How to classify applications by page has been the major concern facing users. However, most cellphone-related designs are at the service of young generations, ignoring middle-aged groups who use cellphones at increasingly higher frequencies. This study, through literature review, focused on three paging styles relatively more suitable to middle-aged users: Leading paging style, Scrolling paging style, and Folder paging style. We adopted an ANOVA repeated-measure experimental design. Subjects took three experiments on paging styles, in order to discuss the three paging styles with respect to usability. Subsequently, we proposed the design on smartphone paging style. The findings indicated that, as far as middle-aged users are concerned, of the highest-usability is the Leading paging style, followed by Scrolling paging style and Folder paging style respectively.

Subsequent to previous two surveys [1][2] that investigated the affective feelings of users towards different agent interfaces, the outcomes that resulted from the two surveys have been adopted in conjunction with some existing guidelines in order to develop this multi-agent website. The development of this multi-agent website for inexperienced English learners has been developed with respect to the research results of the previous two surveys [1][2]. These results include the preferred agent interface design for language learners and the facial expressions of agents that attract users to engage in the learning tasks. Therefore, this is a website designed with preferred agent interfaces that is likely to attract users to further their engagement in the language practice tasks. The website also incorporates ten characters equipped with six basic expressions as we...

Additionally, the first impression of humans toward agents is the visual representations. How these man-made creatures’ looks determine users’ will to interact with. This research focuses on the appearances of embodied agents to investigate the affective interactions between users and agents. This study conducted one experiment to study the affective influences of embodied conversational agents (ECAs) on users in the learning tasks. A one-factor-at-three-levels counterbalanced by within-subjects design is employed in this study. This study asks whether there are significant experiential differences between ECAs when they are represented by different character classifications, such as character preference, user engagement and user-agent relationships. The main contributions of this study are summarised as follows: (1) character classifications can be related to human affective factors; and (2) there ...

All countries in the world have already planned education in the direction of integrating information technology into teaching. Therefore, the application of information technology in education has become a global teaching trend. The purpose of this study is to integrate the virtual reality (VR) of information technology into the teaching of system of linear equations in three unknowns in high school mathematics and to explore the learning motivation and effectiveness of students after digital teaching. In this study, a quasi-experimental research design and questionnaire survey method was used to design a set of high school mathematics VR tutorial material. The system of linear equations in three unknowns was used as the learning content, and only the experimental group students were used to adopt the VR and the traditional teacher's teaching method. Before and after the experiment, the subjects were filled out with the ARCS Model ...
