim of this study which has been carried out in the sample of bakery companies under the food and beverage sector is to examine whether organizational justice and job performance significantly differs according to some demographic variables. The sample of the research is composed of the employees of bakery companies in Mersin. Data have been collected from 295 employees, through convenience sampling and face to face application between May-October 2017. During the analysis process, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, independent sample t-test, one way variance analysis (ANOVA) and Post-hoc tests have been implemented. Difference test has revealed that three justice dimensions and job performance differs significantly according to gender variable, whereas only three justice dimensions differs significantly according to level of income. Besides, only distributive justice perception differs according to education level of the bakery employees (p≤0,05).

The sampling of the research contains 52 people consisting of the protocol of Anamur, non-governmental organizations, tourism establishments and some managers of institutions. Seven open-ended questions and Aeker (1997)’s scale of destination brand personality were conducted to determine the brand identity of Anamur in this research. Content analysis was applied, which is one of the qualitative analysis methods, to the data obtained through open-ended questions and for the destination brand personality, results of arithmetic mean and standard deviation were calculated, which are two techniques of descriptive analysis. According to the research findings, “natural values” and “historical and cultural values” have a significant role in the creation of brand identity of Anamur.
The aim of the research is to determine the factors motivating tourists who prefer cave tourism, ... more The aim of the research is to determine the factors motivating tourists who prefer cave tourism, which is an alternative kind of tourism. In the research, content analysis, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was preferred in order to find out the factors which motivate visitors. For visitors’ comments, content analysis was applied to positive and negative 167 comments obtained from the most commonly-used travel website, tripadvisor.com. Data were analyzed through NVIVO11. While visitors’ comments in the research findings were being classified under the categories of attractive factors that motivate visitors, natural beauty, health, gastronomy, adventure, history and story, demotivating factors were also determined such as, lack of advertisement and infrastructure problems.

In the research, among the qualitative research methods, content analysis is preferred to determine the visitors motivating factors and their positive and negative feelings. Total 127 reviews based on domestic tourists comments, are kept to content analysis. In this case, while the research’s ideal population creats all domestic tourists visiting Ulucanlar Prison Museum, domestic tourists who left comments about Ulucanlar Prison Museum on www.tripadvisor.com website, creats real population. In the research, according to visitors reviews classified that 6 dimensions (motivation of visitors, both positive and negative senses of visitors, the prison museum activities, experiences, suggestions to other visitors and wishes) are identified.
Nowadays, agrotourism, adventure tourism, rural tourism or dark tourism can be considered as alte... more Nowadays, agrotourism, adventure tourism, rural tourism or dark tourism can be considered as alternatives to mass tourism. These alternative tourism formations release mass tourism from negative effects on environment and culture and create new destinations by supporting new tourism models. In this research the aim is to determine Turkey’s dark tourism potential and to constitute its sub categories. Dark tourism serves sensual and educational purposes by keeping messages of past. These destinations and environments may have connotations about revenge, sympathy, emphaty, depression, sorrow, fear, and hate on visitors. The research method is the secondary data. Furthermore, the interviews have been made with ten academic history teachers. Semi-structured interviews are carried out with each participant. The findings have been classified under seven categories served by Stone(2006). By the results of the research is has been uncovered that Turkey has a very rich dark tourism potential. Turkey has Çanakkale and Sarıkamış battle fields in battle field category, Yedikule and Sinop Dungeons in Dungeon category, The Ottoman Tombs in tombs category, the Barbarian Museum in Cyprus in dark exhibition category as important findings of the research.
Humans have used the plants in nature in cuisines, medicine or some other aims in history. In som... more Humans have used the plants in nature in cuisines, medicine or some other aims in history. In some parts of Anamur the research for plants not only for meals but also medicine has developed the local culture. In this research the purpose is to designate the names of the plants which are grown in nature in Anamur(Mersin) and their usage in cuisine. In the research the unstructure face to face interview technique was used as the data collection method. According to the research results the 12 usage methods of 14 species which belong to 13 families have been determined. These 12 usage methods are used in 29 meals, meat sautee, soups and salads. Among these ethnobotanical plants which are used in local cuisine there are 3 species of Brassieaceae, Fabaceae, Amaranthaceae families and the each other belongs to different families.

The purpose of the research is to build an awareness on intangible cultural heritage of our country and to form a theoric frame which supports the Anamur wedding tradition in order to be transmitted to further generations successfully. In the research especially the secondary data was examined and the unstructured face to face interview technique was used as the data collection method. The basic results of the research show that the wedding dinner is extremely important in Anamur. As in the other Anatolian regions the flag hanging shows the wedding has begun. Furthermore, the basic musical instruments of the wedding are drum, clarinet and violin.

Araştırmanın yöntemi olarak nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma Kasım-Aralık 2017 aylarında Mersin İlinde 16 kişi ile görüşülerek gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada İç Anadolu bölgesinin güneyi ve Akdeniz bölgesinde Toros dağlarına yakın bölgelerde tüketilen batırık yemeğinin, farklı bölgelerde bölgenin iklimi, sosyo-kültürel ve sosyo-ekonomik yapıları gibi bazı nedenlerden dolayı hazırlanışlarında farklılıklar görülmektedir. ABSTRACT In research, it is aimed -as a local food Batırık- to increase the awareness in the context of sustainable gastronomy tourism and to determine the differences and causes of micro-scale preparation. Semi-structured interview technique was used as qualitative research methods as the research method. The research was conducted with 16 people in Mersin province in November-December 2017. In research, it is seen that there are differences in the preparations of the Batırık meal consumed in the southern part of the inner Anatolian region and near the Taurus Mountains in the Mediterranean region and in the different regions due the climate, socio-cultural and socio-economic structures of the region.
The objective of this study is to determine the impact of destination image (cognitive and affect... more The objective of this study is to determine the impact of destination image (cognitive and affective image) on the intention of Arab tourists to revisit Istanbul. The sample group of the study is comprised of Arab tourists who visited Istanbul in January-April 2016. Data was obtained from a total of 385 Arab tourists for the application. Descriptive analyses such as percentage, frequency as well as statistical tests such as factor analysis (confirmatory), reliability analysis were used in the analysis of the obtained data. Furthermore, Structural Equation Model (SEM) was used to analyze the impact of destination image (cognitive and affective image) on the intention of Arab tourists to revisit Istanbul. The study concluded that cognitive image did have an impact on the intention of Arab tourists to revisit Istanbul, however affective image was not effective in terms of intent to revisit.

The sampling group of the study consists of tourists who visited Alanya district of Antalya between the months of June and August in 2012. A survey containing scales pertaining to destination image and destination loyalty was used as a data collection tool for the application and the collected data were analyzed by benefiting from statistical techniques such as factor analysis, reliability analysis, arithmetical average, standard deviation, Pearson correlation analysis and regression analysis. The study concluded that there was a positive and strong affiliation between the destination image which was reported as positive in general by the participants and destination loyalty and that cognitive image had a greater impact on establishing destination loyalty than affective image.
The objective of this study was to determine the e-service quality dimensions of web sites offeri... more The objective of this study was to determine the e-service quality dimensions of web sites offering touristic services over the internet to domestic tourists and to measure the affiliation of these dimensions with the quality of e-service as well as the affiliation of the perceived value with the e-service quality. The study population consisted of the academic and administrative staff of Mersin University. E-core service quality (E-S-QUAL) and e-recovery service quality (E-RecS-QUAL) scales and a survey measuring perceived value were used as tools to collect data for the application and data was obtained from 360 recipients in total. Percentage, descriptive analysis such frequency were used to analyze the obtained data as well as explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis (EFA,CFA), statistical tests such as reliability analysis. Furthermore the affiliation between e-service quality and perceived value was analyzed with structural equation modeling (SEM). At the end of the study it was determined that there was a positive and strong affiliation between e-service quality and perceived value. In addition the E-S-QUAL and E-RecS-QUAL scales of Parasuraman, Zeithaml & Malhotra, (2005) consisting of 7 dimensions were found to be 6 in this study. These dimensions are efficiency, system availability, fulfillment, privacy (E-S-QUAL), responsiveness-compensation and contact (E-RecS-QUAL).
The tourism industry is easily influenced by external events such as global political disputes, d... more The tourism industry is easily influenced by external events such as global political disputes, diplomatic relations, natural disasters, outbreaks of disease, and economic crisis. This vulnerability negatively affects the economies of underdeveloped countries whose main incomes come from tourism. The purposes of this study were to determine the risk level perceived by the tourists visiting Alanya County, Antalya, during their stay and to determine how their revisit intention is being affected. This study examined the views of 559 tourists visiting Alanya during July 2010 to August 2010. Correlation and regression analyses were applied to evaluate perceived risk levels about Alanya and the effect on revisit intention. As a result of the study, several important risk dimensions were determined and it was shown that some of them were affecting their revisit intention.

Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu Alanya ilçesinde her şey dahil sistemini uygulayan 5 yıldızlı otellerin Haziran-Eylül ayları arasındaki çalışanları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada kolayda örneklem yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Uygulama için veri toplama aracı olarak örgütsel adalet ve Minnesota iş tatmini ölçeklerini içeren anketler kullanılmış olup elde edilen verilerin analizinde faktör analizi, güvenirlik analizi, aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, Pearson korelasyon analizi ve regresyon analizi gibi istatistiksel tekniklerden yararlanılmıştır. Alanya'da beş yıldızlı otellerde çalışan 209 personel üzerinde gerçekleştirilen araştırmanın sonucunda dağıtımsal, işlemsel ve etkileşimsel adaletin iş tatmini üzerinde herhangi bir etkiye sahip olmadığı tespit edilmiştir.
This study aims to investigate the relationship between the organizational justice perception and job satisfaction of the employees those who work in all-inclusive five star hotels in Alanya district. The sample group in the study consists of the employees who work between the period June and September in all-inclusive five star hotels in Alanya. Convenvience sampling method has been applied in the study. The tourism industry is easily influenced by external events such as global political disputes, d... more The tourism industry is easily influenced by external events such as global political disputes, diplomatic relations, natural disasters, outbreaks of disease, and economic crisis. This vulnerability negatively affects the economies of underdeveloped countries whose main incomes come from tourism. The purposes of this study were to determine the risk level perceived by the tourists visiting Alanya County, Antalya, during their stay and to determine how their revisit intention is being affected. This study examined the views of 559 tourists visiting Alanya during July 2010 to August 2010. Correlation and regression analyses were applied to evaluate perceived risk levels about Alanya and the effect on revisit intention. As a result of the study, several important risk dimensions were determined and it was shown that some of them were affecting their revisit intention.

Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu Alanya ilçesinde her şey dahil sistemini uygulayan 5 yıldızlı otellerin Haziran-Eylül ayları arasındaki çalışanları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada kolayda örneklem yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Uygulama için veri toplama aracı olarak örgütsel adalet ve Minnesota iş tatmini ölçeklerini içeren anketler kullanılmış olup elde edilen verilerin analizinde faktör analizi, güvenirlik analizi, aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, Pearson korelasyon analizi ve regresyon analizi gibi istatistiksel tekniklerden yararlanılmıştır. Alanya'da beş yıldızlı otellerde çalışan 209 personel üzerinde gerçekleştirilen araştırmanın sonucunda dağıtımsal, işlemsel ve etkileşimsel adaletin iş tatmini üzerinde herhangi bir etkiye sahip olmadığı tespit edilmiştir.

The aim of this study which has been carried out in the sample of bakery companies under the food and beverage sector is to examine whether organizational justice and job performance significantly differs according to some demographic variables. The sample of the research is composed of the employees of bakery companies in Mersin. Data
have been collected from 295 employees, through convenience sampling and face to face application between May-October 2017. During the analysis process, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, independent sample t-test, one way variance analysis (ANOVA) and Post-hoc tests have been implemented. Difference test has revealed that three justice dimensions and job performance differs significantly according to gender variable, whereas only three justice dimensions differs significantly according to level of income. Besides, only distributive justice perception differs according to education level of the bakery employees (p≤0,05).

According to the research results the 12 usage methods of 14 species which belong to 13 families have been determined. These 12 usage methods are used in 29 meals, meat sautee, soups and salads. Among these ethnobotanical plants which are used in local cuisine there are 3 species of Brassieaceae, Fabaceae, Amaranthaceae families and the each other belongs to different families.
The Intangible Cultural Heritage is the vivid common memory of literature, art, festival, information and skills which were transmitted from generations to generations in history. The purpose of the research is to build an awareness on intangible cultural heritage of our country and to form a theoric frame which supports the Anamur wedding tradition in order to be transmitted to further generations successfully. In the research especially the secondary data was examined and the unstructured face to face interview technique was used as the data collection method. The basic results of the research show that the
wedding dinner is extremely important in Anamur. As in the other Anatolian regions the flag hanging shows the wedding has begun. Furthermore, the basic musical instruments of the wedding are drum, clarinet and violin.

In research, it is aimed -as a local food Batırık- to increase the awareness in the context of sustainable gastronomy tourism and to determine the differences and causes of micro-scale preparation. Semi-structured interview technique was used as qualitative research methods as the research method. The research was conducted with 16 people in Mersin province in November-December 2017. In research, it is seen that there are differences in the preparations of the Batırık meal consumed in the southern part of the inner Anatolian region and near the Taurus Mountains in the Mediterranean region and in the different regions due the climate, socio-cultural and socio-economic structures of the region.
