Tomasz Jelenski
Tomasz Jelenski has a PhD in Architecture and Urban Design from the Cracow University of Technology (2006) and MA in Interior Architecture from ASP Krakow (1997). During 2004/5 he was engaged as a visiting tutor at Cardiff University, from 2006 to 2009 he was an Assistant Professor at University of Information Technology & Management in Rzeszow. At present, he is an Assistant Professor at Cracow University of Technology, director of the International Centre of Education, also director of Postgraduate Programme in Urban Management at CUT. Chair of INTBAU Poland Chapter, fellow of INTBAU College of Chapters, member of the Board for Recruitment and Education of Foreigners in Poland. He has been widely lecturing e.g. at Jagiellonian University, Katowice Technical University, and International Summer Schools ‘Challenges of Sustainable Development in Poland’. Visiting professor at Georg-Simon-Ohm Hochschule Nurnberg, University of Prishtina, and Vienna University of Technology. He teaches History of Urbanism, Urban and Architectural Design, and Foundations of Sustainable Urban Development. Involved in UD workshops in Europe, America, and Africa. Won several project competitions. Author of publications on Sustainable Urbanism, Architecture, and Placemaking.
