The strategy of this movement is based on a network of Case del Popolo where activists participate in direct social action such as free legal advice, alternative cultural activities or food distribution. Focusing our research on South Italy, this form of collective action will be analysed through the concepts of the actionalist theory. This will allow us to understand to what extent these new Case del Popolo can act as hubs for repoliticisation. The data used in this article are based on a qualitative method including interviews in the sites under investigation, a participant observation and the analysis of the communication of the political movement.

EN: This article focuses on the model of partisan social action experimented in Naples, in the House of the people located in a former Judicial psychiatric hospital. This 9,000 m2 complex, abandoned for several years, was occupied by a collective of communist activists in 2015, with the aim of giving life to social, political and cultural practices through the principle of self-management. In 2017, the collective decided to found the radical-left political organization Potere al popolo! (Power to the people!). The complex was then converted into a House of the people, where activists now experiment a hybrid model of social action. To analyze this model, we propose the concept of « partisan social action », defined as a kind of collective action involving the production of social practices by a political organization. At the empirical level, we present the history of this collaborative project and report on the practices organized by participants within this space. We also analyze the logics of action on which this model is based, and how they have evolved since the founding of Potere al popolo!. Finally, drawing on the actionist theory developed by Alain Touraine, we examine the effects of partisan social action within the House of the people in Naples, in terms of the redefinition of their cultural identity by the actors involved. In conclusion, we discuss the relationship between cultural citizenship and the processes of subjectivization.
Keywords: partisan social action, ethnicization, cultural citizenship, subjectivization, emancipation, Naples, Potere al popolo!, Ex-Opg, citizen participation, political participation, democracy, social movements, activism, Italy
