The aim and objective of the study are all to assess student nurse's perception towards changing lecturers, to determine effect of changing lecturers towards academic performance, solutions on effects of changing lecturers towards academic performance. Chapter two considers the view of others in relation to the topic of the research while chapter three dealt with the methodology of the research. chapter three and four also dealt with research design and method used, data was collected majorly from the student nurses of the colleges through personal interaction with the permission from the colleges research committee, the questionnaires were administered personally to the various respondents from various classes in the colleges. All 226 questionnaire were administered and recovered. Data was analyzed using frequency and percentage while results were presented in tables. It was concluded that, nursing school administrators should employ the various motivational techniques in order to retain their teachers, since the effects of teachers' instability have great consequences on every aspect of the students and following recommendations to were made on how best the problem of changing lecturers can be solved in our educational system. Some of the recommendations include, good salary, motivation, and promotion among other. These will reduce the rate of continuous changing in lecturers in our educational system thereby providing quality education for the upcoming generation.

BACKGROUND: The increasing use of technology in nursing practice requires nursing students to be competent in nursing informatics with an attitude of acceptance of technology in the healthcare environment. OBJECTIVES: The aim and objective of the study are all directed towards the knowledge, perception and Factor militating against the use of nursing informatics. Chapter two and three looks at the view of others in relation to the topic of the research while chapter three dealt with the methodology of the research. Chapter three and four also dealt with research design and method used. The finding also revealed that 219(96.9%) of the student nurses have positive perception towards nursing informatics. CONCLUSION:The study concluded that computer literacy skills, informatics literacy skills and information management skills were relevant to nursing practice, despite varying levels of competence in these skills among nurses

This study: elicit the perception of hospitalized patients about nurses confidentiality of medical information; examine if Nurses practice confidentiality of medical information in patients' care; and correlate the socio–demographic characteristics of patients with their level of perception about Nurses' practice of confidentiality of medical information. This study was carried out using descriptive research design to assess the Perception of hospitalized patients towards nurses' practice of confidentiality of Medical information. The design help to described specific phenomenon and find relationship among variable discussed. The study targeted at the patient on hospitalization in all wards and special unit of at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital Sagamu. Not – probability sampling technique and Yamane’s Formula was used to select 86 respondents from the two hospitals. The items of the questionnaire was derived from research objectives and a test and pre – test method was done to measure level of consistency of the instrument used and ensure reliability. The findings revealed that about 93% of the hospitalized patients have high level of perception toward nurses’ confidentiality. The study showed about 64% of the hospitalized patients proved that Nurses practice of confidentiality toward medical information in patients' care at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital Sagamu. It was concluded that about 93% of the hospitalized patients affirmed high perception towards nurses' practice of confidentiality of medical information at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital Sagamu. The study recommended that Nurses should ensure patients confidentiality and maintain patient comfort-ability and satisfaction with nursing care to the extent they will feel at home during the period of hospitalization. Occupational stress can no longer be considered an occasional, personal problem to be remedied wi... more Occupational stress can no longer be considered an occasional, personal problem to be remedied with palliative. it is becoming an increasing global phenomenon, affecting all categories of workers, all workplaces and all countries of which nurses of Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja are not exceptional. This reach aimed at accessing the perceived impact of nurses workload on patients care among nurses working in Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja, Kogi State. Data for the study was gathered from both primary and secondary sources. Samples of 160 nurses were selected using random sampling method, 150 questionnaires were returned and was analyzed with simple statistical measures. The study instrument was in four sections which contained socio-demographic variables, nurses knowledge, impact of nurses workload on patients among nurses. Results from the data indicate that long hour duties among nurses (115), shortage of manpower (100) and working with new and inexperienced nurses (95) is the main causes of workload in Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja, Kogi State and the impact of workload among nurses in Federal Teaching Hospital, Lokoja is error of omission and malpractice(80) and the coping strategies is taking a shower and rest in a quiet environment (70), going for a break (40) engaging in hobbies such as singing(20) and watching television, movies and engage in social media(50). It was established from the research that workload affect output, quality of work which can lead to client dissatisfaction of nurses. Therefore, It was concluded that workload has negative relation with the performance of nurses. It has also revealed important issues affecting patients life and quality of care as perceived by the nurses as the primary caregivers. Reducing nurses work overload and recruiting nurses assistants to carry out non nursing tasks can promote patients outcomes and increase quality of nursing care.

These errors expose victims to permanent disability, loss of work, hardships and poorer quality of life. This study: assessed the effects of workload and staffing level on medication error; determine the influence of distraction and interruption during serving of drugs; and assessed factors influencing medication error among nurses working at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Ogun. Descriptive non-experiment research design was used for this study, Taro Yammane's formula and simple random sampling technique was used to select 152 nurses. A well-constructed selfadministered structure questionnaire was developed and given to project supervisor for corrections to ensure validity. Also, reliability of the instrument was determined by test re-test method. The researcher seek the consent of respondents, questionnaire was administered and retrieved on the spot for analysis purposes. The result showed that about 87% of medication error are related to effect of workload among nurses. The findings revealed that 84% of medication error are due to distraction and interruption during medication procedure. The study showed that the factors influence medication error are; wrong prescription from doctors, illegible hard writing, single-nurses administration of drugs, and Failure to follow ward-round update among nurses.

Objectives: The objectives of the study are to : asses the knowledge of nurses; attitudinal disposition; and factors influencing perceptions towards effectiveness of digital age transformation in nursing care practice at Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja, Kogi State. Methods: A descriptive research design was used, Taro Yamane's formula was used to calculate sample size, stratified and simple random sampling technique was used to select 160 respondents. a well-structured questionnaire was developed from the literature review in line with the specific objective of the study. Data obtained were organized, summarized and analyzed through IBM Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25 while hypothesis was tested. Results: The results showed that majority 133(83.1%) of the Nurses have good knowledge towards effectiveness of digital age transformation on nursing care practice. This study also showed that nearly 120(75%) of the Nurses have positive attitudinal disposition towards digital age transformation. More so, this study find that almost 90(56.3%) of the staff nurses were strongly agreed that power supply is one of the major problem in Nigeria digital age transformation in nursing practice, while exact 85(53.1%) of the registered nurses were strongly agreed that Cost of effective implementation of digital nursing transformation is a key factor affecting digitization in nursing practice among nurses working in Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja, Kogi State.

Background: School Clinic is a health care facility within school intended to provide basic healt... more Background: School Clinic is a health care facility within school intended to provide basic health care for students and refer them to the specialist or primary health center, these appreciate efforts and consideration to protect the health of children and other children with whom they may come in contact. This study was to assessing the impacts of the school clinic on academic performance on selected secondary schools in Oyo state. Methods: The target populations of the study comprised only Senior Secondary School one to three (SSS 1-3) students within Ibadan metropolis, Oyo State. The study adopted non-experimental survey using quantitative approach. Purposive and simple random sampling techniques were used to select the sample. Assessing the Impacts of the School Clinic on Academic Performance on Selected Secondary Schools Questionnaire (AISCAPQ) was used to collect data for the study. Frequency and percentage scores of descriptive statistics were used to analyse research questions. Results: The findings showed that school clinic is very supportive to teaching and learning outcome of the students through ability to have access to a good source for health information (59%), able to identify their health needs (57%), stayed in good physical health (59%) and mental health environments (41%). More also, the students have access to obtain test (23%), good medical treatment (28%) and also have access to specialist (23%). The study further showed that the impact of school clinic practices manifested in student academic performances through quick accessibility to drugs for immediate treatment which keeps them healthy for learning (71%) and provisions of treated bed nets in the school hostel that prevented malaria parasites and also protected the students learning activities (64%). The result further showed that there was a great relationship between the use of school clinic and student academic performance in the selected secondary schools which have manifested in reduction of students absenteeism (30%), drop-outs (31%) and also improved school performance (38%). Conclusion: The study concluded that school clinic was very supportive to teaching and learning, has good impact and also contributed to the students’ academic performance. The study recommended that each school should have school clinic and psychological care should part of services deliver by health care personnel in the clinic. Government should ensure establishment of school clinic in all government school both in rural and urban area and government should ensure regulation standard of school clinic.

It is not an understatement that breastfeeding is the most suitable diet for a growing infant, proper breastfeeding practice are effective ways of reducing childhood morbidity and mortality. The objectives of the study is to access the knowledge of nursing mothers regarding exclusive breastfeeding, to verify their attitudes toward exclusive breastfeeding and to know if nursing mothers practice exclusive breastfeeding. The significant of the study is to know why exclusive breastfeeding is not being practice among nursing mother and ways to improve on it such as increase maternity leave to 6months and encourage family members to provide support and assistance to nursing mothers. The target populations were nursing mother in Saki west local Government. A descriptive research was used to select 200 respondents using accidental sampling technique. The main instrument for data collection was questionnaire which consists of 21 items. Data were summarized by simple percentage, frequency table while the hypothesis was analyzed by chi-square at 0.05 level of significance, 52% have good knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding, 54% have poor attitude while 91.5% practice exclusive breastfeeding. The hypothesis shows that there is no significant difference between religion of nursing mother and attitude toward exclusive breastfeeding and also there is no significant difference between employed and unemployed nursing mother. It was recommended that every nursing mother should be actively involve in the practice of exclusive breastfeeding and Government should established crèche in each of our working place for easy access of mother to their child. From the finding it was concluded that health education and proper training of health worker and counseling of nursing mothers and their husband will improve the practice of exclusive breastfeeding.

School clinic is a health care facility located within the school premises intended to provide basic health care services for students and refer them to the specialist or primary health center if it is necessarily important, this study was to assessing the need for school clinic during an outbreak of covid-19 pandemic in Nigeria. The target populations of the study were primary and secondary school students in Nigeria. A descriptive of non-experimental survey approach was used to select hundred (100) respondents using convenience non-probability sampling technique. Assessing the Impacts of the School Clinic on Academic Performance on Selected Secondary Schools (AISCAPS) questionnaire was used to collect data for the study. Frequency tables and percentage scores were used to describe the data findings while the research questions were analyzed. The findings showed that treatment that the students received in school clinic promote their academic performance (71%), drugs stocked in the school clinic cupboard are used for immediate treatment of emergency situation (66%), and drugs were available for sick students for effective teaching and learning process (66%), 30% of respondents claimed that present of school clinic reduced their absenteeism, The result also showed that students gained access to a good source of health information (59%), Students concords that health needs influence their academic performance (57%), and the students who stayed in good physical health (59%). The study equally showed that the students utilized the school clinic for an illness (78%), students received adequate health information from the school clinic (75%), the students that paid for the school clinic services as part of tuition fees were (70%) and 69% school clinic refers students to nearby Hospital when necessary. The study recommended that each school should have school clinic and psychological care should part of services deliver by health care personnel in the clinic. The family planning has called for worldwide attention as a result of its associated benefits and importance in family size decision making, control of population growth and regulation. The study objectives were; to assess the family planning knowledge among nursing mothers, to assess family planning practice, to determine factors influencing usage of new modern family planning methods among lactating mothers. The important of this study is to give standard nursing care and encourage family planning solution to lactating mothers who is facing challenges. The target group is nursing mothers attending child welfare clinic in LUTH. The adopted method for the study was correlation type of descriptive design and the total study population size for three (3) months comprised six hundred (600) nursing mothers, the sample size was determined using Taro Yamane's formula and 240 nursing mothers were selected by convenient method. Questionnaire was developed using instrumentation called Knowledge and Practice of Family Planning among Nursing Mothers Questionnaire (KPFPANMQ) to gathered data which was analyzed descriptively and deferentially. The finding from the study showed that about 60% of Nursing Mothers have good Knowledge of family planning, exact 53% of Nursing Mothers were unable to practice family planning effectively. About 52% of the participants claimed that false beliefs, unwanted weight gain, myths, negative perceptions and sudden changes in mood were the most determining factor preventing women from utilizing new modern family planning in developing community. The study further showed that lack of appropriate sex education will result to abnormal sexual attitude and behavior. The study hypothesis stated that there is no significant different between the educational backgrounds and knowledge of family planning in the study area was rejected (T-Cal= 136.98, df = 239 & p< 0.5). It was concluded that the practice of family planning among nursing mothers were very low despite the affordability, availability and accessibility of new modern family planning method. It was recommended that Nurses should promote effective utilization of family planning among nursing women during antenatal care and in the community.

Objectives: The objectives of the study are to : asses the knowledge of nurses; attitudinal disposition; and factors influencing perceptions towards effectiveness of digital age transformation in nursing care practice at Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja, Kogi State. Methods: A descriptive research design was used, Taro Yamane's formula was used to calculate sample size, stratified and simple random sampling technique was used to select 160 respondents. a well-structured questionnaire was developed from the literature review in line with the specific objective of the study. Data obtained were organized, summarized and analyzed through IBM Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25 while hypothesis was tested. Results: The results showed that majority 133(83.1%) of the Nurses have good knowledge towards effectiveness of digital age transformation on nursing care practice. This study also showed that nearly 120(75%) of the Nurses have positive attitudinal disposition towards digital age transformation. More so, this study find that almost 90(56.3%) of the staff nurses were strongly agreed that power supply is one of the major problem in Nigeria digital age transformation in nursing practice, while exact 85(53.1%) of the registered nurses were strongly agreed that Cost of effective implementation of digital nursing transformation is a key factor affecting digitization in nursing practice among nurses working in Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja, Kogi State.

Background: School Clinic is a health care facility within school intended to provide basic healt... more Background: School Clinic is a health care facility within school intended to provide basic health care for students and refer them to the specialist or primary health center, these appreciate efforts and consideration to protect the health of children and other children with whom they may come in contact. This study was to assessing the impacts of the school clinic on academic performance on selected secondary schools in Oyo state. Methods: The target populations of the study comprised only Senior Secondary School one to three (SSS 1-3) students within Ibadan metropolis, Oyo State. The study adopted non-experimental survey using quantitative approach. Purposive and simple random sampling techniques were used to select the sample. Assessing the Impacts of the School Clinic on Academic Performance on Selected Secondary Schools Questionnaire (AISCAPQ) was used to collect data for the study. Frequency and percentage scores of descriptive statistics were used to analyse research questions. Results: The findings showed that school clinic is very supportive to teaching and learning outcome of the students through ability to have access to a good source for health information (59%), able to identify their health needs (57%), stayed in good physical health (59%) and mental health environments (41%). More also, the students have access to obtain test (23%), good medical treatment (28%) and also have access to specialist (23%). The study further showed that the impact of school clinic practices manifested in student academic performances through quick accessibility to drugs for immediate treatment which keeps them healthy for learning (71%) and provisions of treated bed nets in the school hostel that prevented malaria parasites and also protected the students learning activities (64%). The result further showed that there was a great relationship between the use of school clinic and student academic performance in the selected secondary schools which have manifested in reduction of students absenteeism (30%), drop-outs (31%) and also improved school performance (38%). Conclusion: The study concluded that school clinic was very supportive to teaching and learning, has good impact and also contributed to the students’ academic performance. The study recommended that each school should have school clinic and psychological care should part of services deliver by health care personnel in the clinic. Government should ensure establishment of school clinic in all government school both in rural and urban area and government should ensure regulation standard of school clinic.

It is not an understatement that breastfeeding is the most suitable diet for a growing infant, proper breastfeeding practice are effective ways of reducing childhood morbidity and mortality. The objectives of the study is to access the knowledge of nursing mothers regarding exclusive breastfeeding, to verify their attitudes toward exclusive breastfeeding and to know if nursing mothers practice exclusive breastfeeding. The significant of the study is to know why exclusive breastfeeding is not being practice among nursing mother and ways to improve on it such as increase maternity leave to 6months and encourage family members to provide support and assistance to nursing mothers. The target populations were nursing mother in Saki west local Government. A descriptive research was used to select 200 respondents using accidental sampling technique. The main instrument for data collection was questionnaire which consists of 21 items. Data were summarized by simple percentage, frequency table while the hypothesis was analyzed by chi-square at 0.05 level of significance, 52% have good knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding, 54% have poor attitude while 91.5% practice exclusive breastfeeding. The hypothesis shows that there is no significant difference between religion of nursing mother and attitude toward exclusive breastfeeding and also there is no significant difference between employed and unemployed nursing mother. It was recommended that every nursing mother should be actively involve in the practice of exclusive breastfeeding and Government should established crèche in each of our working place for easy access of mother to their child. From the finding it was concluded that health education and proper training of health worker and counseling of nursing mothers and their husband will improve the practice of exclusive breastfeeding.

School clinic is a health care facility located within the school premises intended to provide basic health care services for students and refer them to the specialist or primary health center if it is necessarily important, this study was to assessing the need for school clinic during an outbreak of covid-19 pandemic in Nigeria. The target populations of the study were primary and secondary school students in Nigeria. A descriptive of non-experimental survey approach was used to select hundred (100) respondents using convenience non-probability sampling technique. Assessing the Impacts of the School Clinic on Academic Performance on Selected Secondary Schools (AISCAPS) questionnaire was used to collect data for the study. Frequency tables and percentage scores were used to describe the data findings while the research questions were analyzed. The findings showed that treatment that the students received in school clinic promote their academic performance (71%), drugs stocked in the school clinic cupboard are used for immediate treatment of emergency situation (66%), and drugs were available for sick students for effective teaching and learning process (66%), 30% of respondents claimed that present of school clinic reduced their absenteeism, The result also showed that students gained access to a good source of health information (59%), Students concords that health needs influence their academic performance (57%), and the students who stayed in good physical health (59%). The study equally showed that the students utilized the school clinic for an illness (78%), students received adequate health information from the school clinic (75%), the students that paid for the school clinic services as part of tuition fees were (70%) and 69% school clinic refers students to nearby Hospital when necessary. The study recommended that each school should have school clinic and psychological care should part of services deliver by health care personnel in the clinic. Government should ensure establishment of school clinic in all government school both in rural and urban area and government should ensure regulation standard of school clinic.

This study assessed the knowledge and practice of family planning among nursing-mothers attending... more This study assessed the knowledge and practice of family planning among nursing-mothers attending child-welfare clinic in Lagos university teaching hospital (LUTH), Lagos state. The family planning has called for worldwide attention as a result of its associated benefits and importance in family size decision making, control of population growth and regulation. The study objectives were; to assess the family planning knowledge among nursing mothers, to assess family planning practice, to determine factors influencing usage of new modern family planning methods among lactating mothers. The important of this study is to give standard nursing care and encourage family planning solution to lactating mothers who is facing challenges. The target group is nursing mothers attending child welfare clinic in LUTH. The adopted method for the study was correlation type of descriptive design and the total study population size for three (3) months comprised six hundred (600) nursing mothers, the sample size was determined using Taro Yamane's formula and 240 nursing mothers were selected by convenient method. Questionnaire was developed using instrumentation called Knowledge and Practice of Family Planning among Nursing Mothers Questionnaire (KPFPANMQ) to gathered data which was analyzed descriptively and deferentially. The finding from the study showed that about 60% of Nursing Mothers have good Knowledge of family planning, exact 53% of Nursing Mothers were unable to practice family planning effectively. About 52% of the participants claimed that false beliefs, unwanted weight gain, myths, negative perceptions and sudden changes in mood were the most determining factor preventing women from utilizing new modern family planning in developing community. The study further showed that lack of appropriate sex education will result to abnormal sexual attitude and behavior. The study hypothesis stated that there is no significant different between the educational backgrounds and knowledge of family planning in the study area was rejected (T-Cal= 136.98, df = 239 & p< 0.5). It was concluded that the practice of family planning among nursing mothers were very low despite the affordability, availability and accessibility of new modern family planning method. It was recommended that Nurses should promote effective utilization of family planning among nursing women during antenatal care and in the community.

in nursing practice requires nursing students to be competent in nursing informatics with an
attitude of acceptance of technology in the healthcare environment. OBJECTIVES: The aim
and objective of the study are all directed towards the knowledge, perception and Factor

others in relation to the topic of the research while chapter three dealt with the methodology
of the research. Chapter three and four also dealt with research design and method used.
METHOD: Data was collected majorly from the student nurses of the colleges through
personal interaction with the permission from the colleges research committee, the
questionnaires were administered personally to the various respondent from various classes
in the college. All 226 questionnaire were administered and recovered .Data was analyzed
using frequency and percentage while result where presented in tables.The result showed that
194(85.8%) of the student nurses have good knowledge of nursing informatics. The finding
also revealed that 219(96.9%) of the student nurses have positive perception towards nursing
informatics. CONCLUSION:The study concluded that computer literacy skills, informatics
literacy skills and information management skills were relevant to nursing practice, despite
varying levels of competence in these skills among nurses

the questionnaire was derived from research objectives and a test and pre – test method was done to measure level
of consistency of the instrument used and ensure reliability. The findings revealed that about 93% of the
hospitalized patients have high level of perception toward nurses’ confidentiality. The study showed about 64% of
the hospitalized patients proved that Nurses practice of confidentiality toward medical information in patients' care
