Floral designs are in fashion everywhere. Nowadays, we find a number of floral patterns and designs around us in architecture, textiles or ceramics. We can easily find splendid floral work in lawn prints, bridal wear, bridal jewellery, ceramics, architecture, furniture and various home décor accessories. I have visited a number of fashion designers’ houses, have attended fashion shows, lawn launchings, and jewellery and ceramics exhibitions all over the Pakistan. I observe the anticipation, excitement, enthusiasm and love of people for such designs.

He completed his B-Des four years degree in Gems and Jewelry Design with distinction in his thesis collection “Legacy of Pashtun Jewelry” at Pakistan institute of Fashion and Design Lahore Pakistan in July 2015. He developed a number of innovative jewelry collections with precious metals and gemstones. His superb fineness and skillful craftsmanship, presented splendid and one of a kind handmade pieces. Alizai represented his ideas, to glow up the beauty of every special event. Most of his collections are nature inspired. Other than that, he also took interest in abstract and making metallic sculptures. He play with a number of gemstones and metal pieces during drawings to make his design creative, bold and alive. is a reason of diminishing traditional arts and crafts. Pashtunareas of Pakistan are also slowly
and gradually following modern fashion trends, so their ethnic jewelry and dresses are losing
ground. Pashtun ethnic jewelry is heavy in weight due to which working women and men do not
feel comfortable to wear. The researcher aims to introduce Pashtun contemporary jewelry by
making fusion of conventional and contemporary jewelry. The jewelry collection is focused on
making lightweight and fine jewelry,which will be comfortable to wear everywhere for working
women and men.Inspiration was taken from arts and crafts, especially designs found in the
wood carvings of Swat Valley Pakistan, because these elements will help out in portraying
identity of the culture. The researcher aims to make a fusion of conventional Eastren techniques
with Western contemporary jewelry techniques and designs. Through experimental work it was
found that fusion of metal stamping, inlay, filigree, granulation and oxidation would give desired
results. The researcher designed and manufactured, a neckpiece, brooch, bangle, ring, earrings
and studs for the target audience, according to the required features.
