New Orleans (/nuː ˈɔːrlᵻnz, -ˈɔːrli.ənz, -ɔːrˈliːnz/,[3][4] atau /ˈnɔːrlᵻnz/; Perancis: La Nouvelle-Orléans [la nuvɛlɔʁleɑ̃] ( dengar)) adalah sebuah pelabuhan utama Amerika Syarikat serta bandar dan kawasan metropolitan terbesar di negeri Louisiana. Jumlah penduduk bandar ini adalah 343,829 orang mengikut bancian A.S pada tahun 2010.[5][6] Kawasan Metropolitan New Orleans (Kawasan Statistikal Metropolitan New Orleans–Metairie–Kenner) mempunyai penduduk seramai 1,167,764 orang pada tahun 2010 iaitu kawasan ke-46 terbesar di Amerika Syarikat.[7] Kawasan Statistikal Disatukan New Orleans–Metairie–Bogalusa, sebuah kawasan perniagaan yang lebih besar, mempunyai penduduk seramai 1,452,502 orang pada tahun 2010.[8]
New Orleons terkenal dengan senibina senibina Perancis dan Creole Sepanyol yang menonjol, selain warisan silang-budaya dan bahasanya.[9] New Orleans juga terkenal dengan masakan, musik (khususnya sebagai tempat kelahiran jazz),[10][11] dan sambutan serta perayaan tahunannya, paling terkenal adalah Mardi Gras, yang bermula sejak zaman penjajahan Perancis. New Orleans terletak di tenggara Louisiana, dengan Sungai Mississippi melalui di tengah-tengahnya. Kota dan Parish Orleans (Perancis: paroisse d'Orléans ) adalah sejajar.[18] Kota dan parish ini bersempadanan dengan St. Tammany di utara, St. Bernard di timur, Plaquemines di selatan, dan Jefferson di selatan dan barat.[18][19][20] Tasik Pontchartrain, yang mana merupakan sebahagian daripada had kota, terletak di utara dan Tasik Borgne terletak di timur.[20]
