Christy Wampole
Christy Wampole is Associate Professor in the Department of French and Italian at Princeton University. In 2011, she obtained her Ph.D. in the Department of French and Italian at Stanford University. Her specific areas of focus are 19th-, 20th-, and 21-st century French and Italian literature, and she recently completed her dissertation on essayistic fiction in 20th-century France and Italy. She spent a year at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris as a researcher and has published various articles, translations, and book reviews in New York Times, the New Yorker, MLN, Modern Language Review, l'Esprit créateur, Small Axe, Chimères: A Journal of French Literature, Quaderni di Synapsis, The French Review, and Yale French Studies. From 2005 to 2010, she was managing editor of Modernism/Modernity, the official journal of the Modernist Studies Association. She was production manager of Robert Harrison's radio show Entitled Opinions.
