However, research reveals that enterprise-wide adoption is a challenge for businesses. Research indicates that culture is one of the impediments to enterprise-wide adoption. Thus, a deeper understanding of the cultural influence on organizational readiness will help organizations plan more effectively. Schwartz's cultural framework was used in a quantitative study to investigate the intention to use ESM at various levels in multiple countries. The participants' responses were analyzed using structural equation modeling, including multiple group analysis. The test results suggest significant effects of autonomy and egalitarianism on individuals' intention to adopt ESM. However, contrary to previous research, the effects of egalitarianism were found to be negative. This study emphasizes the importance of cultural values in shaping individuals' intentions to use ESM, which contributes to organizational readiness for ESM adoption. The findings of this study provide organizations with awareness of cultural influences on intention to use ESM and can help organizations identify potential barriers to ESM adoption readiness.

This research focuses on the use and acceptance of NFC-enabled proximity mobile payment (m-payment). This research builds on previous research highlighting the various factors influencing the use and acceptance of m-payment through the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Diffusion of Innovation of (DoI). The results indicate a statistically significant relationship between compatibility, personal innovativeness, and behavioural intention to use m-payment. The findings of this study confirm the influence of external factors, i.e., compatibility and personal innovativeness, determines the end-users’ perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of m-payment which subsequently determines their attitude towards using m-payment and the intention to use m-payment.

In addition to meeting the degree requirements, the completion of degree apprenticeships requires passing a work-based end-point assessment (EPA). EPAs often include a capstone project that is equivalent to a project or dissertation and plays a crucial role in degree apprenticeships, but their execution is not without its problems. This paper identifies common challenges for EPA projects, including academia-business goal misalignment, external factors, confidentiality and commercial sensitivity, and gaps between expectations and experience. Consequently, a set of recommendations is proposed to mitigate the identified challenges.

Whilst the effectiveness of TikTok to increase learner engagement has been demonstrated, there was little evidence indicating the effectiveness of TikTok on actual learner performance through formal graded assessments. This study is one of the first attempts to investigate the effects of TikTok as a learning tool on learner performance. The findings from a controlled experiment indicate that TikTok had a beneficial impact on the learner's performance as well as self-perceived engagement in an introductory statistics course.

Reductionism has been applied to education as a way to break down large concepts into smaller and more manageable components, effectively into bite-sized learning. TikTok is one of the most popular social media platforms and can provide a familiar learning environment for students. This project aims to investigate the feasibility of the reductionist approach to learning statistics using TikTok. Five TikTok videos were created and shown to a group of undergraduate students in a US university. An online survey was conducted to collect the students' perceptions after viewing the TikTok videos. The preliminary findings show that TikTok videos have positive impacts on student learning through increased interest in the subjects and willingness to apply the learnt knowledge.

They also acknowledge that sustainability is becoming an essential ingredient for long term economic success. There does, however, remain the key question, what exactly is sustainability and how best to integrate it into the organisational practices, particularly the project environment. This paper pursues the premise that sustainability is strategic and distinct from functional and tactical project management processes. Integrating the principles of sustainability into project management should, therefore, deliver limited outcomes or lack a comprehensive solution that is flexible and adaptable to different business models, functions and situations. Project portfolio management (PPM) on the other hand has a much wider application and perspective. It bridges project management with the overall organisational strategy, goals and objectives. Not only is PPM strategic but it is a continuous process, unfettered by the limitations of individual projects or programmes. This research, therefore, proposes a conceptual framework that incorporates the principles of sustainability in PPM that is unrestricted by industry, allows prudence in resource management, stakeholder management, and validates transparency and accountability. This implies that PPM should extend beyond its current confines of selection and management of the project portfolio to include processes leading to corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting and influences development of best practices which can then be recycled into improving project management and delivering sustainable outcomes.

However, research shows that organizations struggle with enterprise-wide adoption. Research also indicates that one of the factors impeding adoption is organizational culture. It is essential to further understand the cultural dimensions that contribute to readiness for ESM because such understanding could help organizations better prepare for ESM adoption. This paper, therefore, compares two of the most prominent cultural studies, Hofstede's and Schwartz's cultural frameworks, within the context of ESM.

Despite the popularity in developed countries, digital technology adoption amongst SMEs in developing countries, e.g. Nigeria, is still relatively low. Such low adoption hinders the digital transformation of SMEs in the developing countries, and the low level of adoption is often the result of the low level of digital business readiness. Therefore, this paper proposes the digital business readiness assessment framework (

There are various sources of stress that could impact an individual. Whether it is personal relationships, physical health concerns, mental health issues or professional relationships at work, an individual's productivity will be affected. Employees who work in a project environment have already succumbed to the constraints of time and budget. The topic of employee wellbeing is under research for several years, and there are several solutions available and initiatives implemented within global organizations to enhance their team's wellbeing. Therefore, there is a need for a project management framework that also takes employee wellbeing into consideration. This paper reviews the literature on employee wellbeing and some of the most commonly applied project management frameworks, namely Project Management Institute (PMI), the Association of Project Management (APM) and PRojects IN Controlled Environments (PRINCE2). As a result, a practical guideline is proposed to embed employee wellbeing into the project management book of knowledge (PMBOK Guide) of PMI, incorporating three key processes and supporting tools and techniques.

This research focuses on the multi-cultural use and acceptance of proximity mobile payment (m-payment) which is more prevalent in some countries than other countries. Previous analysis of m-payment adoption extended the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to include external factors of use and acceptance identified through Organisational Semiotics (OS). This paper presents the development of constructs and measurements based on the identified requirements for m-payment adoption. It also presents the exploratory study results to validate the salient factors. This study furthers m-payment research by addressing the technical and social aspects via TAM and OS, as well as identifying empirical factors to increase m-payment adoption in multi-cultural context.

Organizational semiotics views norms as knowledge that are developed through practical experience of human agents in organizations. Building on organizational semiotics and knowledge management, this paper proposes a three dimensional norm-based knowledge management (3DNKM) framework for legal sector in the UK. Abductive reasoning is adopted for guiding the research process in this paper. The three identified contextual dimensions of knowledge include customer, practice area and lawyer. For each dimension, there are informal, formal and technical norms establishing context-based knowledge. The proposed framework provides a way for KIBS organizations to manage the intertwined norms from the three dimensions and various levels.

However, the majority of the stakeholder identification and analysis methods focus on the activities and processes and ignore the artefacts being processed by human beings. By focusing on the outputs of the organisation, an artefact-centric view helps create a network of artefacts, and a component-based structure of the organisation and its supply chain participants. Since the relationship is based on the components, i.e. after the stakeholders are identified, the interdependency between stakeholders and the focal organisation can be measured. Each stakeholder is associated with two types of dependency, namely the stakeholder’s dependency on the focal organisation and the focal organisation’s dependency on the stakeholder. We identify three factors for each type of dependency and propose the equations that calculate the dependency indexes. Once both types of the dependency indexes are calculated, each stakeholder can be placed and categorised into one of the four groups, namely critical stakeholder, mutual benefits stakeholder, replaceable stakeholder, and easy care stakeholder. The mutual dependency grid and the dependency gap analysis, which further investigates the priority of each stakeholder by calculating the weighted dependency gap between the focal organisation and the stakeholder, subsequently help the focal organisation to better understand its stakeholders and manage its stakeholder relationships.
