My doctoral thesis was on public relations and communication in sports clubs. I also graduated from Anadolu University Faculty of Business Administration. Sports businesses need to improve their service quality to achieve their goals continuously. Ente... more Sports businesses need to improve their service quality to achieve their goals continuously. Enterprises that can achieve this will have a positive effect on customer satisfaction and will be able to sustain their existence and allow their businesses to grow. The problem statement of the research is "Is there a relationship between perceived service quality and customer satisfaction in sports businesses?". In this direction, the research aims to examine the relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction in enterprises in terms of different demographic variables. The population of the study consisted of 885 members who receive active service in Mugla Culture Art Sports Center and Trade LLC sports enterprises. The sample consisted of 375 people over the age of 18, 123 of whom were female and 252 of whom were male. To collect the data needed for the research, the personal information form prepared by the researchers, the Sports Facilities Customer Satisfaction Scale (SFCSS) developed by Yıldırım (2017), and the Fitness Centers Service Quality Scale (FCSQS) developed by Sevilmiş (2019) was used. The data were collected a face-to-face questionnaire technique. SPSS 26.0 package program was used to analyze the collected data. Frequency and percentage analyses were used to determine the demographic structure of the data. A T-test was used to investigate the relationship between two independent variables and a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to examine the relationship between three or more variables. Statistical analyses were interpreted based on a p<0.05 significance level. The results of the analyses showed that the Cronbach Alpha values of the scales and sub-dimensions were highly reliable. The findings revealed a strong and positive relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction (r=0.613, p<0.01). This means that customer satisfaction increases with the increase in service quality in sports facilities.
In this study, it was aimed to examine whether the academic goal orientation levels of the studen... more In this study, it was aimed to examine whether the academic goal orientation levels of the students of the Faculty of Sport Sciences have an effect on their career goal discrepancy levels. A total of 303 voluntary undergraduate students (131 female and 172 male) studying at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Faculty of Sport Sciences in the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year participated in the study. The study included the “Demographic Information Form” created by the researchers; the “Academic Goal Orientation Scale” developed by VandeWalle, Cron, and Slocum (2001) and adapted into Turkish by Fındıkoğlu and Gürol (2021); and the “Career Goal Discrepancy Scale” developed by Creed and Hood (2015) and validity and reliability study in Turkish by Yam, Alkın, and Barut (2020). SPSS 22.0 program was used to analyze the data obtained in the study. Frequency and percentage analysis, kurtosis and skewness analysis, t-test analysis, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) test and correlation analysis were performed. As a result of the study, it was determined that the academic goal orientation levels of undergraduate students studying at the Faculty of Sport Sciences had a significant negative relationship with career goal discrepancy levels. In addition, it was concluded that there was a significant positive relationship between the academic goal orientation levels of the students and their grade point averages. Significant differences were found in all scales and sub-dimensions except for the avoidance subdimension in the gender variable; significant differences were found in the proving and avoidance subdimensions in the age and department variables; and significant differences were found in the grade point average variable in the AGOS and learning sub-dimension. No significant difference was found in the class variable.

Additionally, focusing on how holacracy can be applied in the field of sports management, the potential implications of this model for sports organizations are discussed. The Holacracy model supports a participatory leadership approach, allowing employees to take more responsibility and take initiative. The advantages of holacracy include the ability to adapt quickly, the promotion of innovation, and more efficient management of business processes. However, this model also has disadvantages, in particular the need to deal with challenges such as increased uncertainty and complexity. The research reflects real-world applications of holacracy, supported by examples from organizations that have adopted this model. The applicability of holacracy to sports management is an important question mark given the fastchanging nature and complex structures of the sports industry. Especially in sports organizations, holacracy can be effective in performance management and focusing on strategic goals. In conclusion, the research highlights the strategic importance of the holacracy model on sports organizations and provides a guideline for understanding the potential of holacracy in the sports industry. However, it should be noted that studies on the applicability of holacracy in sport management are limited and its suitability to the specific needs of the sport industry has not been addressed in detail. Therefore, future research should focus more on the effectiveness of holacracy in sports management and conduct in-depth investigations on how this model can be adapted to the specific needs of sports organizations.
Moral disengagement in sports refers to the psychological process through which individuals dista... more Moral disengagement in sports refers to the psychological process through which individuals distance themselves from the ethical implications of their actions within the sporting context. This study aims to examine the role of religious commitment between personality traits and moral disengagement and investigate the role of prosocial and antisocial behaviours and moral identity. Student-athletes were recruited from individual and team sports, including football, basketball, handball, volleyball, wrestling, combat sports, swimming, track and field, cycling, badminton, and futsal. We hypothesised that extrovert personality traits directly predict moral identity, religious commitment, and prosocial/antisocial behaviours. Extraversion predicted moral disengagement with the mediation roles of internalisation, symbolisation, religious commitment, and pro- and antisocial behaviours. Our findings provide insights into the complex relationships between personality traits, internalisation, symbolisation, religious commitment, social behaviours, and their impact on moral disengagement. They highlight the importance of considering internalisation, symbolisation, and religious commitment mediating roles in understanding the relationships between extraversion, social behaviours, and moral disengagement. Understanding the complex relationship among these factors can inform the development of tailored interventions that address individual athletes’ needs and characteristics. Our study contributes to the growing body of literature on the psychological underpinnings of ethical behaviour in sports. By elucidating the roles of extraversion, moral identity, religious commitment, and social behaviours in moral disengagement, this research provides a more nuanced understanding of the factors influencing ethical decision-making and behaviour in student-athletes.

The population of the study consisted of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Faculty of Sport Sciences students. The sample consisted of 261 students (Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Coaching Education, Sports Management and Recreation), 102 of whom were female and 159 of whom were male, selected from all departments by random sampling method. As data collection tools in the study, personal information form prepared by the researchers (age, gender, department, grade, monthly personal income and employment status), "Leisure Time Interest Scale" developed by Kyle et al. (2007) to determine students' leisure time interest levels and "Life Satisfaction Scale" developed by Diener et al. (1985) to determine students' life satisfaction levels were used. To determine the demographic characteristics of the data, frequency and percentage analysis, kurtosis and skewness analyses to determine whether the scale scores are normally distributed, t-test and ANOVA tests to determine the relationship between the independent variable of the study, leisure time interest, and the dependent variable, life satisfaction, and Pearson correlation test to determine the relationship between the two variables. As a result of the research, it was found that the leisure time interests of the students of the Faculty of Sport Sciences affect their life satisfaction and there is a significant positive relationship between them.

The training of athletes by coaches with unethical behaviors is a situation that may damage the concept and understanding of ethics in sports. The aim of the study is to examine the attitudes and behaviors of football coaches towards professional ethics and to provide the results of the study with recommendations and literature. The population of the study consists of individuals who have a football coaching certificate in Muğla province, and the sample consists of football coaches who have a coaching certificate and are actively working or not working. In order to collect data for the study, the personal information form prepared by the researchers and the "Coaches' Professional Ethical Behaviors Scale" developed by Kayır and Özbek (2019) were used to measure the attitudes and behaviors of coaches towards the concept of ethics. 115 football coaches voluntarily participated in the study. Kurtosis and skewness analysis, Kruskal Wallis-H test and Mann-Whitney U test were used to analyze the data. As a result of the analysis, a significant difference was found in favor of female coaches in terms of gender variable. No significant difference was found in terms of age, education level, coaching level, coaching period and organization of coaching.

After the creation of the necessary infrastructure, individuals can access the information they aim to reach at any time and place, regardless of time and place, through e-learning. In order to achieve the desired efficiency, it is important to examine the students' wishes and desires that enable them to participate in the learning environment with scientific studies and to bring the results to the literature. Based on this idea, the aim of the study is to examine the e-learning attitude levels of students who actively continue their education in the field of Sports Sciences in terms of different variables. Within the scope of the research, a total of 346 students, 115 female and 231 male, who continue their active education life in all departments of MSKU Sports Sciences Faculty, represented the sample of the study. In order to collect data in the study, a descriptive information form created by the researchers and the E-Learning Attitude Scale developed by Yarayan, Fakazlı and İlhan (2022): University Students Form (ELAAS) developed by Yarayan, Fakazlı, and İlhan (2022) was used. As a result of the research, a significant difference was found between students' elearning attitudes in terms of gender variable. According to the results, students' e-learning attitude levels are low. When other results were examined, while a significant difference was found in terms of gender variable, no significant difference was found in terms of age, department, grade, GPA and the tool used in distance education variables.

The concept of the workforce emerged with the industrial revolution, has transformed into differe... more The concept of the workforce emerged with the industrial revolution, has transformed into different concepts over time, and has emerged as the concept of human resources. It has been seen that the human element is of great importance in all areas of life and has become an indispensable element in management processes. The human factor, which directly affects organizations and their goals and productivity, is also a common subject in scientific studies. In this direction, it aims to examine the postgraduate theses published on "human resources in sports" between 2001-2021 by using the bibliometric analysis method within the scope of the study. Theses carried out at the master's, and doctorate levels in the National Thesis Center affiliated with the Council of Higher Education were included in the bibliometric analysis. "Sports and Workforce," "Sports and Employees," "Sports and Manpower," "Sports and Employees," "Sports and Personnel," "Sports and Human Resources," "Sports and Strategic Human Resources," and "Sports and A total of 85 theses, which are limited to the concepts of "Intellectual Capital" and which are open access, have been examined. The types of postgraduate theses, the years they were published, universities, departments, advisor titles, number of pages, research models, data collection tools, data sources, and language were examined, and bibliometric analysis was carried out. In line with the results obtained in the study, postgraduate theses published on human resources in sports were generally written at the graduate level. The theses, the number of which has increased over the years, were published between 2019-2021 at most. Most theses on human resources in sports were carried out at Fırat University, and most theses as a department were published in the Department of Physical Education and Sports. These are written mainly by Dr. Instructor. It has emerged as a result of the consultancy of its members. The questionnaire technique was also used as a data collection tool in theses which primarily used a quantitative research model. The source languages of the theses written in the 51-100 page range are mostly Turkish sources. In line with these results, the current situation for the work on human resources in sports has been revealed.

The descriptive survey model was preferred in the study, in which the quantitative research method was used. The universe of the research consists of football fans in Turkey. A total of 863 football fans, including 326 women and 537 men, included in the study with the convenience sampling method, constitute the sample group of the research. To obtain data, the "Respect for Opposite Approach and Audit Scale of Self-Control at The Sport" developed by Gülle (2018) and the personal information form created by the researchers were used. Frequency and percentage analyses were conducted to determine the demographic characteristics of the data collected from the fans via Google Form. Kurtosis and skewness analysis were used to understand whether the scale scores showed a normal distribution, and t-test and ANOVA tests were used to determine the relationship between the variables. As a result, there was a significant difference between the two subdimensions of respect and hate, which are the two sub-dimensions of respect for opposite approaches and audit scale of selfcontrol at the sport, and the variables of gender, age, marital status, education level, profession, being a member of a fan group, following the team's social media account and being affected by social media posts. There was also a significant difference between the football fan identification scale and the gender and sports branch variables. In addition, a significant difference was found in the variable of following the matches from the stands in the sub-dimension of hatred towards the opponent. As a result, it can be said that the increase in the level of identification of the fans with their teams causes a decrease in the respect for individuals with opposing views.
The study aims to examine the financial behaviors and attitudes of the students studying in the D... more The study aims to examine the financial behaviors and attitudes of the students studying in the Department of Sports Management. Among the 395 students, the sample of the study consisted of 276 students, 98 females and 178 males, who were studying at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Faculty of Sports Sciences, Department of Sports Management in 2021-2022. The data were collected with the descriptive information form prepared by the researchers and the Financial Literacy Attitude and Behavior Scale (FLABS) developed by Sarıgül (2015). While statistically significant differences were found in the variables of gender, class, family monthly income, and following the daily economic and financial news, no significant difference was found in the variables of age, GPA, type of education, individual monthly income, and having received education in economics or finance. The results showed that women are better financially literate than men. Furthermore, it has been found that those who currently follow financial developments have higher averages than those who do not. In addition, according to the results obtained, it has been found that individuals with lower monthly family income have a higher average of financial literacy than individuals with higher monthly family income.

The reliability of the information accessed and shared by the increasing social media platforms and the increasing social media users has become debatable. In this direction, the aim of the study is to determine the level of trust of university students on the shares produced on social media platforms and their habits of confirming these shares. A total of 481 students, 177 women and 304 men, studying at the Faculty of Sport Sciences constituted the sample of the research. In order to obtain data, the "Social Media Confirmation/Trust Scale" developed by Çömlekçi and Başol (2019) and the personal information form created by the researchers were used. Frequency and percentage analysis were conducted to determine the demographic characteristics of the data collected from the participants via Google Form. Kurtosis and skewness analysis were used to understand whether the scale scores showed a normal distribution, and ttest and ANOVA tests was used to determine the relationship between the variables. When the results were examined, it was concluded that female participants had a higher habit of confirming the information they obtained from social media than male participants. As a result of the answers given by the participants, it was found that individuals who spend less time on social media daily have less confidence in social media. The most frequently used social media platform by the majority of the participants in the study is Instagram. It was concluded that the participants preferred social media platforms instead of internet news sites to be informed about the developments.

This study, it is aimed to examine the attitudes of students in the department of Sports Sciences... more This study, it is aimed to examine the attitudes of students in the department of Sports Sciences towards scientific research according to different variables. In determining the participants, a convenience sampling method, one of the non-random sampling methods were used and the study was conducted with a descriptive scanning model. 341 students (118 female 223 male) educated in the Faculty of Sport Sciences at MSKU the sample of the study. As a data collection tool, the scale of “Attitude towards Scientific Research,” developed by Korkmaz, Şahin, and Yeşil (2011) and “Personal Information Form” was utilized. In the analysis of the obtained data, frequency and percentage analysis were applied to determine the sociodemographic features of participants, t-test and unilateral variance analysis (ANOVA) was applied to find out the difference between the variables and the data obtained from the scale used. In light of the findings obtained from the research, when the gender variable is examined, a statistically significant difference was found in the sub-dimension of “negative attitude towards researches”, there was no difference in age and education type variables. According to the department where the participants study, it has been determined that the students of the department of Recreation are significantly more reluctant to help researchers than the students of the Department of Coaching Education. Also, in the sub-dimension of “positive attitude towards researches”, it has been determined that the students of the department of Recreation had significantly lower average scores compared to all other students. In conclusion, especially for Department of Recreation students, it may be suggested to increase the studies that will provide a positive attitude towards scientific research.

Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi’nde okuyan ve araştırmaya gönüllü olarak dahil olan 349 (118 kadın, 231 erkek) öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Hurt, Joseph ve Cook (1977) tarafından geliştirilen ve Sarıoğlu (2014) tarafından Türkçe’ye uyarlanan “Bireysel Yenilikçilik Ölçeği” ve araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin analizinde, bağımsız gruplar t-testi ve tekyönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) uygulanmıştır. Tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) sonucunda ortaya çıkan istatistiksel farkın hangi gruplardan kaynakladığını belirlemek amacıyla Tukey çoklu karşılaştırma testi uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencilerinin bireysel yenilikçilik düzeylerinin “sorgulayıcı” kategorisinde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, araştırma kapsamında cinsiyet, yaş, öğrenim görülen bölüm ve öğrenim türü değişkenleri değerlendirilmiştir. Brand Management in Football Clubs: Twitter As A Tool For Corporate Communication, 2021
Although football clubs are seen as the names that provide sports services, they are also brands ... more Although football clubs are seen as the names that provide sports services, they are also brands that have commercial activities, have taken place in the markets, and every step they take can easily be on the agenda of the public. There are lots of fans and customers in football clubs. Thus, internal corporate communication of the clubs is important as well as external corporate communication. It was evaluated how clubs use internal and external corporate communication through social media under brand management. In this study, within the framework of the brand management concept, a comparison of the similarities and differences of the football clubs, which form the sample group, on the Twitter account of social media accounts as a corporate communication tool, was made. It was aimed to determine what content the football clubs shared in the Tweets which they shared on their official Twitter account and how much interest the shared Tweets received by the fans of the club or social media users. The data of the study were collected from the official Twitter accounts of the football clubs within the specified intervals within the specified season and off-season period, and categorized and separated by means of MS Excel program. Findings of the study; there are tables which according to the brand features of the content shared from the official Twitter accounts of the football clubs comparing tweet numbers and percentage numbers. A table comparing the number of tweets and percentage slices shared by the teams in the sample group of the Tweets shared in the categories with brand characteristics was compared between the teams. Team fans of the Tweets shared by the teams in the sample group of Tweets shared in categories with brand characteristics are shown in the table. The table also shows how much interaction is received by social media users and the percentile of each category in the total number of interactions is compared. As a result, it was determined that the football clubs included in the research prefer social media practitioners to share predominantly in the Player category during the season and off-season periods, and the followers show the most interaction to these contents.

Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi'nde okuyan ve araştırmaya gönüllü olarak dahil olan 335 (114 kadın, 211 erkek) öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Koç ve Barut (2016) tarafından geliştirilen "Yeni Medya Okuryazarlık Ölçeği" ve araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan "Kişisel Bilgi Formu" kullanılmıştır. Araştırmacılardan elde edilen verilerin analizinde katılımcıların bağımsız gruplar t-testi ve tekyönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) uygulanmıştır. Tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) sonucunda ortaya çıkan istatistiksel farkın hangi gruplardan kaynakladığını belirlemek amacıyla Tukey çoklu karşılaştırma testi uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencilerinin yeni medya okuryazarlık düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, çalışma kapsamında cinsiyet, yaş, öğrenim görülen bölüm, sahip olunan yeni medya sayısı ve sahte medya hesap kullanma durumu değişkenleri değerlendirilmiştir. Yeni medya okuryazarlığının fonksiyonel tüketim, eleştirel tüketim, fonksiyonel üretim, eleştirel üretim alt boyutlarında bu değişkenler üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık oluşturduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Öğrencilerin üniversiteyi tercih etme sebepleri arasında üniversitelerin aktif öğrencilerinin, mezunlarının ve kamuoyunun üzerinde yarattığı olumlu itibar ve algı önemli hale gelmiştir. Bu nedenle nitelikli öğrenciler yetiştirmek ve öğrenciler tarafından çok tercih edilen üniversiteler arasında yer almak için yükseköğretim kurumlarının belirli stratejiler doğrultusunda kurumsal itibar yönetimi konusuna daha fazla önem vermeleri gerekliliği ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu düşünceden hareketle mevcut durumun ortaya çıkarılması ve aktif öğrencilerin düşüncesinin öğrenilmesi atılabilecek ilk adımlar arasındadır. Bu araştırmada bir devlet üniversitesi bünyesinde yer alan ve Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi’nde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin üniversitelerine karşı olan itibar düzeylerinin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmaya 130 kadın ve 174 erkek toplam 304 öğrenci gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Verilerin toplanması sürecinde, Balay, Kaya ve Yıldırım tarafından geliştirilen (2017) “İtibar Yönetimi Ölçeği” (İYÖ) ve araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan, “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak; Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencilerinin öğrenim gördükleri yükseköğretim kurumunun itibarına yönelik algılarında cinsiyet, yaş, bölüm, sınıf değişkenlerinde ölçeğin genelinde veya çeşitli alt boyutlarda istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilirken, sadece öğrenim türü değişkeninde her hangi bir farklılık bulunamamıştır.

Çalışmaya 150 akademisyen gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Bu çalışmada spor bilimleri alanında çalışan akademisyenlerin iş tatmin düzeyleri ve hedef bağlılığı arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi için hazırlanan veriler, "Kişisel Bilgi Formu", Dawis ve ark., (1967) taraflarından 1967 yılında literatüre kazandırılan ve Özdayı'nın (1991) ölçekten uzun formda olan maddelerin iç ve dış tutum faktörlerindeki maddelerle birleştirilerek, 20 maddelik ölçek haline getirilmiş olan Minnesota İş Tatmini ölçeği, Hollenbeck ve ark., (1989) tarafından 9 madde şeklinde geliştirilen, Klein ve ark., (2001) tarafından 5 madde şeklinde yeniden düzenlenen ve Türkçe uyarlaması Şenel ve Yıldız (2016) tarafından yapılan Hedef Bağlılığı ölçeklerinin maddeleri Likert tarafından geliştirilen 5'li Likert tipindeki cevaplama anahtarı ile hazırlanmıştır. Verilerin demografik özelliklerini ortaya çıkarmak için frekans ve yüzde hesaplamaları yapılmıştır. İki değişken arasındaki analiz için bağımsız t test, çoklu değişkenler arasındaki analiz için tek yönlü varyans analizi, değişkenler arasındaki ilişki için Pearson korelasyon testi ve regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında yapılan analizler, hedef bağlılığı ile iş tatmini arasında pozitif yönlü bir ilişki olduğunu, hedef bağlılığının iş tatmin düzeyini artırdığını göstermiştir. Sonuç olarak, spor bilimleri alanında görev yapan akademisyenlerin hedeflerine olan bağlılıkları arttıkça iş tatminlerinin de arttığı, hedef belirlemiş ve bu hedeflere bağlı akademisyenlerin de iş tatminlerinin yüksek olduğu söylenebilir.

It will be important for the clubs to understand this community that is attached blindly and does not stop supporting their team. In this study, the aim was to understand the psychological commitment of the Faculty of Sport Sciences students to the team they support and examine this commitment in terms of different variables. The study group of this research consisted of 446 students, 162 of whom were females and 284 were males, who continue their education at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University the Faculty of Sport Sciences. As data collection tools; the Psychological Commitment to Team (PCT) Scale developed by Mahony et al. (2000) and adapted to Turkish by Eskiler et al. (2011) and the "Personal Information Form" prepared by the researchers to determine the demographic characteristics of the students were used. In the analysis of the obtained data; to determine the socio-demographic characteristics of the participants, frequency and percentage analysis, and to evaluate the psychological commitment of students to their teams according to different variables t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were applied. After oneway analysis of variance(ANOVA), Tukey HSD multiple comparison test was applied to determine from which groups the statistical difference occurred. In statistical analysis and interpretation of the data, p<0.05 significance level was taken into consideration. Taking gender into account, the results of the research showed that male students had higher TPB scores than female ones. In addition, according to the team variable, it was determined that the TPB scores of the students who were fans of Fenerbahçe were significantly higher than the other team fans. According to another result, it was found that the TPB scores of the participants who said that I didn’t buy official products were significantly lower than other fans.

With the World Health Organization making a pandemic decision, significant restrictions (stopping travels, interrupting education, social distance rule, cancellation of crowded organizations etc.) have been implemented in all countries. Considered the nature of the globalizing sports industry, there are relationship-based sports events that bring athletes together; it can be said that fans and media professionals will only serve to increase the potential threat to the spread of the disease. Postponing sports organizations are among these measures. The prolongation of the process caused the sports industry to start to shake economically, as in all sectors. This review study focuses on the effects of postponing or cancellation of large sports organizations due to the Covid-19 pandemic on the sports industry and possible financial consequences, the expectations of sports fans about the conditions that must be created in normalization process to decide participating sports events again even Covid-19 still exists. This study also provides several recommendations to individuals and officials who are in charge of organizing sports events. The fact that sports organizations will be launched within the framework of certain policies and rules will also add extra costs to sports clubs and federations. For this reason, all states should undertake some of the extra burdens on the clubs and federations by providing a little more economic support to the sports industry during this normalization process.

This industrial transformation has made the concepts of consumption and customer gain importance. In today's football industry, the consumer, the fan, has become a client. In the literature, the image of the club is defined as the expression of the general impression of the club supported by the fans. It is stated that football clubs as an institution need to be perceived correctly by the target audience to survive, so the image of football clubs is important at this point. From this point of view, the research aims to examine the image perceptions of football fans about the club they support. The sample of the study consists of 182 (56 females, 126 males) students from the Faculty of Sport Sciences who volunteered to participate in the study. As the data collection tool, Club Image Scale (KIMJÖ) which was developed by Jung (2012), adapted to Turkish by Sönmezoğlu, Çoknaz, and Polat (2016) and used to evaluate the image of sports spectators about sports clubs and personal information form created by the authors were used. To determine the socio-demographic characteristics of the participants, frequency and percentage analysis were used while t-test and univariate analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to determine the image perceptions of the students of the Faculty of Sport Sciences. Tukey HSD multiple comparison tests were applied to determine the groups from which statistical difference arose in one-way ANOVA. In the statistical analysis and interpretation of the data, a p <0.05 significance level was taken into consideration. As a result, the more positive the image perceptions of the fans about the club, the higher the frequency of purchasing. Also, the frequency of fans who have high image perception towards their club is increasing.

Enterprises that can achieve this will have a positive effect on customer satisfaction and will be able to sustain their existence and allow their businesses to grow. The problem statement of the research is "Is there a relationship between perceived service quality and customer satisfaction in sports businesses?". In this direction, the research aims to examine the relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction in enterprises in terms of different demographic variables. The population of the study consisted of 885 members who receive active service in Mugla Culture Art Sports Center and Trade LLC sports enterprises. The sample consisted of 375 people over the age of 18, 123 of whom were female and 252 of whom were male. To collect the data needed for the research, the personal information form prepared by the researchers, the Sports Facilities Customer Satisfaction Scale (SFCSS) developed by Yıldırım (2017), and the Fitness Centers Service Quality Scale (FCSQS) developed by Sevilmiş (2019) was used. The data were collected a face-to-face questionnaire technique. SPSS 26.0 package program was used to analyze the collected data. Frequency and percentage analyses were used to determine the demographic structure of the data. A T-test was used to investigate the relationship between two independent variables and a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to examine the relationship between three or more variables. Statistical analyses were interpreted based on a p<0.05 significance level. The results of the analyses showed that the Cronbach Alpha values of the scales and sub-dimensions were highly reliable. The findings revealed a strong and positive relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction (r=0.613, p<0.01). This means that customer satisfaction increases with the increase in service quality in sports facilities.
In this study, it was aimed to examine whether the academic goal orientation levels of the studen... more In this study, it was aimed to examine whether the academic goal orientation levels of the students of the Faculty of Sport Sciences have an effect on their career goal discrepancy levels. A total of 303 voluntary undergraduate students (131 female and 172 male) studying at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Faculty of Sport Sciences in the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year participated in the study. The study included the “Demographic Information Form” created by the researchers; the “Academic Goal Orientation Scale” developed by VandeWalle, Cron, and Slocum (2001) and adapted into Turkish by Fındıkoğlu and Gürol (2021); and the “Career Goal Discrepancy Scale” developed by Creed and Hood (2015) and validity and reliability study in Turkish by Yam, Alkın, and Barut (2020). SPSS 22.0 program was used to analyze the data obtained in the study. Frequency and percentage analysis, kurtosis and skewness analysis, t-test analysis, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) test and correlation analysis were performed. As a result of the study, it was determined that the academic goal orientation levels of undergraduate students studying at the Faculty of Sport Sciences had a significant negative relationship with career goal discrepancy levels. In addition, it was concluded that there was a significant positive relationship between the academic goal orientation levels of the students and their grade point averages. Significant differences were found in all scales and sub-dimensions except for the avoidance subdimension in the gender variable; significant differences were found in the proving and avoidance subdimensions in the age and department variables; and significant differences were found in the grade point average variable in the AGOS and learning sub-dimension. No significant difference was found in the class variable.

Additionally, focusing on how holacracy can be applied in the field of sports management, the potential implications of this model for sports organizations are discussed. The Holacracy model supports a participatory leadership approach, allowing employees to take more responsibility and take initiative. The advantages of holacracy include the ability to adapt quickly, the promotion of innovation, and more efficient management of business processes. However, this model also has disadvantages, in particular the need to deal with challenges such as increased uncertainty and complexity. The research reflects real-world applications of holacracy, supported by examples from organizations that have adopted this model. The applicability of holacracy to sports management is an important question mark given the fastchanging nature and complex structures of the sports industry. Especially in sports organizations, holacracy can be effective in performance management and focusing on strategic goals. In conclusion, the research highlights the strategic importance of the holacracy model on sports organizations and provides a guideline for understanding the potential of holacracy in the sports industry. However, it should be noted that studies on the applicability of holacracy in sport management are limited and its suitability to the specific needs of the sport industry has not been addressed in detail. Therefore, future research should focus more on the effectiveness of holacracy in sports management and conduct in-depth investigations on how this model can be adapted to the specific needs of sports organizations.
Moral disengagement in sports refers to the psychological process through which individuals dista... more Moral disengagement in sports refers to the psychological process through which individuals distance themselves from the ethical implications of their actions within the sporting context. This study aims to examine the role of religious commitment between personality traits and moral disengagement and investigate the role of prosocial and antisocial behaviours and moral identity. Student-athletes were recruited from individual and team sports, including football, basketball, handball, volleyball, wrestling, combat sports, swimming, track and field, cycling, badminton, and futsal. We hypothesised that extrovert personality traits directly predict moral identity, religious commitment, and prosocial/antisocial behaviours. Extraversion predicted moral disengagement with the mediation roles of internalisation, symbolisation, religious commitment, and pro- and antisocial behaviours. Our findings provide insights into the complex relationships between personality traits, internalisation, symbolisation, religious commitment, social behaviours, and their impact on moral disengagement. They highlight the importance of considering internalisation, symbolisation, and religious commitment mediating roles in understanding the relationships between extraversion, social behaviours, and moral disengagement. Understanding the complex relationship among these factors can inform the development of tailored interventions that address individual athletes’ needs and characteristics. Our study contributes to the growing body of literature on the psychological underpinnings of ethical behaviour in sports. By elucidating the roles of extraversion, moral identity, religious commitment, and social behaviours in moral disengagement, this research provides a more nuanced understanding of the factors influencing ethical decision-making and behaviour in student-athletes.

The population of the study consisted of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Faculty of Sport Sciences students. The sample consisted of 261 students (Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Coaching Education, Sports Management and Recreation), 102 of whom were female and 159 of whom were male, selected from all departments by random sampling method. As data collection tools in the study, personal information form prepared by the researchers (age, gender, department, grade, monthly personal income and employment status), "Leisure Time Interest Scale" developed by Kyle et al. (2007) to determine students' leisure time interest levels and "Life Satisfaction Scale" developed by Diener et al. (1985) to determine students' life satisfaction levels were used. To determine the demographic characteristics of the data, frequency and percentage analysis, kurtosis and skewness analyses to determine whether the scale scores are normally distributed, t-test and ANOVA tests to determine the relationship between the independent variable of the study, leisure time interest, and the dependent variable, life satisfaction, and Pearson correlation test to determine the relationship between the two variables. As a result of the research, it was found that the leisure time interests of the students of the Faculty of Sport Sciences affect their life satisfaction and there is a significant positive relationship between them.

The training of athletes by coaches with unethical behaviors is a situation that may damage the concept and understanding of ethics in sports. The aim of the study is to examine the attitudes and behaviors of football coaches towards professional ethics and to provide the results of the study with recommendations and literature. The population of the study consists of individuals who have a football coaching certificate in Muğla province, and the sample consists of football coaches who have a coaching certificate and are actively working or not working. In order to collect data for the study, the personal information form prepared by the researchers and the "Coaches' Professional Ethical Behaviors Scale" developed by Kayır and Özbek (2019) were used to measure the attitudes and behaviors of coaches towards the concept of ethics. 115 football coaches voluntarily participated in the study. Kurtosis and skewness analysis, Kruskal Wallis-H test and Mann-Whitney U test were used to analyze the data. As a result of the analysis, a significant difference was found in favor of female coaches in terms of gender variable. No significant difference was found in terms of age, education level, coaching level, coaching period and organization of coaching.

After the creation of the necessary infrastructure, individuals can access the information they aim to reach at any time and place, regardless of time and place, through e-learning. In order to achieve the desired efficiency, it is important to examine the students' wishes and desires that enable them to participate in the learning environment with scientific studies and to bring the results to the literature. Based on this idea, the aim of the study is to examine the e-learning attitude levels of students who actively continue their education in the field of Sports Sciences in terms of different variables. Within the scope of the research, a total of 346 students, 115 female and 231 male, who continue their active education life in all departments of MSKU Sports Sciences Faculty, represented the sample of the study. In order to collect data in the study, a descriptive information form created by the researchers and the E-Learning Attitude Scale developed by Yarayan, Fakazlı and İlhan (2022): University Students Form (ELAAS) developed by Yarayan, Fakazlı, and İlhan (2022) was used. As a result of the research, a significant difference was found between students' elearning attitudes in terms of gender variable. According to the results, students' e-learning attitude levels are low. When other results were examined, while a significant difference was found in terms of gender variable, no significant difference was found in terms of age, department, grade, GPA and the tool used in distance education variables.

The concept of the workforce emerged with the industrial revolution, has transformed into differe... more The concept of the workforce emerged with the industrial revolution, has transformed into different concepts over time, and has emerged as the concept of human resources. It has been seen that the human element is of great importance in all areas of life and has become an indispensable element in management processes. The human factor, which directly affects organizations and their goals and productivity, is also a common subject in scientific studies. In this direction, it aims to examine the postgraduate theses published on "human resources in sports" between 2001-2021 by using the bibliometric analysis method within the scope of the study. Theses carried out at the master's, and doctorate levels in the National Thesis Center affiliated with the Council of Higher Education were included in the bibliometric analysis. "Sports and Workforce," "Sports and Employees," "Sports and Manpower," "Sports and Employees," "Sports and Personnel," "Sports and Human Resources," "Sports and Strategic Human Resources," and "Sports and A total of 85 theses, which are limited to the concepts of "Intellectual Capital" and which are open access, have been examined. The types of postgraduate theses, the years they were published, universities, departments, advisor titles, number of pages, research models, data collection tools, data sources, and language were examined, and bibliometric analysis was carried out. In line with the results obtained in the study, postgraduate theses published on human resources in sports were generally written at the graduate level. The theses, the number of which has increased over the years, were published between 2019-2021 at most. Most theses on human resources in sports were carried out at Fırat University, and most theses as a department were published in the Department of Physical Education and Sports. These are written mainly by Dr. Instructor. It has emerged as a result of the consultancy of its members. The questionnaire technique was also used as a data collection tool in theses which primarily used a quantitative research model. The source languages of the theses written in the 51-100 page range are mostly Turkish sources. In line with these results, the current situation for the work on human resources in sports has been revealed.

The descriptive survey model was preferred in the study, in which the quantitative research method was used. The universe of the research consists of football fans in Turkey. A total of 863 football fans, including 326 women and 537 men, included in the study with the convenience sampling method, constitute the sample group of the research. To obtain data, the "Respect for Opposite Approach and Audit Scale of Self-Control at The Sport" developed by Gülle (2018) and the personal information form created by the researchers were used. Frequency and percentage analyses were conducted to determine the demographic characteristics of the data collected from the fans via Google Form. Kurtosis and skewness analysis were used to understand whether the scale scores showed a normal distribution, and t-test and ANOVA tests were used to determine the relationship between the variables. As a result, there was a significant difference between the two subdimensions of respect and hate, which are the two sub-dimensions of respect for opposite approaches and audit scale of selfcontrol at the sport, and the variables of gender, age, marital status, education level, profession, being a member of a fan group, following the team's social media account and being affected by social media posts. There was also a significant difference between the football fan identification scale and the gender and sports branch variables. In addition, a significant difference was found in the variable of following the matches from the stands in the sub-dimension of hatred towards the opponent. As a result, it can be said that the increase in the level of identification of the fans with their teams causes a decrease in the respect for individuals with opposing views.
The study aims to examine the financial behaviors and attitudes of the students studying in the D... more The study aims to examine the financial behaviors and attitudes of the students studying in the Department of Sports Management. Among the 395 students, the sample of the study consisted of 276 students, 98 females and 178 males, who were studying at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Faculty of Sports Sciences, Department of Sports Management in 2021-2022. The data were collected with the descriptive information form prepared by the researchers and the Financial Literacy Attitude and Behavior Scale (FLABS) developed by Sarıgül (2015). While statistically significant differences were found in the variables of gender, class, family monthly income, and following the daily economic and financial news, no significant difference was found in the variables of age, GPA, type of education, individual monthly income, and having received education in economics or finance. The results showed that women are better financially literate than men. Furthermore, it has been found that those who currently follow financial developments have higher averages than those who do not. In addition, according to the results obtained, it has been found that individuals with lower monthly family income have a higher average of financial literacy than individuals with higher monthly family income.

The reliability of the information accessed and shared by the increasing social media platforms and the increasing social media users has become debatable. In this direction, the aim of the study is to determine the level of trust of university students on the shares produced on social media platforms and their habits of confirming these shares. A total of 481 students, 177 women and 304 men, studying at the Faculty of Sport Sciences constituted the sample of the research. In order to obtain data, the "Social Media Confirmation/Trust Scale" developed by Çömlekçi and Başol (2019) and the personal information form created by the researchers were used. Frequency and percentage analysis were conducted to determine the demographic characteristics of the data collected from the participants via Google Form. Kurtosis and skewness analysis were used to understand whether the scale scores showed a normal distribution, and ttest and ANOVA tests was used to determine the relationship between the variables. When the results were examined, it was concluded that female participants had a higher habit of confirming the information they obtained from social media than male participants. As a result of the answers given by the participants, it was found that individuals who spend less time on social media daily have less confidence in social media. The most frequently used social media platform by the majority of the participants in the study is Instagram. It was concluded that the participants preferred social media platforms instead of internet news sites to be informed about the developments.

This study, it is aimed to examine the attitudes of students in the department of Sports Sciences... more This study, it is aimed to examine the attitudes of students in the department of Sports Sciences towards scientific research according to different variables. In determining the participants, a convenience sampling method, one of the non-random sampling methods were used and the study was conducted with a descriptive scanning model. 341 students (118 female 223 male) educated in the Faculty of Sport Sciences at MSKU the sample of the study. As a data collection tool, the scale of “Attitude towards Scientific Research,” developed by Korkmaz, Şahin, and Yeşil (2011) and “Personal Information Form” was utilized. In the analysis of the obtained data, frequency and percentage analysis were applied to determine the sociodemographic features of participants, t-test and unilateral variance analysis (ANOVA) was applied to find out the difference between the variables and the data obtained from the scale used. In light of the findings obtained from the research, when the gender variable is examined, a statistically significant difference was found in the sub-dimension of “negative attitude towards researches”, there was no difference in age and education type variables. According to the department where the participants study, it has been determined that the students of the department of Recreation are significantly more reluctant to help researchers than the students of the Department of Coaching Education. Also, in the sub-dimension of “positive attitude towards researches”, it has been determined that the students of the department of Recreation had significantly lower average scores compared to all other students. In conclusion, especially for Department of Recreation students, it may be suggested to increase the studies that will provide a positive attitude towards scientific research.

Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi’nde okuyan ve araştırmaya gönüllü olarak dahil olan 349 (118 kadın, 231 erkek) öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin analizinde, bağımsız gruplar t-testi ve tekyönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) uygulanmıştır. Tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) sonucunda ortaya çıkan istatistiksel farkın hangi gruplardan kaynakladığını belirlemek amacıyla Tukey çoklu karşılaştırma testi uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencilerinin bireysel yenilikçilik düzeylerinin “sorgulayıcı” kategorisinde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, araştırma kapsamında cinsiyet, yaş, öğrenim görülen bölüm ve öğrenim türü değişkenleri değerlendirilmiştir. Katılımcıların bireysel yenilikçilik düzeylerinde bölüm değişkeninde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık oluşturduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Although football clubs are seen as the names that provide sports services, they are also brands ... more Although football clubs are seen as the names that provide sports services, they are also brands that have commercial activities, have taken place in the markets, and every step they take can easily be on the agenda of the public. There are lots of fans and customers in football clubs. Thus, internal corporate communication of the clubs is important as well as external corporate communication. It was evaluated how clubs use internal and external corporate communication through social media under brand management. In this study, within the framework of the brand management concept, a comparison of the similarities and differences of the football clubs, which form the sample group, on the Twitter account of social media accounts as a corporate communication tool, was made. It was aimed to determine what content the football clubs shared in the Tweets which they shared on their official Twitter account and how much interest the shared Tweets received by the fans of the club or social media users. The data of the study were collected from the official Twitter accounts of the football clubs within the specified intervals within the specified season and off-season period, and categorized and separated by means of MS Excel program. Findings of the study; there are tables which according to the brand features of the content shared from the official Twitter accounts of the football clubs comparing tweet numbers and percentage numbers. A table comparing the number of tweets and percentage slices shared by the teams in the sample group of the Tweets shared in the categories with brand characteristics was compared between the teams. Team fans of the Tweets shared by the teams in the sample group of Tweets shared in categories with brand characteristics are shown in the table. The table also shows how much interaction is received by social media users and the percentile of each category in the total number of interactions is compared. As a result, it was determined that the football clubs included in the research prefer social media practitioners to share predominantly in the Player category during the season and off-season periods, and the followers show the most interaction to these contents.

Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi'nde okuyan ve araştırmaya gönüllü olarak dahil olan 335 (114 kadın, 211 erkek) öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Koç ve Barut (2016) tarafından geliştirilen "Yeni Medya Okuryazarlık Ölçeği" ve araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan "Kişisel Bilgi Formu" kullanılmıştır. Araştırmacılardan elde edilen verilerin analizinde katılımcıların bağımsız gruplar t-testi ve tekyönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) uygulanmıştır. Yükseköğretim kurumlarının sayısının artması ve öğrenci sayılarındaki artış ile birlikte öğrencil... more Yükseköğretim kurumlarının sayısının artması ve öğrenci sayılarındaki artış ile birlikte öğrencilerin ulusal ya da uluslararası tercih edecekleri üniversite seçenekleri de artmaktadır. Öğrencilerin üniversiteyi tercih etme sebepleri arasında üniversitelerin aktif öğrencilerinin, mezunlarının ve kamuoyunun üzerinde yarattığı olumlu itibar ve algı önemli hale gelmiştir. Bu nedenle nitelikli öğrenciler yetiştirmek ve öğrenciler tarafından çok tercih edilen üniversiteler arasında yer almak için yükseköğretim kurumlarının belirli stratejiler doğrultusunda kurumsal itibar yönetimi konusuna daha fazla önem vermeleri gerekliliği ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu düşünceden hareketle mevcut durumun ortaya çıkarılması ve aktif öğrencilerin düşüncesinin öğrenilmesi atılabilecek ilk adımlar arasındadır. Bu araştırmada bir devlet üniversitesi bünyesinde yer alan ve Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi’nde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin üniversitelerine karşı olan itibar düzeylerinin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmaya 130 kadın ve 174 erkek toplam 304 öğrenci gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Verilerin toplanması sürecinde, Balay, Kaya ve Yıldırım tarafından geliştirilen (2017) “İtibar Yönetimi Ölçeği” (İYÖ) ve araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan, “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde; katılımcıların sosyo-demografik özelliklerini belirlemek için frekans ve yüzde analizi, Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencilerinin kurumsal itibar yönetimine yönelik algılarını öğrenmek amacıyla t-testi ve tekyönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) uygulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak; Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencilerinin öğrenim gördükleri yükseköğretim kurumunun itibarına yönelik algılarında cinsiyet, yaş, bölüm, sınıf değişkenlerinde ölçeğin genelinde veya çeşitli alt boyutlarda istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilirken, sadece öğrenim türü değişkeninde her hangi bir farklılık bulunamamıştır.

Çalışmaya 150 akademisyen gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Bu çalışmada spor bilimleri alanında çalışan akademisyenlerin iş tatmin düzeyleri ve hedef bağlılığı arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi için hazırlanan veriler, "Kişisel Bilgi Formu", Dawis ve ark., (1967) taraflarından 1967 yılında literatüre kazandırılan ve Özdayı'nın (1991) ölçekten uzun formda olan maddelerin iç ve dış tutum faktörlerindeki maddelerle birleştirilerek, 20 maddelik ölçek haline getirilmiş olan Minnesota İş Tatmini ölçeği, Hollenbeck ve ark., (1989) tarafından 9 madde şeklinde geliştirilen, Klein ve ark., (2001) tarafından 5 madde şeklinde yeniden düzenlenen ve Türkçe uyarlaması Şenel ve Yıldız (2016) tarafından yapılan Hedef Bağlılığı ölçeklerinin maddeleri Likert tarafından geliştirilen 5'li Likert tipindeki cevaplama anahtarı ile hazırlanmıştır. Verilerin demografik özelliklerini ortaya çıkarmak için frekans ve yüzde hesaplamaları yapılmıştır. İki değişken arasındaki analiz için bağımsız t test, çoklu değişkenler arasındaki analiz için tek yönlü varyans analizi, değişkenler arasındaki ilişki için Pearson korelasyon testi ve regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında yapılan analizler, hedef bağlılığı ile iş tatmini arasında pozitif yönlü bir ilişki olduğunu, hedef bağlılığının iş tatmin düzeyini artırdığını göstermiştir. Sonuç olarak, spor bilimleri alanında görev yapan akademisyenlerin hedeflerine olan bağlılıkları arttıkça iş tatminlerinin de arttığı, hedef belirlemiş ve bu hedeflere bağlı akademisyenlerin de iş tatminlerinin yüksek olduğu söylenebilir.

It will be important for the clubs to understand this community that is attached blindly and does not stop supporting their team. In this study, the aim was to understand the psychological commitment of the Faculty of Sport Sciences students to the team they support and examine this commitment in terms of different variables. The study group of this research consisted of 446 students, 162 of whom were females and 284 were males, who continue their education at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University the Faculty of Sport Sciences. As data collection tools; the Psychological Commitment to Team (PCT) Scale developed by Mahony et al. (2000) and adapted to Turkish by Eskiler et al. (2011) and the "Personal Information Form" prepared by the researchers to determine the demographic characteristics of the students were used. In the analysis of the obtained data; to determine the socio-demographic characteristics of the participants, frequency and percentage analysis, and to evaluate the psychological commitment of students to their teams according to different variables t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were applied. After oneway analysis of variance(ANOVA), Tukey HSD multiple comparison test was applied to determine from which groups the statistical difference occurred. In statistical analysis and interpretation of the data, p<0.05 significance level was taken into consideration. Taking gender into account, the results of the research showed that male students had higher TPB scores than female ones. In addition, according to the team variable, it was determined that the TPB scores of the students who were fans of Fenerbahçe were significantly higher than the other team fans. According to another result, it was found that the TPB scores of the participants who said that I didn’t buy official products were significantly lower than other fans.

The coronavirus, which started to be mentioned in the last days of 2019, spread rapidly all over ... more The coronavirus, which started to be mentioned in the last days of 2019, spread rapidly all over the world at the beginning of 2020 and caused the death of more than 600 thousand people in parallel with the increase in the number of cases. With the World Health Organization making a pandemic decision, significant restrictions (stopping travels, interrupting education, social distance rule, cancellation of crowded organizations etc.) have been implemented in all countries. Considered the nature of the globalizing sports industry, there are relationship-based sports events that bring athletes together; it can be said that fans and media professionals will only serve to increase the potential threat to the spread of the disease. Postponing sports organizations are among these measures. The prolongation of the process caused the sports industry to start to shake economically, as in all sectors. This review study focuses on the effects of postponing or cancellation of large sports organizations due to the Covid-19 pandemic on the sports industry and possible financial consequences, the expectations of sports fans about the conditions that must be created in normalization process to decide participating sports events again even Covid-19 still exists. This study also provides several recommendations to individuals and officials who are in charge of organizing sports events. The fact that sports organizations will be launched within the framework of certain policies and rules will also add extra costs to sports clubs and federations. For this reason, all states should undertake some of the extra burdens on the clubs and federations by providing a little more economic support to the sports industry during this normalization process.

This industrial transformation has made the concepts of consumption and customer gain importance. In today's football industry, the consumer, the fan, has become a client. In the literature, the image of the club is defined as the expression of the general impression of the club supported by the fans. It is stated that football clubs as an institution need to be perceived correctly by the target audience to survive, so the image of football clubs is important at this point. From this point of view, the research aims to examine the image perceptions of football fans about the club they support. The sample of the study consists of 182 (56 females, 126 males) students from the Faculty of Sport Sciences who volunteered to participate in the study. As the data collection tool, Club Image Scale (KIMJÖ) which was developed by Jung (2012), adapted to Turkish by Sönmezoğlu, Çoknaz, and Polat (2016) and used to evaluate the image of sports spectators about sports clubs and personal information form created by the authors were used. To determine the socio-demographic characteristics of the participants, frequency and percentage analysis were used while t-test and univariate analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to determine the image perceptions of the students of the Faculty of Sport Sciences. Tukey HSD multiple comparison tests were applied to determine the groups from which statistical difference arose in one-way ANOVA. In the statistical analysis and interpretation of the data, a p <0.05 significance level was taken into consideration. As a result, the more positive the image perceptions of the fans about the club, the higher the frequency of purchasing. Also, the frequency of fans who have high image perception towards their club is increasing.

Kitabın amacı; çok sayıda taraftar/müşterisi olan, çeşitli gelir kaynaklarına sahip ve ticari değer yaratan, görsel ve yazılı basının her an haber konusu olan spor kulüplerinin halkla ilişkiler faaliyetlerinin çatısı altında kurumsal iletişim aracı olarak yeni medyayı kullanım biçimlerinin değerlendirilmesidir. Araştırma iki kısımdan oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın iki kısımdan oluşmasının nedeni, birinci kısımda sosyal ağlarla neyin nasıl aktarıldığını ele almak, ikinci kısımda ise spor kulüplerinin, kurumsal iletişim uzmanlarıyla yapılan görüşmelerle bu ağlarda neleri amaçladıklarını ve neler yaptıklarını ortaya koymaktır. Ayrıca LinkedIn hesaplarının kulüplerde insan kaynakları bölümünün kontrolünde yönetildiği tespit edilmiştir. Spor kulüplerinin kurumsal iletişim uygulayıcılarıyla gerçekleştirilen görüşmeler sonucunda yeni medya hesaplarının pazarlama bölümüyle omuz omuza yönetildiği ve çoğu stratejinin birlikte belirlendiği görülmüştür.
