Paolo Bozzuto
Graduated in Architecture (Faculty of Architecture, Politecnico di Milano, 2000), he holds a PhD in Urban Planning (IUAV University, Venice, 2003).
Adjunct Professor at Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy) since Academic Year 2005/2006, he is currently teaching “Urban Open Space Design” (Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning: Cities, Environment & Landscapes - School of Architecture Urban Planning Construction Engineering).
His professional and research works focus on the new forms of design capable of interacting with the construction of urban policies, and on the forms of design for uncertain and over-determined contexts: cycling mobility, sustainable mobility, strategic planning, scenario building, visioning and participation processes.
Member of several research teams of the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies – Politecnico di Milano, he worked on many plans and projects, among which:
- Research Project “Historical Atlas of Cycling in Lombardy”, funded by Lombardy Region (2015);
- International competition “Appointment of Special Advisor - Plan Capital 2030 Update” established by the Urban Planning Council of Abu Dhabi – UAE (2013);
- Research and design contract “DUBAI Urban Master Plan - Phase 2 Vision and Indicator Framework”, with AECOM Middle East (2010);
- Counseling contract for URBIS about the “Dubai Urban Development Framework” (2008);
- Research contract “Scenario building for the public city renewal: local resources, problems, projects” (2007);
- Proposal for the provision of consultancy about the “Dubai Urban Development Framework” (2007);
- Research and planning contract “A participation path to Reggio Emilia PTCP” (Province of Reggio Emilia, 2006-2007);
- Two-year national interest research, co-funded by the italian Ministry of Education, University and Research: “The ‘Public City’ as a Design Laboratory. The Production of Guidelines for the Sustainable Renewal of Urban Suburbs”, working with the Polytechnic of Milan research unit on the topic: “Design for the Sustainable Renewal of the ‘Public City’” (2005-2007);
- Research and planning contract “Città di città Strategic Project” (Province of Milan, 2005-2007);
- Research and planning contract “Martesana-Adda plan” (Province of Milan, 2005-2006);
