There exists an inequitable binary structure between the two polar values, as human society often exploits and degrades the environment, and women are undermined in various occasions. The role of women is undermined in environmental management and monitoring. Our strategy in dealing with this issue of negligence would be to expose the misconception that women have little or nothing to contribute in environmental management beside biological reproductive roles, and activities such as cooking, washing, fetching firewood and nursing of children. We will also show the negative impacts of these forcefully assigned female duties on the climate, and how this leads to pollution, which in turn, obstructs the biospheres (plant and animal species). Using the principle of complementarity, the paper insists on the need to eradicate all socio-culturally perceived superlative attributes of distinction between human society and environment or masculinity and femininity. The paper calls for mainstreaming of gender perspective, expansion of women's opportunities and participation in environmental management, at all levels, for environmental sustainability.

Ultimately, it argues that pornography and obscenity are two sides of a coin and are morally questionable. Their effects, no matter from what angle they may be approached, are very detrimental to the society, especially to the growing child. Hence, it should be prohibited.

The study emanates from the contentions of leaders of states, who, instead of promoting the ideals and values which promote social and political-coexistence, limit and conceal their views of leadership to some tribalistic, ethnocentric and self-serving idols, and by so doing, they cause a monumental harm to the polity. This is so, because, whether the concealment of Asouzu or the idols of Bacon, the argument is that, in both ways and views, it is an attempt to hide, hoard, prevent and distort reality, truth and knowledge which the effect remains the negativity and failure of a growing system. This paper seeks to argue that the prevailing existence and careful articulation of the notion of concealment and idols in the leadership structuring and engineering without conscious effort of extricating them has negatively affected socio-political, religious, cultural and economic growth and development of the Nigerian state. The paper further argues that proper and careful elimination of the idol of concealment as propagated by Asouzu and Francis Bacon’s four known cardinal idols in the socio-political leadership of Nigeria would be a proper foundation for peaceful, economic, social and political co-existence. This paper adopts a critical, conceptual and analytical method in driving home its argument. Keywords: concealment, idols, leadership

How does the object of belief impact individuals’ lives, choices, decisions, and what they become in the future? The character of religion is binding, and the object of belief in a being – transcendent or immanent as the sole determinant of the fate and destiny of individuals leaves room for many questions that border on freedom and responsibility. By introducing Onyenachiya to the discussion of the phenomenon of religion from an African philosophical approach to religion, the authors argue that there is a certain threshold of self-evaluation and relationship between a person and their object of belief which is significantly cooperative and collaborative. Although onyenachiya, a concept that stems from an African epistemic context (Igbo), has no corresponding English translation, it is a contraction of two independent words, onye (person, giver, who) and chi (pe...
