Dr. Permanand Soothar
I am Dr. Permanand Soothar, a dedicated researcher and academic in the field of Information and Communication Engineering, specializing in electromagnetic fields and microwave technology. I earned my doctoral degree from the prestigious School of Electronic Engineering and Optoelectronics Technology at Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China, under the esteemed Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC). This fully-funded scholarship provided me with the opportunity to advance my research in the dynamic field of electromagnetics and microwave systems.
I completed my Master's degree in a joint collaboration between Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Pakistan, and Aalborg University, Denmark, as part of the European Commission's Mobility for Life exchange program. During this program, I had the privilege of conducting cutting-edge research at Aalborg University, further expanding my knowledge and skill set in electronic and communication systems.
My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Mehran University, Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan, where I laid the foundation for my specialization in electronic and communication systems.
Currently, I serve as a faculty/government officer at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, where I continue to contribute to the academic and research community. As I look toward the future, I am actively seeking post-doctoral opportunities in developed countries to enhance my research expertise further and contribute to advanced scientific developments in the field of electromagnetic engineering and communication systems. In addition to academic positions, I am also open to industry roles that align with my expertise and aspirations for professional growth.
With a strong background in both academic research and practical engineering applications, I am committed to furthering my contributions to the global scientific community.
Supervisors: Prof. Dr. Wu Wen, Prof. Dr. Wang Hao, Prof. Dr. Bhawani Shankar Chowdhry, and Prof. Dr. Aftab Ahmed Memon.
