Brent Robbins
Brent Dean Robbins, PhD, is Chair of the Department of Humanities & Human Sciences, and Associate Professor of Psychology at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. He has a doctorate in clinical psychology from Duquesne University. He is Past President of Division 32 of APA, Society for Humanistic Psychology, and on the Executive Board of Division 24 of APA, Society for Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology. He is editor-in-chief of Janus Head: Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature, Continental Philosophy, Phenomenological Psychology, and the Arts. Courses taught include Introduction to Psychology, Psychology of Emotion, Social Psychology, Research Methods, Statistics, Happiness Well-Being & Human Strengths, Existential & Phenomenological Psychology, and Theories of Personality, among others. His scholarship includes the study of emotion, neurophenomenology, the medicalization of the mind and body, anxiety disorders, and psychosis.
