Intermediate LSJの「ἀποθνήσκω」
Intermediateには-ῃσκに終わる-ισκ幹動詞に下書きのイオタが無いと言う話を聞いたので、実際に買ってἀποθνῄσκωを引いてみた。
本当に無かった。
これはLSJ第7版を基にしているらしいので、archive.orgでLSJ第7版を見てみたが、こちらにも無かった。
LSJ第7版の項にはIG、即Inscriptiones Graecaeが参照されていないので、その後に碑文の研究からιの存在が知られたのだと言う事だろう。

追記
記事題名と本文中のLSJをLSに修正しようと思ったものの、TLGに「Intermediate LSJ」等の表記が見られ、LSJがLiddelとScottのみのGreek–English Lexiconの略称として用いられている様なので、語順を変えるのみとした。
