This is a performance piece that theorizes the rhetoric of pathologization through a scripted conversation between Doctor and patient. Drawing on our lived experiences as disabled, Mad, and/or neurodivergent people, we offer this exchange to resist compulsory able-bodymindedness that pathologizes non-normative bodyminds and interlocks with other systems of oppression. By bridging our experiences, we craft a coalitional resistance to the MIC that is grounded in genealogies of women of color feminisms, queer and trans of color critiques, Two-Spirit critiques, and Disability Justice.
