I see other tasks for wiki's requesting this are subtasks of https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T372562. I'm not sure how to make this task a subtask.

I have created the bot's userpage as per the recommendation. (Translation is still in progress)

Link to userpage : https://af.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gebruiker:Outomatiese_moderator

I don't have the ability to do so, but can someone move this to the deployment requests column of Automoderator, please?

Thanks for taking the steps to get this set up @Rooiratel! Is there anything I can do to help with Step 3?

Hi @Samwalton9-WMF thank you very much. I think I should be able to do it by myself without any issues. I have just been busy lately. I will try get it done sometime in the next 2-3 weeks. If I get stuck I will mention it here.

@Samwalton9-WMF I have now created the false positives page. However I've had some trouble along the way. I can't find anything in the documentation about where this page should be located.

Somewhere it said it must be a "normal wikipedia page". I assume that means it must be in the Main namespace? Would it not be better to place it in the :"Wikipedia" Namespace?

For now I've put the page as a sub-page of our automoderator's User page : https://af.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gebruiker:Outomatiese_moderator/Vals_positiewe

I'm not sure if it is correct to place this page here or not.

Also using the template provided for this page, at the bottom it requests that I create a "Preload page" which I see will be a subpage of the "False positives" page. What exactly is this preload page?

I have now also completed translating the Strings on translatewiki (Step 1.2)

Great question, apologies that this wasn't clear. This page can be created wherever you think is appropriate - the main namespace is indeed not a good location! I've added a note to the deployment steps page.

This page is used when users click the 'Report false positive' button, to place text in the new section box asking them questions about where the false positive occurred. For example, on tr.wiki:

Thanks @Samwalton9-WMF I have seen the note you added regarding the False Positives page. You mentioned it can be a subpage of the Automod User page, so I think I will leave ours as is.

Regarding the "Preload" page, I am still not quite clear on what it is supposed to be. Is there any specific content I must put in there?

Ah, in the section about the false positive page in our deployment guide you'll see at the bottom the content to be translated for this page:

Got it, thanks! I missed that section somehow, sorry.

Okay so now I have created the preload page and translated it as well. Is there anything else I need to do before Automoderator can be enabled on afwiki?

One more thing: @Samwalton9-WMF since we haven't configured this yet, how much of a pain would it be to change the username?

I realized it would be simpler and still correct in Afrikaans to just name the user OutoModerator.

I will of course update all the translations, and then can I just move the "User page" that I had created to the one under the new name?

We haven't done anything yet so you're very welcome to change the name and update translations/user pages :)

Okay awesome. I'll advise when I'm done.

@Samwalton9-WMF I have completed all changes necessary (moving pages, translations etc.) to update the username.

The new username is : OutoModerator

The new user page is : https://af.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gebruiker:OutoModerator

All subpages have been moved accordingly.
