William H. Daniels (Cleveland, 1 december 1901 – Los Angeles, 14 juni 1970) was een Amerikaans cameraman.

Loopbaan

William H. Daniels werd geboren in Cleveland in Ohio. Zijn carrière als cameraman omspande vijf decennia. Ze begon met de stomme film Foolish Wives (1922) en eindigde met de filmkomedie Move (1970). In het begin van zijn loopbaan werkte hij regelmatig samen met de regisseur Erich von Stroheim. Hij gold lang als de "cameraman van Greta Garbo". Tijdens zijn loopbaan werd Daniels vier keer genomineerd voor de Oscar voor beste camerawerk. Hij won de prijs ook daadwerkelijk voor de misdaadfilm The Naked City (1948). Van 1961 tot 1963 was Daniels voorzitter van de American Society of Cinematographers.
