Sadly Brenda lost her beloved father Dano Dennehy on the 24th April just days after she completed the London Marathon. In this episode, she shares the devastating phone call from her mother that changed everything.
While this is a very sad time for everyone who knew Dano, Brenda wants this episode to be a celebration of his life. She talks about how kind people have been since the terrible news and how important community is during tough times. Brenda also mentions her marathon experience of course and Julie gets in on the act with details on her new exercise routine.
We dedicate this episode to Dano and to Julie’s late father, Michael. -
We’re big fans of Sabrina Hill. You might know her from Instagram where she shares hair education tips with her 113 thousand Instagram followers or as the owner of Kopper Hair Salon right in the heart of Cork City. But there is much, much more to Sabrina’s story. In her 20s, she gave birth to her first son Aaron which saw her experience frightening postnatal psychosis. Then last year, in her 40s, she gave birth to her now one year old son Robin. In this episode she details the debilitating hyperemesis gravidarum (severe vomiting) she suffered throughout the pregnancy and how it tested her mental health. Sabrina also talked to us about anxiety and how women need to let go of the idea of being a burden on people. We loved this chat with Sabrina and hope you do too!
