Through his music, rituals, and symbolic shrine, Fela championed the revival of African Indigenous Religion, resisting the dominance of foreign faiths, particularly Christianity and Islam, while challenging political corruption and social injustice. In contrast, Bishop Kukah, a Christian cleric, has consistently used his platform to critique political injustice, advocate for freedom and rights, and combat religious hypocrisy. Despite their differing methods-Fela's use of music for cultural and religious revival and Kukah's reliance on the pulpit and public discourse-both figures have sought to combat neocolonial subjugation and promote African self-emancipation. This study provides insights into the complex interplay between religion, politics, and cultural identity in contemporary Nigerian society by comparing and contrasting their approaches.

At age ten, Ogundipe was reportedly raised from the dead during the revival led by Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola. Thisevent helped cement the global recognition of Nigerian Pentecostal Christianity. Despite his impact, Ogundipe’s legacy has received limited academic attention. This historical-theological study explores his life, focusing on the intersection of his miraculous healing and his contribution to the spread of Pentecostal Christianity in Nigeria and across Africa. Utilising interviews with selected respondents, church documents, and bibliographical sources, the study reveals Ogundipe’s pivotal role in validating and promoting Pentecostalism, shaping its trajectory within Nigeria and the broader African context.

The objectives are to explore the historical development of TACN's theological institutions, assess their impact on doctrinal teaching and ministerial effectiveness, and identify the challenges in sustaining these educational programmes. Employing a historical and qualitative research methodology, the study utilises document analysis, interviews with key stakeholders – including faculty, alumni, and current students – and thematic analysis to gather insights into the evolving landscape of theological education in TACN. The findings reveal that TACN's commitment to theological education has significantly enhanced its leaders’ intellectual and spiritual capacities, contributing to the church’s doctrinal consistency and overall growth. Institutions such as The Apostolic Church Theological Seminary in Amumara and The Apostolic Church LAWNA Theological Seminary in Jos have structured ministerial training. However, challenges such as limited financial resources, cultural resistance to formal education, and the need to balance spiritual empowerment with academic rigour persist. The study concludes that for TACN to continue advancing its theological education programmes, it must invest strategically in infrastructure, technology, and faculty development while contextualising theological training to meet contemporary needs. The recommendations emphasise fostering a holistic approach integrating academic rigour with spiritual formation. This study contributes to understanding TACN's educational framework and offers practical insights for enhancing theological education within other Pentecostal movements facing similar challenges.

Through a historical lens, the study identifies several factors that contributed to the effective use of the print media in the propagation of Christianity across Africa. These factors include the development of orthography for various African languages, the establishment of Western education, the rise of African missionaries, the translation of the Bible into local languages, and the emergence of modern journalism, with a particular focus on Nigeria. The findings reveal that the print media significantly promoted the spread of the gospel by facilitating the contextualisation of Christian teachings, fostering a spirit of ecumenism, advancing Western education, and reinforcing the commitment to fulfilling the Christian mission in Africa. The paper concludes by suggesting that the continued production and distribution of Christian literature such as tracts, magazines, handbills, posters, and further Bible translations into African languages would greatly enhance the ongoing propagation of Christianity throughout the continent.

Many Christians have over the years been persecuted because they believe in Jesus Christ. When persecution persists, it could lead to many Christians withdrawing their allegiance to Jesus Christ and the religion at large. Nevertheless, instead of retrogressing, many Christians who are often faced with one persecution or the other have been seen to have continued unabated and unashamedly. What precipitated this was the assurance of having an 'unfading crown' waiting for them in heaven. Thus, using socio-historical analysis, this article examined the various persecutions that Christians face in Nigeria. It looked at attacks from the government, inter-religion, and intra-Christianity where Christians face persecution from fellow Christians and the issue of family. The gains of persecutions were also highlighted which are to point towards the fact that persecution is to make Christians continue to wax stronger and not diminish.

Its insurgent rate is felt in the many loss of lives, adverse economic effects, and a halt to religious gatherings and social interactions. From all of these, the issue of deception is one that many people were involved in during the emergence, lockdown and post-lockdown. The rate at which information integrity was not adhered to was so alarming that many Nigerians had hitherto believed that the issue of COVID-19 is indeed a hoax. Thus, using data gathered through secondary source (books, journal articles, and the Internet), this study examines the concept of deception as it pertains to the issue of COVID-19 with the government, companies and individuals. It also looks at the socio-religious implications of this deception in the country. It concludes that the issue of deception has made many people not trust the existence of the virus and how to tackle it headlong, but this is not to say that the COVID-19 pandemic is not real as evinced by some Nigerians.

Over the years, many attempts have been made in order to bring about a unified C&S church that would involve all the many factional bodies, which have also failed. Not until the 1980s when some group of students in higher institution came together to form a unified C&S church that will comprised of all the factional bodies. Since its first division in 1929, different divisions have also taken place, to the extent that churches that bear name with the C&S brand are now numerous, each with its own administrative and spiritual head. Over the years, however, there have been calls and movements for unity among these different factional bodies. This has resulted in the establishment of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria (C&SUCN). However, ever since its establishment, this body has faced one challenge or the other in its quest for the oneness of the church. Thus, this study investigated the outcomes establishing this body that has been tasked with unifying the C&S brand. It also examined the different challenges the body faces within its task. The study concluded that the unification drives in the C&SUCN are still a work in progress, owing to the many obvious challenges that are ominous and with which members are not willing to come to terms to chart a good course for the eventual oneness that has eluded them.

If Yoruba people by chance through their tradition could encroach the social order of the family structure by maintaining the biological dominance of male ahead of female, then it means that women have no say. In the oratory aspect of this tradition however, the construct of women acceptability in terms of their sacred features undermine the biological concept of male dominance. This is the area where Olupona (2011) itemised the role of female goddesses in Yoruba religion as more of important discussion and that balancing their role with that of male, particularly in the aspect of religion, will improve the cultural variables and etiquette of the Yoruba people. This paper however intends to look at this balancing through Yoruba oral proverbs, which personified women symbolically from the angle of deity specific. The paper argues that Yoruba epistemology through proverbs is a means of deconstructing the usual male hegemony in Yoruba tradition, and further concludes that ascribing dominance to male echelons is a reflection of social inequality because "what a man can do, a woman can do better". The paper will use semiotic analysis to portray the significant aspect of feminism in the proverbial sayings of the Yoruba people.

To contain the spread of the virus, most countries had no choice but to put their countries on lockdown, which has caused many hardships. There is virtually no aspect of life that has not been affected negatively, be it economic, social, political, educational, and so on. To this effect, many countries got involved in the distribution of palliatives in cash and kind to cushion the impact of this pandemic on their citizens. In Nigeria, the case is not different as both the government and private firms, as well as some well-meaning individuals, got involved in distributing palliatives to the citizens. However, many citizens complained of not receiving any of these palliatives from the government, private firms, and individuals. It was later discovered that the palliatives meant for the citizens were stocked up in some government warehouses in many parts of the country. This made many of the citizens go in search of these warehouses and loot them. Thus, this study seeks to probe into Christianity's and Pragmatism's viewpoints on the palliative warehouses' looting aspect. It aims to know the morals involved in the reality of life as presented by the actions of the masses.

Barely some years into its establishment in 1925, division broke out between the two founders (Moses Orimolade and Christiana Emanuel nee Akinsowon). Ever since this division, numerous divisions have also taken place that have further divided this church into different factional bodies. After many failed attempts to bring the different factional bodies together, there began to be a glimpse of hope as some groups of persons began to gather together as a unification body for the hitherto divided church in the 1980s. Thus, this study traced the historical emergence of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, linking it to the need for a unified Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church. It also examined the different beliefs and organisation of the church.

Outstanding among all is the challenge of insecurity of lives and properties. In Nigeria, there is the scourge of internet fraudsters known as Yahoo Yahoo, which have swindled many unsuspecting victims their hard-earned resources. Interestingly, the teaming youth population are the major players when it comes to this societal menace. Despite various efforts being put in place by the government to forestall the activities of these fraudsters, the propagators have sought other avenues to continue to be relevant in their nefarious acts. Thus, using questionnaire and in-depth interviews to gather its data, the study traced the trend that led to the engagement of youths' in Yahoo Yahoo. It analysed the effect of the practice of Yahoo Yahoo. It also examined the major religions (Indigenous religion, Islam, and Christianity) in the country and the roles they play in mitigating against the Yahoo Yahoo phenomenon in the country.
